From the moment my son was born I had thought of the future that was to come for my growing family. In that, I knew I wouldn't have the support from loved ones in regards to childcare/babysitting (since everyone I know works). So I searched and searched and visited daycares. All of them either too pricy or sketchy, or just felt like a business. Not at all what you get at Gateway. The first moment I visited the site, I was greeted by Miss Stella, very assuring that my child would be safe in their care, she asked if I was looking for someone or looking for enrollment. I could feel the mother lion in her demeanor! I know my child would be in a very safe space, and a safe place it very much was. I could see how the staff, teachers and director would greet my son, and myself include after the first visit. The price here cannot be beat, and with that said, you can never put a price on the type of love and care they provide the children at Gateway Academy. Ms V and Ms O are my sons teachers at 1 yr old now, and I could never think of changing to another day care based on how I see they treat and teach my son here. It is a beautiful place for children to grow and assimilate into a social learning environment. Thank you Miss Stella for making a daycare feel like a second home for my son. I cannot recommend this place enough, if you have a newborn coming or currently looking for your toddler, look no further if you live in the area (or 30min away) because this is it. read more

I toured many daycares in the area and Im so grateful I found Gateway Academy. My daughter has been going since she was 2 and is now 5 and will continue attending for after-school care. My infant son (4 months) will be attending as well. Gateway has a great curriculum and they do so many fun activities. They provide lunch 3 times a week if you opt into that option. Your child will recieve homework in preschool and now my daughter is more than prepared for kindergarten. I wish I could shout out every teacher there bc they have all been there for my daughter in one way or another. She is always excited to tell me about her day. I always feel like the main concern is my daughter's safety. I know how hard it is to leave your baby in someone else's care and I truly recommend Gateway for that reason. The staff is extremely responsive especially when incidents occur, Im always in the loop with my child's behavior while she is there. Can't thank Ms Stella and Mr Robert enough for always been there for me with all my "silly" questions or concerns :) They offer summer care and after-school care as well which is extremely helpful for me as a full-time working mom. There are no cameras but you will be constantly updated with messages, videos and photos on the app the daycare uses. I highly recommend Gateway Academy if you're looking for a trustworthy, loving, and professional daycare. My son attended for two years and I'm so happy to have found a school where the teachers and director Ms. Stella genuinely care about the children. His teachers helped my son grow academically and socially through fun learning activities, crafts, and plenty of outdoor play in their large playground. I'm going to SHINE the LIGHT for GATEWAY ACADEMY. its hands down the best place you could ever take your kids. I've toured every daycare out there to find the perfect one . Nothing beats this place . I literally drive 25 min everyday just to send my babies here. The owner Robert is incredible, humble man. He puts so much money back into this daycare just for the kids happiness. The director Stella is amazing, she's very CLEAN and ORGANIZED . She has all the teachers on board with what the expectations are . They have a strict no Gossip rule amongst each other , which Allows all teachers to have amazing VIBES. My kids love it here. The summer camp is blast . This place feels like a second home to my kids, they love spending their days here. I gotta say, after stumbling across this day care academy, I truly believe God led me here. And I have to give them their flowers because they are well deserving! If you LOVE your child do not hesitate to bring them here. The investment is worth every penny. As a nurse I work ALOT. They probably see my family members more than me. And it was so vital for me to find a place for my little girl where she is happy and feels safe. Ive been to a few daycares where my girl was tolerant but she wasn't necessarily contempt. Ive been to places where she said mom , I absolutely don't want to go back there I don't like it. I immediately pulled her out and came across Gateway. Stella and Robert have taken my little girl in as their own and treat her so well. Denise and the other teachers impact her day to the point where every time we go to a store she asks to buy all of them presents. My daughters happiness and well being is my most important purpose in life and they flourish that while I cant. They make sure she eats, they keep her safe and always keep me updated at all times of how shes doing and when hardships hit they are so understanding and flexible and work with all their parents. I love this school, friendly stuff, lots of activities and learning. my oldest daughter didn't get a chance to go in person to kindergarten last year due to covid. So, I decided to enroll her in summer camp and wow ... she loves it. She wants to go even on the weekends if that was possible! My second daughter she is 3 years never went to a daycare before, so it was hard for her to be without me for about 2 weeks, but the teachers did a great job in helping her to adjust. So, now after a month she is doing great !! My baby girl has been going to Gateway for about a year and a half and there is never a day that she does not want to go. She loves her school, her friends and her teachers. Knowing she's happy and excited to go makes it easier to leave her while I go to work everyday. So I went back to work after being a stay at home mom for 3 years, I immediately thought of this daycare because my siblings went here years ago and it was incredible (great staff, clean, kids learned new things and had fun). The prices were incredibly lower than other daycares in the area (red flag I should've noticed) but I didn't think anything of it because, to be honest, I wasn't considering other spots very seriously with the history we had with this facility. My kids were only there for two weeks and let me tell you why.. 1. 