She treated them like her own. She is kind, patient, loving and guides them towards appropriate behavior with the other children. Both of my kids learned their ABCs, numbers, colors, shapes and animals at a very young age. I had complete trust in Mrs. Beavers and her assistants. Before I found her, I used a different in-home daycare that didn't have the same caring attention or focus on learning that Mrs. Beavers creates in her daycare. We miss her a lot and are so grateful for the love and care she gave my children for so long. Finding the right child care provider can be a nerve-wracking process. I always felt so comfortable with Mrs. Beavers and highly recommend her daycare.

Love the diversity of the group of children and that the place is kept very clean. We're not a TV family so I'm personally not into the TV being on throughout the day, however I think other parents don't mind this; and I wish they experimented with more art. I do respect that this is an at-home daycare and it's a different experience than preschools. I trust Ms. Beavers and her daughter Dierdre with my baby, and I looked around for a long time before I found a place I trusted to leave my daughter at all day. Also the fact the daycare has remained open during COVID with a small group of kids has been an absolute lifesaver. I recommend Ms. Beaver's daycare in a heartbeat!

The school as a whole could have some improvements, specifically in regard to communication. For example, her classroom in Campus 2 had a roof leak when it was raining and they were catching the water with a bucket. No mention of this or steps to fix it was done with administration. Also, the school does not provide daily updates. Other schools utilize an app where teachers can provide pictures or updates to parents whereas this school utilizes the app to log check in/check out times and a picture once in a blue moon. We had to pull her out of the school promptly due to an accident that occurred in her class where a car accidentally accelerated and hit the wall of the class. Since my daughter was in the affected classroom and all kids were in the room during the incident, I would have expected a phone call. Instead a mass email was sent. I had to initiate a call for an update.

When he first started he did have to adjust -- I'm assuming it's because of how big the class is in comparison to his previous daycare. But it didn't take long for him to blossom, all thanks to Ms. Tonja & Ms. Lorraine's class! Then he moved to Mrs. Jennifer & Mrs. Cassie's class the following year, and he absolutely loved it. When we had to travel during my husband's paternity leave to visit my parents in Asia, he kept asking when we'd go back because he'd missed his friends and teachers. We clearly see the genuine love that's poured towards the kids not only from the teachers, but also the staffs. Not only they remember each of the kids' names, they also give hugs (and stickers, ha) on the daily basis. The principal is also very involved, which we appreciated. Would highly recommend anyone to put their kids at CPCC-- it's worth the wait and every penny. Can't wait for the baby brother to join in a couple of years!

It was very obvious that both of the directors really loved children and were passionate about what they do, as they should be. My son's preschool teachers were also super sweet and kind. The facility itself is very clean and very child friendly. They have safety measures put in place to ensure that the children are well cared for and protected. I always felt that my son was in good hands when he was there. The curriculum is advanced and really good to help children learn and progress in their Preschool skills. They do chapel every week, it was so adorable to see all the little children in their matching T-shirts walk together. We ended up taking our son out of the program because it wasn't a good fit for him. I don't believe that it was any fault of the teachers, just rather the class size being a little bit too big for him at the time. The ratio for the three-year-olds was 11 kids to one teacher, with his class size being comprised of 22 students and two teachers. Once we moved to a smaller class size, our son did so much better. For the price of tuition (only slightly less than the mortgage on our home), I do feel that the class size is a little bit big, there are many other programs out there that are a lot less expensive and class sizes are significantly smaller. The public school system is now offering free preschool education and transitional kindergarten to all eligible 3 and 4 year old children in Chino and Ontario. Overall, it's a great program and for many kids and parents, it will be a wonderful experience.

