Ordered a tuna sandwich on a spinach wrap on 4/20 for $4.20. I advocate for shopping local on most things and subs are no different. I do love my Publix subs but their subs are sooo good too. Staff is friendly. There is indoor and outdoor seating. Facilities are clean. They have a lot of sandwich options too.

Walked in and i was greeted so kindly by Liz. She was so great i forgot to check i while i was there.i ordered the turkey sandwich and i tried the breakfast bagel. Their story is really great! A group of hs friends decided to start a business! And folks they are thriving for a reason! The sandwich is good and has fresh iceberg lettuce and tomatoes. I tried the old brew that was absolutely fantastic! Will be making myself a regular at Gateway Subs

Da Beast but chopped

I had Da Beast today but I had them do it like a chopped salad. While their sandwiches are great this is a WHOLE different level. I think they should have the chopped salad sub available for them to scoop. One sandwich at a time. Superb every time.

Absolutely phenomenal subs! The cold brew coffee is a game changer. I don't drink any other coffee anymore. I also buy the whole coffee beans from them! As they have a roaster at the location on 3rd Ave. The breakfast bagel named 'Fully loaded' blew my mind, all of the good stuff and I was able to get a cold brew as apart of their breakfast meal deal. Coffee and breakfast sandwich for around $12. The staff that looks over the shop are always friendly and make the place feel like a local business.

Place is awesome has a filtered water machine and is a good stop for food. Place seems clean and staff was cool.

When I love a place, I wax poetic, so get ready for I have been inspired. As I walk in I feel as…read morethough I am meeting an old soul, made of bricks and mortar. Wise, weathered and experienced; a full life heavily soaked with memories, stories and anecdotes. A life lived is the vibe J.J.'s gives. As I peruse the timeless passages in the store, I come upon shelves filled with a small eclectic variety of foods and sundries. Draft beer up front. Wine and beer varietals, many types and sizes of chips and a walk-in beer and wine cooler. The place has a welcoming, comfortable and casual feel throughout. Tables, chairs and a sofa reminiscent of Aunties or Grandma's place where you can slow your roll and reminisce. I was greeted by a friendly young man who confirmed I could order breakfast. On the boards overhead a long list of options. Mostly Wraps, Sanwiches and Salads. As well as a list of available breads. They are open from 8am to 8pm. Just before I ordered came an offer, "you can add or take off anything or choose any of the breads for any sandwich". I knew right away what I wanted. Extra Bacon BLT on pressed Cuban Bread. The results were sublime, every bite the same, the perfect crunch, uniform throughout, tempered by the exact proper portions of mayo, lettuce and tomato on warm pliable bread. Artistry for the palate and senses. I know a good sandwich when I taste one. My critique of sandwiches almost always centers and highlights the lack of ingredient order, quality, quantatative balance and construction. Thoroughly pleased, I decide to order take-out for my lunch and an omelet for my wife. I wanted an original, just as they make it, with no substitutions in order to test their further Mastery of Sandwichology. The Vito please, and since it's for lunch, mayo and dressing on the side to keep it dry. It was the closest they had to an Italian, my go to in all places that craft, meats and cheeses between 2 or more slices of bread. Hand crafted, artisenal, perfectly balanced, uniquely constructed , benefited by an abundance of trial and error and creative expertise that is only accomplished with substantial time and experience. The Vito was a lesson in the art of making a sandwich. Proportions and ingredients in perfect harmony. From the razor thin red onions and banana peppers to the quality of the constituents and the perfect order placement of the items. It was truly a masterful composition. I preffered it without the balsamic. Did I get lucky? Or is this what JJ's does daily. Can't wait to get back and find out. Plus, some extra money forsome of those items on the shelfs. Prices very reasonable and free parking out front. Come getcha some!

Really cool place. I've always seen this and have never stopped till now in the 20 odd years I've…read morelived here. Lots of beverage options and sandwiches. I think it's a better stop than the gas station if you're on the way to the beach. Though I did originally come here because I saw that they had gluten-free bread option, the gluten-free sandwich wasn't the best. I don't doubt that their gluten-full options are delicious. I would've just preferred the sandwich to be crispy. It was pretty soggy. But on the other hand, executing a gluten-free sandwich safely in a kitchen that has gluten is pretty challenging. I don't doubt that they did everything to cover the sandwich and prevent cross-contamination, which is probably the only reason it was soft instead of crispy. So I'm not shooting it down if you're looking for an option of something to eat and bring to the beach. Definitely go though if you're just looking for some beverages and chips, they had a lot of really cool stuff there!

Amazing place to grab coffee…read more Whenever I'm in this area and meet up with a friend for coffee we always come here. First the service is fantastic, my friend comes a lot so it's so sweet to see the staff members interact with her because it definitely has a cheers like environment. The owner is often here as well and he seems super friendly. Parking in this area is plentifull and there's a lot of seating both inside and outside. I've never seen it completely full to the point that we can't find a seat. This does seem to be a place that people come read a book and stay for a while. This time I tried the mud/wtr "coffee". It says that it's a different type of coffee that doesn't give you the jitters or crash as caffeine. I'm allergic to artificial sweeteners, so I was a little afraid that it had that as an ingredient, but it isn't sweet at all. I had it mixed with oat milk and served warm and I tried the chai flavor. There's chai and there's Matcha. It was absolutely delicious, I would get it again because it definitely gave me energy and they are right that I didn't feel any jitters. We also got a vegan croissant, which was delicious. It really does taste like an actual croissant and they warm it up for you. Prices here are very good, for such a cute environment. They are not up charging on these drinks. I highly recommend grabbing your coffee from here instead of a chain.

I used to HATE matcha... until I tried this combination!…read more I'm not a matcha person at all, but Brother Thomas in St. Pete just made me a total believer! I ordered their seasonal fresh-squeezed watermelon matcha, and it completely blew me away. They squeeze the watermelon juice in-house, and having that natural sweetness on the bottom layered under the matcha on top was the perfect, well-balanced combination. It was vibrant, gorgeous, and had just the right amount of sweetness to tone down the matcha flavor! Why this spot is a 10/10: Seating: Great indoor and outdoor seating setup Atmosphere: Super intimate and laid-back vibe, but still lively enough for conversation. It's an awesome study and remote work spot! Customer Service: Top-tier! The staff is so kind, helpful, and super knowledgeable if you ask for recommendations Price: Around $8-$10 for specialty seasonal drinks, which is so worth it for in-house fresh ingredients. I would honestly go back for another one in a heartbeat. Overall: 10/10 experience, and I'm already so excited to see what seasonal drinks they come up with for fall!
