There are so many great cities to visit in the UK with numerous hospitality options. So what if we don't have the weather, we have great indoor facilities. St Davids park boasts 11 meeting rooms for corporate events as well as 147 en-suite bedrooms. This really is a fantastic venue, offering relaxing leisure activities for a wonderful breaks away. Located just outside Liverpool in Flintshire think family birthday treat and relaxing spa treatments in countryside oasis, think St Davids park. The spa treatments would go down really well for the ladies as a gift. This venue provides the perfect de-stressing environment offering full body massages and detoxing mud wraps. So get your spa vouchers and surprise that lady or lad in your life. A full day of pampering or relaxing will cost £50 for one person or if you want to book with a friend or partner £75 is a great deal. For that you get access to all leisure facilities as well as your very own Dever Bathrobe and slippers...yippeeee. If I was to have a POA for this I'd probably hit the gym first followed by a refreshing dip in the pool. I'd then head to the spa after a spot of lunch to get my Aromatherapy full body massage which would fly me straight to bliss city without red bull. Other treatments to choose from, each lasting an hour include - Back, Neck and Shoulder Massage with Chocolate Oil & Hot Stone Treatment - Mini Facial & Back Neck & Shoulder Massage - Mini Manicure & Mini Pedicure- Re-hydrating Facial. Or you can always choose the treatments you want from the brochure on the following link: http://www.devere.co.uk/dms/site/flyers/Spa-Menu-2008-2/Spa%20Menu%202008-2.pdf Room rates if you just want to stay and visit Chester or go shopping at Cheshire Oaks very depending on when you go, ranging from £60 on weekdays to £100 on week-ends, which is pretty standard for a 4* property. This really is a great place to stay and carries an ambiance which mixes the traditional exterior with the modern interior really well.

The service was great and they helped sing happy birthday and had a pianist play along. One word of warning: Don't believe the google directions on how to get to here. Instead simply follow the A494 and come off at the Buckley/St. David's Park exit (for the B5127).

The restaurant has a great menu and the food is very good. The rooms and the hotel are a whole was very clean and well presented. I would certainly stay there again.

Service was consistently poor, staff were mostly unfriendly and what was meant to have been a 'special' weekend ended up being a real let down. I hasten to add that none of the negatives we experienced were down to Covid-19. The only positive experience during our stay was the wonderful lady who served us drinks in the brasserie. Sadly for the Grosvenor, the service she provided only amplified how poor most other elements of our stay had been.

It was incredibly quiet given the fact it's next to a busy A road which is a bonus after a long journey to get there. Checkin was relatively painless and the receptionist was helpful. I have to knock marks off checkout as another receptionist was on the phone sorting out someone's booking for a wedding and another member of staff who could've helped us blatantly ignored us. The room was excellent. Clean, warm and inviting. Plenty of towels and pillows (and storage space.) The inclusive WiFi was fast which was excellent. Didn't have breakfast here but it smelt inviting. There's also a mini gym on site but we didn't make use of these facilities.

The room we stayed in was clean and tidy and the staff were all excellent, couldn't have asked for more.

I long to return to The Hotel Portmeirion again to fully explore the village and enjoy the tranquility and service we experienced there.
