This is a best western hotel, and when i stayed they were in the middle of being refurbished. When we walked into the hotel through a gazeboo it was a little shabby, there was a mix up with rooms and they hadnt booked enough for our party, but luckily they found space 1 person ended up with a suite for the price of a single room! The staff were lovely and very helpfull, there was no iron but a note saying you can ring and ask for one. The morning i was shocked to open my curtains and find work men stood there! Breakfast was nice but you had to ask for tea, coffee and toast. There was a young lad about 12 serving breakfast he was dressed lovely and smart and had impecible manners but i felt very uncomfortable being served by a child, but it is a family run resturant. I would stay again, up the road about a 10 min walk is a good chippy and a good chinese. Its to far to walk into town and im not sure about public transport. Best western have a website so you can see and read about the facilities. For the price i have stayed at better hotels. A nice touch was you can buy the teddy bear on your bed for £5 so i did! read more
