We had some unexpected trouble in Elko when our boat trailer lost a spindle and hub. Not exactly the kind of thing you want to deal with on the road! Thankfully we ended up at Gateway RV Center, and I couldn't be more grateful. Everyone there was so friendly and willing to help. A big shout out to Fay, who was absolutely amazing--she really went out of her way for us. And Jeff, the owner, deserves a lot of credit for running such a great place. I called Gateway asking if they could send a tech out to fix my leaking fresh water tank. I was told the scheduler is not in the office. Upon her return she would call me and schedule an appointment. Nobody called back. I called again and was told I had to drop the tank myself and bring it to their facility and then they will decide to repair or replace. Really!!! read more

On our trip our fridge in our brand new trailer quit working. We are from out of town and the service guys were able to get us in and out same day. Oscar was amazing, this guy needs a promotion! Totally lost my trust. Bought a used 2004 Mountaineer for over $8k. They'd said, they'd make sure everything is working and sealed. Roof leaks, there was no work done on the roof, seals are all cracked, tears in the rubber membrane, the fresh water drain cock is leaking, the dump tank pull handles are gone. They screwed us pretty well. When will I learn, not to trust RV dealers. I guess the fact they're the only RV dealership in town, they can get away with it. They had it for over two weeks knowing we were going to buy it. read more

My RV had a broken toilet water valve from freezing, when I got there, they were open early, had like 6 people there to help me, and had the part I needed...they replaced it in 10 minutes and I was back on the the road.. really impressed. read more

The parts dept. is just not very good at helping you out. I went in for a part and they told me they couldn't look it up. So i went to an rv parts place at my next stop in post falls Idaho and they looked the part up and i bought it. Either Gateway RV doesn't have the knowledge or resources to do the job, or they just don't want to do it if it takes any effort. read more

This RV business is, by far, much better than Sprads RV in Reno NV when it comes to customer service, speed and pricing!!!!! We took our RV to them after the headache service we received at the service department at Sprads for our forever warranty inspection. Gateway RV had our inspection completed in just a couple hours and worked with us as far as the delivery of repair items being sent to our house instead of making us tow our 5th wheel back to do a simple swap and install ( we live 4 hrs away from Gateway and Sprads) That's so much more than I can say for Sprads who argued with us last year about doing the same. I would, hands down, recommend taking the drive to Gateway Rv in Elko before I ever took it to Sprads!! It all takes hours instead of days and the friendly, efficient staff is a pleasure to be around!! read more

Sent an email a week ago requesting a service date. Received an auto reply that someone would get back to me ASAP. After no further response, I called the dealership on Thursday 07/05/18. Was told that no one was available in service as both their service techs were on vacation and would not be back until Monday. I was really impressed with the service during the sale two years ago and because of that, was willing to drive from Fallon to Elko to have my RV serviced, now I'm having second thoughts - no way to run a business! read more

Needed some hydraulic lines replaced when passing thru Elko. Called ahead and they were able to get us in quickly. There was one issue but they went out of their way to get replacement part immediately and resolve problem first thing the following day to get us back on the road. I pulled into Elko to gas up, and found I had lost both bearings on the left rear wheel of my tandem axle trailer. I left my trailer on the side of the road and went to Gateway RV for help. Simply stated; they were wonderful. They helped me find the right parts and even loaned me a couple tools to replace my hub and bearing assembly. Cody and Angie were particularly helpful. Zero stars. We had the worst experience that was made even worse by Gateway RV. Driving our 5th Wheel from UT to CA, we were outside Elko by 30+ minutes when we had a blowout and busted Bearing derail us. Called every shop in Elko to see if they had the everything we needed to replace and grease the Bearings ourselves on the side-of-the-road. Gateway RV assured us they had the correct items/sizes, etc. We had to drop our trailer (and all of our belongings) on the side of the road and drive 30+ minutes behind us to purchase the items. After triple checking the sizes and spending a lot of money, we returned to our abandoned 5th Wheel. After changing and greasing the Bearings we realized the Lug Nuts were indeed the WRONG SIZE. We called the shop, they refused to apologize and said they had the correct ones in shop (but refused to deliver them to us). We had to make another 1-hour round trip and in fact THEY DID NOT HAVE THE CORRECT SIZE. Would not refund us, apologize or try to rectify the matter in any way. We had to creep our way to the nearest town, stopping every-so-often to tighten the Lug Nuts that were the wrong size so the tire wouldn't just pop off. After 3-trips to the store, the repairs, we were on the side of the road for 12-hours! This place ruined our day and could have cost us our lives. The staff needs to get it together, lose their self-confidence and actually sell their customers the correct items before they get sued. read more

First off if I could give 0 stars I would. Since a new owner took over in January this business has been absolutely horrible. The old owner was fantastic and we have done a lot of business with him for years. Now there are only rude people that wait on you and you get ripped off. They charge you triple the price for anything that needs to be done, give you the wrong diagnosis for what is wrong so they can come back and charge you triple again for it being something else. They charge you twice for a diagnosis. A service fee is for the diagnosis of something. Then they charge you another diagnosis charge for the exact same thing. I will be warning everyone not to go there unless they have to because people don't want to give their hard earned money to someone who is rude and treats their customers like crap. When they don't appreciate your business then they don't need your business. Its a shame that a business that has operated for years and treated people fairly has gone straight downhill in only 6 months. read more

We were on a trip from California to Montana and experienced a problem with the water pump in our rv. We stopped in Elko, NV late in the day and called Gateway RV Center just after closing time. I explained the problem and said we were passing thru could they take a look at it in the morning. Although they were booked up they said to bring it in a 11 a.m. Upon arrival they could not have been more helpful and friendly. They fixed the problem in about a hour and were extremely reasonable. I would highly recommend them if you need rv service in the Elko area. read more

This is a terrible business. We stored our campers there for 5 days (paid an entire month's rental fee). They said they would take our campers out of the locked enclosure and have them parked on the street on Saturday so we could pick they up Sunday morning and continue on our long journey home. They failed to do this and did not answer the phones when we called. It turned into a huge hassle. We lost lots of valuable traveling time by the time someone finally showed up and unlocked the gates. The owner was extremely rude. I would never recommend them for anything!!! read more
