My family and I have enjoyed this mall during the handful of times we've been. It's indoors. There's a designated kids area for the little ones to play. There are several restaurants, local shops, a bowling alley, arcade, escape room and more. Our favorite stores here are; American Eagle, Windsor and Dillard's. The Laughing crab restaurant has a great seafood boil too. During the holidays, there are pictures with Santa. The prices aren't bad. Service and selection are great overall! read more

Always been a nice place to come and shop. I've been coming here off and on over the years for so long that I remember when it was the only mall in Lincoln. The second one of course being South Point which is an outdoor mall. I like that this has an easy one floor layout. A lot of variety here. There have been many improvements and changes over the years. I like having the Pretzel place, the game area, Dick's sports, and updated food court. They still have the Cookie Company too which is a local favorite. I definitely would recommend it. they also have Runza which is also a local fav that I too enjoy. It's a nice clean and modern place. Very comfortable and easy to see the whole thing, find a wide variety and even support some local places at the same time. I already know I'll be back again because it's a good place to shop. :) read more

Need to clean their bathrooms by the food court in men's side they smell awful and are very dirty. Love the rest of the mall but this is just disgusting I about puked the smell was that bad in the stall which the stalls here are separate with a lock door meaning you're not next to someone else and it still smells terrible before you even go to the bathroom. read more

I am a native of Washington DC. I came to visit Lincoln 5 years ago and just moved here last week. Although I do see some changes in the past 5 years I really like this mall! There are lots of stores here that we have on the east cost such as Rue 21 and Forever 21. We also have Panda Express and Charley's Philly Steaks back in DC. The cashiers in the stores at this mall are much more friendly than the ones in DC. I like the overall set up as well. It's much more spacious than the malls I am used to back in DC. This one is more spacious and spread out I love it! This will definitely be my go to spot for shopping while I live in Lincoln! read more

Your standard shopping mall, not too small, not too big. It's anchored by Younker's, JCPenney, Dillards and Sears. There's plenty of other stores, such as Aeropostle, The Buckle, The Cookie Factory, etc. etc. There's even an indoor skateboard arena. The restaurants are pretty dece, plenty of seating, a carousel and a shady music/store that looks like it sells CD's that were bought out of the back of some dude's car. Overall, a decent mall. There's also plenty of bus routes that stop right in front of it, so it's convenient to get to if you live far away and don't have a car. read more

Its a mall. Lincoln's largest but its not so big you will find everything you want or get lost. They have all the staple stores of a large mall like JC Penney, Yonkers, Dillards, Sears, and clothing stores like Express, Eddie Bauer, Limited, Vic Secrets, etc. As for food, there are a lot of options in and around Gateway mall. Granite City, Olive Garden, Tilted Kilt, Qdoba and Applebees are located around the outside of the mall. The food court has Amigos, Panda Express, Runza, Charlies Subs, Great Wraps, Hibachi San, and Subway. There is a GIANT carousel in the middle of the mall which is a lot of fun for kids, as well as a indoor play area for kids near Dillards/Yonkers entrances. Worth a visit if your in need of some shopping and they often have mall wide sales like Lemon Days or other promotions to get some good discounts. read more

Dear Gateway Mall, I have a bit of a bone to pick with you. I enjoy shopping at your establishment, but, the last time I paid a visit to this mall, I was met with a pleasant, and yet unpleasant experience. May I say, there have been some improvements to this mall, but some un-provements as well. Not only did I run into my ex-husband, Raul, which I understand you cannot stop this, but, I could not find a good store to get a gift for my sons for their first day of high school, they are seniors and distant learning is a terrible thing. I feel as if there are not enough stores with a manly essence to them, other than Dick's, and Timmy and Tommy already have enough athletic items, at the moment, considering they can't even play football this year. So, for my suggestion, try getting stores that I can find things for my sons. I do not want to go into a Hot Topic or Spencer's (I don't need to see those things in a mall, there are children), for anything remotely manly. I wish you guys would improve on that area. Thank you. Have you heard of Steve Carell? You guys should get him out here to give a motivational speech or something during these trying times. read more

Well, it's kind of hard to write a review when you are used to Orange Counties best, but this little mall is cute and has pretty much everything you need. There is a great play area for the kiddies and another "hidden" play area for toddlers/babies. If you have a little one under 3 check out the "family room" it's back by the restrooms. There is a play table, cartoons usually playing, changing tables, breast feeding booths AND... the family restroom has not only a normal size toilet but a toddler size just like it!! Unlike a lot of the "fashion" malls I'm used to in the OC, this one is REALLY and truly geared towards the families!! read more

This is a typical mall. I think every city needs one. I never expected it to be super specialized or super hip. It houses the regular stores and the regular food court options. One extra cool aspect: it has a pre-measured line/path that runs throughout the facility letting you know how many miles you have roamed. So if you're not into shopping, but need a place to walk indoors for free, this is it. I haven't done it yet, but it's on my to-try list. Overall, it is kept clean, has plenty of walking room to wonder about, and has stores the usual shopper would need. read more

