The kids are learning essential life skills in addition to the preschool curriculum. And the curriculum is impressive! They are learning science, geography, math, and language skills that feels beyond a preschool level, in my opinion, and my kids soaked up the information. My oldest is just starting public school in the Fall after two years at CK Montessori, and she is more than prepared to begin school. Staff are patient and loving guides for the kids. There aren't enough stars for this school's excellence!

I knew we had found exactly we had been looking for when we walked through the doors at Central Kitsap Montessori. Everything from the structure of the day, the challenge and purposefulness of the activities, the variety of resources at my little one's fingertips, the opportunity for independence in a safe and supportive environment to the warm and welcoming staff and the thoughtfulness of every detail of the space (indoors and out)....all our boxes were checked. Without a doubt, the time our daughter spent at CKM has been an absolute blessing and has laid a foundation for her lifelong love of learning! When she brings home her work from the week, her face lights up showing us each activity and she often comes home bursting at the seams to teach us what she has learned that day, which we absolutely love! They created a space where my little one could freely explore, create and learn in a way that was true to her heart! I will forever be grateful for her time there and for all the wonderful people involved!

My son is finally making friends because there are finally people who have a similar Christian faith and world view, whereas, he was getting bullied at our local public school. In an ideal world, I'd have school choice and not have to pay for my son's education and also pay into the public school system that has failed so many kids.... But this is what was needed for my son's education and well-being, and we're all very glad to have made the switch.

This was some time ago, maybe the school has improved, but let me telly you may experience. In good faith, I enrolled my son in a "Christian" school, hoping that he would have the experiences I had in Catholic school...strong academi, strong role models and kind but strict teachers. Nope. The kindergarten teacher my son was exposed to was most definitely not a follower of Christ. Christ taught to include rather than exclude. To be kind and accepting, not mean an judgmental. Melissa, I believe her name was. She was terrible. She bullied and belittled my child to the point where he would come home crying. She then threw him out of class saying he was not cutting it in kindergarten. SHE DID HIM A FAVOR. He went to a local school, Cougar Valley after that, where he had one of his best school experiences. Mrs. W was truly a kind, compassionate follower of Christ, unlike Melissa from King's West. Through her kindness and patience he survived kindergarten. Fast forward 10 years, John is now taking college-level classes as a Freshman in High School. No doubt, this is because he was removed from Kings West.