    Chino Family Daycare

    (17 reviews)

***Please read before sending your baby/toddler here****…read more I searched yelp for a reliable child care provider for my son. Chino family daycare/Bonni had 5 star reviews but, not recent. I decided to set up a meeting for a tour. When I first met Bonni I expected our meeting to open up with her describing the services she would offer our son and family. Unfortunately, that is not how the meeting panned out. One of the first topics was regarding the deposit that had to be paid before he would be considered as a candidate for her child care. Bonni requested that we bring our son in so she could make the determination if he would be a good fit for her childcare business. I was immediately alarmed by her lack of concern and lack of interaction with our son. She showed us the small room that is approximately a 10x20 make shift den that other parents described as "a kiddy prison." The kids are isolated to that room for 90% of the day with limited to no outside activities. She placed a kiddy gate separating the predominant kids area from the rest of her house. Babies can't even breathe. Bonni said that she had 3 dogs but that they did not have any contact with the kids because they are fenced off in the backyard. The dogs are medium/large breed dogs. However, I discovered one day when I arrived early, that the dogs were inside the house right next to kiddy gate that separates the kids from the living room. For parents that have children that are allergic to dog hair or that have a fear of dogs, Bonni's dogs bark at the kids when they are outside in the small outside play area and whenever parents drop off & pickup. The dogs are able to make physical contact with the kids if the kids are remotely close to the short fence outside. My son was terrified during our meeting because the dogs barked at him and scared him. I thought that this would be a good opportunity for our son to get used to dogs, since he hasn't had any exposure. I quickly learned that the dogs continued to bark. Bonni and her husband were always heard yelling at the dogs to stop barking. Ultimately, we decided to enroll our son out of desperation into Bonni's home. Despite all of the obvious red flags. Bonni asked us if we had been in touch with any of the local in-home daycares, she wanted us to know that she networks and knows all of the other in-home child day care providers. Bonni also stressed that there was no curriculum in her home. I asked her if she reads to the kids, her response was that "she has books." My experience with Bonni was her leaving the tv on all day and allowing the tv to entertain the kids. She would leave the kids unattended while she was doing other things in the home. I witnessed this on multiple occasions when I arrived earlier than expected to pick up my son. Bonni appeared frazzled and made a comment about me showing up early but it is listed in the contract that parents are able to show up at anytime to check on their kids without prior notice. Other occurrences include her adult son and daughter in law talking to her while they were outside and she was in the kitchen. The kids were in the room by themselves. She and her husband also look after their young grand daughter in the home during business hours. 1 day, I walked in and there was a male adult, which I assumed was her son and a female adult which I believe was her daughter in law, in the room with the kids along with their own baby. This room is very small and it leaves the kids very little room for their own space. The kids here are consistently sick with runny noses and coughs. My son got sick the first week he started. Bonni diagnosed my son with a croupy cough, but she is not a licensed medical professional. I was alarmed and took my son to the ER. Dr.told me he was fine. I made an apptment to follow up the next week and I informed Bonni. She said taking my son to the Dr. required a release note to go back to her daycare. She allowed sick kids to continue attending her daycare but asked us for a note cuz we took preventive measures by taking him to the Dr.. I have seen Bonni blame my son for being too big for her high chair. She tried to lift my son out of the high chair and his leg got stuck but she asked him "What are you doing!" She was blaming him! She has a very dry personality, always seems to be annoyed by having to take care of the children. I have witnessed Bonni being inpatient and mean to other toddlers. They are defenseless! Bonni constantly questioned me about if I worked that day. I finally told her she was being intrusive & not to ask me questions that didn't pertain to her caring for our son. She spoke to me like she was scolding me. Unprofessional. look at the dates of her recent reviews, the positive reviews immediately follow the negative. Do not trust.