This is a fairly typical indoor mall. These days they are sort of like indoor gyms for walkers. There are many stores here. Perhaps because this is one of the only malls in town. The food court has some decent selections. Overall, you can probably find what you are looking for in here and you probably won't be crowded out. read more

I'm very angry. I went to Scooter's to go get a mint chocolate chip shake there, and they said that they only accept cards, not cash. What kind of place ONLY ACCEPTS CARDS?? We were unable to quench out thirst for some coffee there because of this problem. I am super disappointed in the lack of customer service and the way things are ran. Scooter's at Gateway Mall should MOST DEFINITELY be replaced by StarBucks, because at least they ACCEPT CASH and they have my back. A decent mall that has nice department stores of Dillard's, Yonkers, JcPennys, and sears. They have a nice food court that has had nice upgrades and a good selection. As well as a good selection of restaurants located around the mall. There are many seating areas which were nice! This mall has a good selection of shops! Some extra cleaning could be done on restrooms!! There is plenty of parking. The mall does close early on Sundays and doesn't stay open that late on weekends and holidays. read more

I admit I didn't walk through the whole mall. But if I lived in Lincoln, I'd be there all the time because the mall developers were smart enough and kind enough to make their mall family friendly. I'm referring to the family lounge with a tv viewing area for older kids to sit and wait, several curtained rooms for breastfeeding each with a comfortable chair and table, microwave for heating up baby food/formula, multiple super-modern diaper changing stations, and a family toilet. The only people who would give this place more than two stars are those who have never been to an actual city with an actual mall. It's not very big, horrendously crowded, there are no unique stores, and I've never left without a head-ache. If you're in Lincoln, though, it's your only option for an indoor mall. read more

We used to go to this mall all the time, but now it's very rare. If you have a baby or very young kids it's great as there is a very nice nursing room/changing room/play room by the food court. But now that they got rid of the carousel and the animals you can ride on there is very little for older kids. My kids also loved the kids meals from Runza, but the only kid-friendly restaurant now is the pizza place, which has pizza, spaghetti or Mac n' cheese. No kids meals at the other places that we saw. When Round 1 opened we were excited to go there, which was probably the first time in over a year we had been to Gateway. You can see my other review for Round 1, but needless to say, it it NOT for kids. There are so many better places for kids in town with bowling, mini golf, video games, trampolines, etc, that Round 1 is not worth it. Now that the other major mall in town has a Ferris wheel and fun things to do in that store, there really is no reason to go to this mall anymore if you have kids. read more

Went Black Friday shopping in Lincoln this year and was shocked to find Southpointe nearly deserted and Gateway packed. See, I'm just old enough to remember Southpointe as the nice new mall and Gateway as the old shitty mall. Well, management has taken good care of Gateway and it appears to have stolen a bunch of stores from Southpointe. Good going Gateway! read more

Gateway Mall has undergone several changes and renovations lately. The outcome has brought quite a few improvements and new shops to a mall that previously appeared to be dying out. The food court is excellent. Lots of seating scattered throughout the mall. A good variety of department stores and specialty shops available. Large parking lots and a parking garage. The mall is clean and well maintained. Security officers are notably present. I do wish they were open until 10pm on Friday/Saturday nights & during Holiday shopping season. read more

Had a very bad experience at this mall. The mall employees are very unmotivated but probably for good reason. Minimum wage minimum growth in the company and probably minimum skills lol. But really how hard is it to acknowledge a customer, I mean if you need to be there for a couple of hours you might as well make the most of it. read more

This place is very unsafe for children to go to, especially alone. I personally had my wallet stolen from me by a clerk at one of the stores who claimed that a group of young unsupervised children had taken it and described these children to me and when he was confronted with the children his story changed to a different description. The security team had informed me that there is not a single camera in the entire mall, so it is impossible for the man to get punished. This is very concerning considering how many unsupervised children (most were younger than 12, and there had to be at least 20 of them running around without any adult supervision.) I (a 34 year old female) was able to go up to 5 different groups of kids that were younger than 12 and ask them about my wallet and there wasn't a single parent in sight to stop me. The security didn't see this as a big deal. They were running around at almost nine o'clock p.m..The security wouldn't even take my information in case anything came up about my wallet and advised me not to speak to the police and gave me all of two minutes of their time. I would not recommend going to the Gateway Mall alone or leaving your children there. read more

I really like the mall. I was surprised how updated and clean it was once inside. I had a great experience at Express-- the sales ladies were helpful but not too pushy. The same at Yonkers. Its a nice serviceable mall, why do people bash it for not being more? It is what it is, a decent mall with a good cross section of offerings and a good food court. Who needs to be told its not an "orange county" mall? Get over yourself. I'm glad Lincoln has it and it meets my needs pretty well. I give this mall one star solely based on the condition of the bathrooms. I went during December when people are busy Christmas shopping. The bathrooms were disgusting. The one outside of JCP had no paper towels, and both of the air drying machines were broke. Who checks these bathrooms?? Later I went to the one in Younkers on my way out. 2 of the toilets were to dirty to even use & plugged up. This is absolutely unacceptable. You expect people to spend money, yet you can't take care of the bathrooms. Next time I will go to Southpointe even if it's freezing cold. One exception was Applebees bathroom was clean. read more
