This company practiced deceptive sales with my family. When we purchased a comprehensive whole…read morehouse system with door and window alarms, we also pre-paid for a year of alarm monitoring. We then decided to turn off the monitoring and advised the company of such twice via telephone. After still receiving invoices from Tasco, I returned a written request to decease the monitoring and related billing. In return, I received a certified letter warning of legal action if I did not maintain their monitoring for 5 years. The company representative directs me to the back of an otherwise short agreement letter that references a purchase contract for 5 years. No where on the front of this contract is a 5 year term mentioned. All other aspects of the services contract are clearly geared to the details of purchase of the system and of a pre-paid annual service contract. The lack of mention on the front pages of the agreement, referring to any obligation thereafter is clearly obvious. Consider another alarm company - or at least ask pointed questions with regard to commitment time with regard to their monitoring.

I called Fortified and was promptly greeted over the phone and given a price for the lockout service, and he said he would be at my location in about 30-40 minutes. Exactly 30 minutes later, Chad came to my rescue and was able to open my car in a matter of seconds! He was so friendly and professional, and the price he gave me on the phone was exactly what he charged me, didn't try to upcharge me last minute like some other places do. They also take credit/debit cards in addition to cash, which is a lifesaver because it's hard to find cash in unexpected situations like this. I would highly recommend Chad and his Fortified team to everyone!

Since we weren't going to be there very often we wanted a 'smart' monitoring system that would cover all the bases - thermostat, fire/smoke, security and floods. I had no idea where to begin - didn't even know the right questions to ask. But luckily I found Jesse and the great folks at Vermont Security. Within 20 minutes of our first phone call Jesse guided me to exactly what we needed, worked with me on pricing, and had a technician come out and install everything a few days later. Everything is working perfectly in the unit, and we have the ability to monitor and control all systems through the easy-to-use alarm.com app. Mostly, we have peace of mind. I highly recommend Vermont Security and very glad we found them.
