This place was so good - I wish they had a location in Southern California, I think it would do so well here! Was in Florida for a friend's wedding and randomly stumbled upon this place and was so glad we did! Loved how customizable the bowls were - everything I got was really yummy and meshed well together. I got the 6 bowl because I honestly wanted to try 2 of the veggies but the 6 bowl was the only option w/ 2 veggies and getting a 4 bowl + 1 veggie was more expensive than a 6 bowl. But regardless - the potato noodle, kale caesar, garlic brocolli, basil mushrooms, bbq chicken and blackened chicken was all so good. I especially liked the char on the blackened chicken, it's hard to find a good char on chicken. The holy kale dressing was also amazing, I could drink that stuff. Would totally come again but I'm never in Florida so sadly I will not be able to return for the foreseeable future. read more

I learned about this place while en route to another restaurant! I was on my way to a different restaurant when I asked my Lyft driver if he knew of any healthy places in the area. He raved about this place and said he was on his was there after my stop. I asked if we could go there instead and off we went! I love that there are endless combos you can make and plenty of protein options. When I walked in it was packed but the line was moving faster than anticipated. It reminded me of the soup nazi episode from Seinfeld minus the angry chef because it was rather quiet inside, people would order and then shuffle down the line. When it was my turn, I went with the three: brown rice, green beans, and steak for an up charge. You even get your choice of sauce and I got the herb balsamic vinaigrette. Everything was MUCH better than I anticipated! The steak was tender and flavorful, the green beans were crisp, and the sauce although a bit tangier than expected, was the perfect addition to the meal. This bowl was absolutely amazing. I ate every morsel on my plate. I love the cold, sweet potato noodles on any and all my bowls from here. I love that you can customize to however much food you want based on the different bowl sizes. There is ample parking in this lot and usually always a line when you go inside to order, but it does not take long to get your food. Although they are now a chain and are wide spread around the Tampa Bay Area markets, the quality of the food has been the same at all locations we have been to. Doesn't look like much from the outside but man was this place poppin! I didn't really know how the menu worked at first but after reviewing with the staff I decided to get the four. I got the sweet potato noodle, Caesar kale, roasted sweet potatoes, Parmesan cheese, grilled chicken and guacamole. Presentation wise it was 10/10. It even tasted as good as it looked. I was on a work trip a couple weeks ago to st. Petersburg and one of my locally based Co workers recommended we all do lunch at fresh kitchen. He said it was healthy and tasty. Fresh kitchen delivered! I had the biggest combo possible, 1 veggie, 1 starch, 3 proteins. I had the broccoli, mashed potato/cauliflower, almond baked chicken, bbq chicken, and another chicken flavor I can't remember, I think it was garlic/herb. Everything was seasoned well! I think that is the misconception with healthy food...people think it has to be bland and boring. If you use spices, you can make a humble piece of broccoli taste amazing, and that's what fresh kitchen did! The potatoes and cauli mash wa flavored well with garlic and salt, and the bbq chicken was really good. The almond chicken didn't have heavy seasoning, however it was still good and had a nice crunch! I should have gone back 1 more time before I left...but there are just so many good eateries in St. Petersburg! I ended up going to mullets the next day and had a great experience there too. I went with the number six, which is two proteins, two bases, two veggies, and one sauce. They allow you to have a sample taste of a protein you might be interested in, but they do not offer the option to taste and sample each sauce of interest. I wish they did. The proteins were missing a hot glazed or, frankly, any marinade heated tofu. You could get a cold tofu salad, though. I had the brown rice and the coconut ginger rice. You could taste the coconut, and while fine, it made the meal a bit of a challenge with the various flavors. The spicy rice had corn, so no go. My proteins were Citrus Chicken, which had a nice flavor, and the BBQ chicken. If they had a shrimp, I definitely would have selected that. Veggies were basil mushrooms, a winner, and lemon garlic broccoli. Both were good. The sauce base was sweet creamy something. I had it on the side and thankfully found it a perfect example of yuck. My significant other had the herb vinaigrette. She initially liked it, but again, with the mix she selected, it wasn't a fit. It would be cool if they offered fan favorite mixes, and folks can eye those. Or something to differentiate them from their top competitor. I had the dragonfruit lemonade. Perfect. The parking lot is horrible. People miss the entry, so they go in the same way you go out. Spaces are narrow in some areas. read more

Ordered Fresh Kitchen last night, and this was how my bowl was delivered to me. I'm in disbelief to be honest. When I used to think of FK I thought of good quality. That just isn't the case anymore. I work in hospitality so I let a lot of things slide. That being said, I also know there are certain standards that are expected and this cannot be acceptable. It looks like someone put the sauce cups in the bowl and shook it up so that they would be buried. This place is amazing! I will say their logo might have you thinking something else... but the food is about as fresh & natural as you can get at a "fast food" place. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate my current dietary needs. First, everything is gluten free (yay!) so I didn't even have to worry about that. But I'm eating one meal a day these days and have to get a certain allotment of protein + greens... and they made that easy. And the food was... DELICIOUS. Like freaking delicious. We took some family members there as well and we all loved the dishes we chose... and each one of us got something different. The interior is modern with fun signage that made it extra fun to eat there as it gave us fun things to read while we sat and chatted. I love the healthy concept of Fresh Kitchen. Dining here is very casual, reminds me of a conveyor belt line where each step of the way you get to choose your own ingredients (i.e. Chipotle). The interior design of the restaurant is really outdoorsy. The tables are lined with a grass design. It really feels like the food comes from farm to table! I thought that the almond chicken was basically a chicken tender. It was a little dry. The cauliflower rice was really delicious! I would love to have it as a base again next time. read more

This is a small food hall with Sweet Soul(Acai bowls, Better Byrd (chicken), Fresh Kitchen, and Taco Dirty. It's all about bowls here under the same owner Ciccio. I ordered a kiddie bowl which is one base - Cauli mash - one veggie - green beans - one protein - steak and picked two sauces - holy kale and balsamic vinaigrette. I liked everything about this bowl and I felt like it was simple and guilt free. I don't usually like their veggies - they can be hard or spicy and I never remember what sauces I like so I can refer here and recall the sauces I like. There's a good number of bowl options here so I am happy to go here with others so they can pick what they like, and not spend too much money so a lot more affordable. They have inside and outside seating on both sides and a good size parking lot. read more
