I don't usually write reviews but I must in this instance. If you are white -- stay away! I have…read morehad a bad cold and just needed some antibiotics so I spent a lot of time booking an appointment etc online. I was not welcomed when I entered the lobby but instead the front desk clerk said, "Our computers are down so I cannot check you in." with a frown and a grunt. I waited and waited, observing that indeed their system was back up. I approached the desk with my ID and insurance card but she flatly told me "you have to complete all the forms online and you did not do that..." No, I did not do that because I would rather fill out the forms with old fashioned pen and ink. When I stated that she went in the back to get the Nurse Practitioner who told me I was being 'rude and obnoxious'? Huh? I am 60 years old, I have numerous advanced educational degrees and was not feeling too great. No other clients were in the lobby. I said "I did not come here to fight with you, I just want to be seen..." She didn't care. I was told to behave better or I would be ejected from their facilities! Well, I filled out the form, gave my payment to the clerk and clicked the pen on the counter. Wrong thing to do! Apparently I clicked the pen rudely. Those 2 whispered and huddled together and I was told to leave! I have been previously to this same facility with no problems. Staff and management change? I went over the the Ascension Urgent Care on Memorial Blvd and had a very pleasant experience, which greatly improved my day. Oh, by the way, they thought I was very sweet!

One nurse took my blood pressure, about 5 minutes later about nurse came in to give me the test. She was very nice, asked a few questions.. swabbed the inside of my nose and checked the back of my throat. She said results should come back about 48 hours. I know it was already about 7:30pm when I finished. Their office closes at 8pm. The lady at the front desk did not give an invoice when I left. I give this location 3 stars for overall experience. It was a very clean lobby area but it did not feel welcoming.

Diagnosed with an "unspecified virus". But I knew something was wrong so I went to another clinic the next day. It was mono (with concerning neurological symptoms). Which the other clinic knew from actually listening to me and confirmed with a blood test. This doctor tried to argue with me about my own symptoms, saying "that's not what your chart says" and "every time I say a symptom you say you don't have that". You ever heard those stories about how someone managed to just walk into a hospital, put on a white jacket, and started treating people without getting caught for a while? Pretty sure that's what Marina Samaan did, because there's no way she's been through medical school.

The nurse that brought me back was wearing a mask and took my vitals and did my screening. The doctor, however, came in without a mask and was very argumentative when I politely requested that she wear a mask. She claimed that they don't do that anymore and that "masks do not work". I was completely taken aback that a practicing health care provider was spouting off misinformation to me. How am I supposed to feel confident that I am receiving good care when the doctor (who sees sick people all day, apparently unmasked) is combative when asked to take infection control measures during an ongoing pandemic of an airborne virus? That certainly doesn't sounds like "do no harm" and makes me wonder how many patients she has infected due to ignorance and/or just plain negligence. She was completely patronizing to me and even laughed at me. If you or your loved one is medically vulnerable, I would suggest finding other options for urgent care. This was not a good experience left me shaken a bit.