80% of the employees are rude and my daughter told me that her teacher wasn't nice. Nobody seemed to be paying much attention to the kids most of the time (in my daughters class-4 year old) and in my sons class, I overheard a teacher telling a parent how horrible their child was every day and how he was "always being bad" with so much disrespect in her voice. I have no idea how that child behaves but I sure as hell know it's inappropriate to be saying those things not only in front of other parents, but in front of the kid. Not to mention her tone of voice sounded like she actually hated the child which is probably why she was having issues with him listening if she had that same attitude when talking to the child. 2. I walked in to pick up my kids one day and the director told me that "the teachers were concerned because all they had in their lunch was a bagel and cream cheese" I was shocked. I knew for sure I packed a full lunch with extra snacks for both of my kids and literally couldn't fathom how all of those items could disappear from not one, but both of my Childrens lunches. So I was lectured about nutrition whilst telling the director that I was 100% sure they had more than a bagel in their lunch. This is when she told me she gave my kids "frozen chicken nuggets warmed up" since they had "nothing" in their lunch... and "oh yeah we did that yesterday too". I was LIVID. I never got a call about this and would've said hell fucking no to this plan. I don't feed my kids that kind of shit. My daughter struggles with chronic constipation and my son has a heart condition and they do not eat processed foods like this. I was so mad. I went into their classrooms and found that their lunches BOTH had these items in their bags: bagel & cream cheese, mandarin oranges, an applesauce pouch, raisins, carrots, and a chocolate rice cake. ALL UNTOUCHED. So they decided that FROZEN CHICKEN NUGGETS were necessary because "all they had" was nutritious options in their lunch???? When I went back over to the directors office, she said "usually parents send something to be warmed up or like a sandwich with meat or peanut butter so that's probably why they were confused" so you mean to tell me, you not only didn't physically check yourself that they had "no lunch" but also chose to give my kids actual shit for lunch because I didn't have something hot or a fucking sandwich in there?! I then went on to explain that my kids don't eat "the average American diet" and she literally ignored everything I said and repeated the comment about "something hot or peanut butter" 3. My daughter started making inappropriate comments about a "pickle" and when asked what she was talking about, she told me that another girl had told her that she "saw her daddy's pickle and it's big and he swings it back and forth"... Yep. So when I asked her what else this little girl said to her, she had a TON of other inappropriate things to share with me INCLUDING that she told her to shake her booty and "pretend there is a guy standing behind her". She also told me a little boy watched her go potty. So. Yeah. Two weeks and my kid's innocence has already diminished some. This tells me the teachers were not paying enough attention to the kids. 4. My 2 year old son came home with a black eye one day and nobody could explain it. Then the following day (after I had brought this injury up) I got a call saying he fell and hurt himself and I'd have an incident report to sign when I picked him up. No injuries that day.. weird, right? 5. The daycare isn't very clean and I can't tell you one thing my kids learned while they were there. Long story short, I quit my job and am homeschooling my kids. but seriously, DONT send your kids here. The management changed since it was the wonderful place is was many years ago and I am terrified to think what could've happened if I left my kids there longer. read more

I know this school is amazing when my son is excited to go every morning and leave with a big smile on his face. I'm impressed with the classrooms, the events, and how smart my kid is! He wants to only drink water and eat healthy every day. There is something always exciting happening to get him out of bed. read more

My daughter is in her second year at Gateway Academy and she loves it. All of the teachers/staff members are wonderful. Ms. Arron and Ms. Sindy are the two that primarily takes care of my little one and makes sure to keep me updated with everything that goes on in class/ everything pertinent to my daughter. They are friendly, attentive and definitely has my daughters' best interest at heart. I ask my daughter how her teachers treat her and she always smiles and says she loves them. That's exactly what I want to hear, and I do. Ms. Monique is really funny and has a great personality. Whenever I have a question for her about payment, she gets back to me in a more than timely manner. It's not the school itself that makes this place great, it's the staff. They combine the older and younger kids together, which makes them pay less attention to especially the younger kids. I really love this school. Let me start by saying I enrolled my son a little late into the Pre-K class, but Mrs Nicole (Director) was able to work with me and help me get him started here. Mrs Stella and Mrs Kerry (Teachers) are great with him. He has learned so much since he started attending here. Mrs Monique and all the staff are very friendly, they all know my sons name, and it feels like a second home. This school is very clean, affordable, and safe. I would certainly recommend this school. All I have to say about this place is friendly staff, and helpful towards your childern, however if you are short on your payments look out because they will not watch your kids until all the fees are paid even if you are a little behind and tell them when you can pay them. so if you are always on time with your payments and never behind once then there your best friend again if you are late just a tad they will not work with u at all. read more