My schedule had me start at 12 and my fiancé was off at 2:30. I took her on my days off just to get her used to it. On her second day, I brought her in at 10, on my day off, and her husband saw me and said, "You're late." Exactly, what am I late for? This isn't a school and I'm paying for her to be here full time and when technically she's only there till about 3 pm. My daughter was excited to play with other kids. It's a small room with the tv on and box of toys in the middle of the room. I got a total of 2-3 pictures the entire 2 weeks she was there. The first 3 days were fine, my daughter was excited to go. It was the 4th day, when my fiancé picked her up and told me Bonnie weighed my daughter. I asked him why and he said he didn't know. He said the day prior, she asked how my our daughter weighed because she picked her up and she was heavy and my fiancé said he didn't know and that the next day when he picked her up, Bonni said she weighed her and she weighed double than the other kids. Bonni to this day had never discussed this with me and I think that is very telling since I drop her off every morning. She had no business and no right weighing her. My daughter is visibly chunky. It's visible she is bigger than the other kids. She decided to weigh my daughter and the big pay off was now she knew she weighed double?? Come on... My daughter is too young to realize she was being fat shamed and her feelings weren't hurt but mine were. And every time we picked her up, it was always something negative. She made me feel like my daughter was the worst child she's ever seen in her "25 years of experience" and telling us she "hates the word no", what toddler doesn't hate the word no? Thursday, May 26th, I noticed that once we walked into the backyard, my daughter did not want to go inside. I blew it off that she wanted to play outside and left her there. That same day, I realized I had a cold and wore a mask. Bonni told me I probably got it from them because of one the kids were sick. A kid that I had seen there. I sent my money 27th with a two week notice per her contract. Then, may 31st, I went to take her. She was fine all the way until Bonnie opened the door to greet us and my daughter screamed and ran past us to the gate to leave. She was pulling on my arm to leave. I had never seen her like that. This wasn't normal, this was fear. I decided to take her home. This was the final straw for me on top of her also eventually catching the same cold that weekend. Which also in the contract mentions to not bring your kids in sick. So I posted in a chino fb group looking for recommendations for other child care arrangements because I was unhappy with my current one and explained why. Someone commented and asked who I was talking about. I did not name Bonni or her business and stated I didn't feel safe giving that info out until my daughter was out. I still paid and my daughter didn't go from the May 31st- June 9th. My daughter was still sick and her last day was the 17th. June 9th, Bonni texted and asked what day her last day would be. I didn't text back because I was working. Bonnie texted again and asked if I would like to make her last day the 10th and she would refund my deposit. I apologized for not texting back and said yes since she was still sick. Bonni sent the money and after I confirmed I received it she proceeded to send me a screenshot of that comment from the post. She said, "Please don't bash me on Facebook, it's not very nice." "I didn't appreciate seeing that last night." So not "don't make lies about me" "don't make up stuff", she's asking me not to share my honest experience but at the same time, I never named her when I had every right to. I'm so glad my daughter is out of there. Bonni was my first experience with daycare and I didn't know better. She is not professional. I made other arrangements with another local child care worker for a few days and the difference was night and day. I saw the difference how my child was when she felt safe vs when she was with Bonni. I will never recommend Bonni. And I feel bad for the parents of the children she has there currently. It's not a child care worker who cares for your kids and cares about them, kind of service. It's an authoritarian watching kids who can't speak for themselves, kind of service. Here is the last conversation we had since we're sharing screenshots.

A lot of daycares have small, musty grounds that seem uncomfortable for children to be cooped up in all day, but the Montessori Academy of Chino has HUGE, open, sunny classrooms with plenty of space for the kids. The entrance is secure and the sign in/out process is easy on their device (no annoying sheets to sign every day). Their outside area is gated and faces away from the street, so it also feels very safe. Secondly, the staff are attentive. Outside of the classroom, on the rare occasion I've had an issue, the director or owner have communicated quickly and directly. Inside the classroom, the teachers are nice and seem like they enjoy their job. They have plenty of fun activities for the kids and are wonderful about having special events! There is occasional turnover, but that is to be expected with any early education center. The main teachers have stayed consistent which is great for the kids. Overall, our family simply loves this school. I can't thank them enough for all they do!
