I was surprised to see them working on half the pumps yesterday~ this gas station seems to new to need that much work, but they are up to something! Because of the pumps being out- it makes it a little more interesting to get gas here- for the time being. I was able to pull right into a pump, but others were waiting for spots to free up to pull in. Prices here are a little higher than other stations around Jax- but I swear where, if it's near the interstate- it's hiked a few pennies! And this location is off 295. As far as grabbing gas- pumps are fast, it's painless to pump here! When they wrap up the construction it will be back to 4 star gas!!!

It's certainly cheaper than gas at River City Marketplace. The parking lot is in poor condition. The store is dirty. You'll likely see a few sketchy-looking individuals hanging around. This is definitely not a store I'm going to frequent if I'm in the need of drinks and/or snacks. I will, however, continue to stop here to get gas when I'm in the area and it's daylight. I wouldn't stop here at night (not even with my husband). There are only a couple of pumps, but the place is never busy, so you shouldn't have a problem getting to one of them. More often than not, the credit card things aren't working on the pumps, so you'll have to go inside to pay.

With any convenient store/gas station you will always have the people who are either begging for your money, or begging for your attention. It's just up to you rather you entertain it or not. I don't mind giving some times or engaging in a friendly hello, but I do for myself not making eye contact too often in certain environments. I like the convenience the most. It sits right on Atlantic and century 21 and either way you go the neighborhood can become shaky, so just keep your eyes wide open and be aware of your surroundings. Even though I have a high number of check-ins here, it still doesn't even begin to reflect how much I actually stop at this store because half the time I forget to check-in because the stop is so quick. Gas is as cheap as it's going to get in this area of town. There are plenty of pumps and enough space between the pumps that you're night right on top of another car. I've never had a problem with any of the pumps working properly. The store is always clean, as are the restrooms. Tons of snacks can be found here in this large store and everything is always well-stocked. The cashiers are nice and friendly. Buy one of their 64oz plastic "jugs" (it's either 5 or 6 bucks and comes with a fountain drink) and then you can come in whenever you like and fill it up for a buck. You don't even have to have one of the Gate "jugs" ... you can have one for Hess, 7-11, etc... they'll still let you fill it up for a buck. They have an air pump and it's free. Very convenient when hopping off and on I-295.