The toddlers were mixed with the babies because not enough babies were there, there were 2 teachers but one seemed to be occupied with just one baby. Also no smile or acknowledgment from teachers. I love Gateway Academy. My son has been there since September of 2010 and I find their educational philosophy exceptional. My son has homework and is held to a very high standard. They are also one of the least expensive schools in the area so much so that we drive to Chino from Eastvale everyday. Very unprofessional staff. We left Gateway. Just one example: my daughter was bitten by a boy there and when she reported it to the teacher, she was told, "I've had enough of you, ____, you're just too much drama. Nothing was done about the incident. My other toddler daughter's shoes were always untied by the end of the day. Once, when i couldn't pick them up in time and neither could anyone on the emergency card, I called and they wouldn't let someone else pick them up. Gateway academy has been an excellent preschool to prepare my kids for elementary school. I also have to disagree with Brian. Ms. Nancy is the most understanding person and truly cares about my son. I was late a week (thought my husband made the payment) and she didnt even hound me for it and wouldn't even let me pay the late fee because it was a simple mistake. Called to inquire but the first thing Monique asks me is "Are you interested only in our daycare?".. and said something along the lines of "If you're only interested in our daycare.. Blablablah... You can call me next week....." I got so confused... I didn't understand the point of asking me that about three times in the 2 minutes we spoke. I get the point that enrollment is currently only open for the families that you're already serving, but enrollment will open for new families next week. I get that. But why make the parent feel like you can only help them if they're only interested in your daycare? And how would I know the answer to that when they don't even have a working website or a legitimate Facebook page so I can browse around and get a feel of their school. She even mentioned "I don't know if you wanna shop around first...." What the heck! I will then... With such unwelcoming first conversation, I immediately lost interest in this place. read more

I have a very spirited 2 and a half year old son and he is all boy, as the teacher stated "I am not a custom of dealing with so many boys in my class". The school is understaffed and unable to deal with any situation that arises. When I would go and observe I noticed that there appeared to be 1 teacher per 14 to 16 children at times. They would single out my son in saying that he would disrupt the class and that the other 2 year olds would follow him. I was asked from the director to kindly remove my son from the class. When the teachers asked me to come in and observe my son because he walked out of the door once and they were afraid that he was going to walk out the front door, and during my observation I noticed a couple of safety concerns one of which periodically there is no staff sitting in the receptionist part of the front desk to stop any child from walking out the front door. I also noticed that there is no safety latches on those doors to prevent the children from walking out. I noticed one door that had a latch that was not functioning correctly, and the gate in the parking lot had no latch whatsoever on it. read more

My 5 year old son attends the before and after school program. I really like the convenience that they are able to transport my son to and from school. They also help him do his homework. My son likes all of the teachers at Gateway. Everyone is very nice. I also like how they communicate with me on how my son is doing. My daughter has been attending Gateway since the Fall. She attends one of the local elementary schools and gets dropped off in the morning and then taken to school and picked up. She loves going. They do a lot of activities with the kids after school and they help with homework which is a blessing. They put on a holiday show for families and always have crafts for the holidays. I think art is important. She gets really upset when I pick her up "early". She loves all her teachers. I would definitely recommend as the price is right and again, the staff really cares for the comfortable. read more

I have actually had the opposite experience with gateway as Brian. My son has attended since June of 2010 and I have recently been going through some financial hardships. I had asked to speak to the director about possibly recommending some place less expensive with the same standards that Gateway had. Right away Ms. Nancy (the director) had told me to not worry about it, she is the most sympathetic person and understood my situation. She let me pay 2 weeks late and we worked out a different schedule for my son to still attend gateway on a lower rate. And guess what... she did it all with a smile on her face, not like a grumpy business owner just trying to get my money, she was there to help. read more

My son is SO prepared for Kindergarten. Time has sure flown by. They have done so well in teaching my son all sorts of things that I don't remember learning until 1st or second grade.
