This is a review of the tea rooms (known as Brethren's Kitchen) only, although they are attached to the historic accommodation for ex-servicemen and their wives. The tea rooms help fund maintainable of the buildings, as do tours of the 'hospital'. Note, it is not a hospital but the original meaning of the word hospital meant accommodation for needy, elderly etc.
I went there with my niece who was visiting Warwick for the first time as it is a very quaint old tea room and they have really good cakes and beautiful tea pots etc. We sat inside, although if you pay to look around the rest of the place you are also able to sit outside by the lawns. The place is quite small and may not be so easy to get around if you have a wheelchair, Pram etc. The tea and coffee were excellent and the cakes delicious. Staff are very friendly. You pay at a hatch on the way out and they know exactly which bill to bring without you having to tell them. Worth visiting but note, they are not open in the winter so check opening times if visiting specially. read more
