We expect the ownership of properties adjacent to us to change in the near future, and we determined that it was critical to know where the boundaries are. Hawthorne Land Surveying Services put these questions to bed. Chad was always professional, personable, respectful and easy to work with. After discussing the workscope of the project, he required very little direction for moving forward. His prices were very reasonable. Chad was always prompt in his communications. He informed us when he would visit or if he needed to reschedule. He kept us up to date on the progress of the project and was amenable to changing the workscope as needed. Chad would readily answer any questions. He explained basic surveying information to us patiently and in detail (it was admittedly a surprising pleasure to learn and appreciate a part of the world that always been there in front of us, but that we did not see or understand). We also appreciated his honesty. If he definitively knew the answer to a question, he stated it. If there was ambiguity, he laid out the options. Perhaps above all else, I felt like he took the time for us to understand and appreciate what we were paying for and what the other options were. He was clearly looking out for our best interest. In our final meeting, he walked the entire property with us and made sure we understood where the stakes were (lots of thickets in the wetlands) and how they were notated. We highly recommend Hawthorne and will use him again if we ever need those services.

If it wasn't for Chads plans he provided us and the different options we were allowed to offer the city, we would have been paying thousands of more dollars!! He's very personable, respectful, and most of trustworthy he's looking out for your best interest! He went above and beyond our expectations with our Land Survey Plans for a process that me and my wife took us 7 months to solve. He's an awesome guy and his prices are very reasonable in the industry and worth the extra wait if needed! He's also very prompt and need very little direction, he's a professional. We will use him again for sure on our the next house we are buying and tell all our friends!

We were told that the cost would be $500-$600. We requested completion for a specific date. This company required multiple calls and follow ups, only to find out that they hadn't started drafting the plan the week it was due. We then received a bill for DOUBLE the cost of what we were told. I am extremely disappointed and do not recommend them.

After providing Meridian with a required $1000.00 deposit in June, there was no communication about when the project would begin. I finally called their office in July to request a start date. Finally, the surveyor showed up and placed stakes, but I waited over a month again, with no communication about the survey report. I had to call Meridian again to ask for a report, but instead I received a bill, and I was told that if I wanted a written report of the survey findings , I would have to pay an additional fee. I am very disappointed that Meridian never explained that. After all, placing removable stakes on my property is of no value to me, as the stakes can be easily removed. I wanted my property surveyed to obtain a written plot plan that illustrates the boundary plans. I will never use Meridian again. I am very disappointed in the lack of professionalism and poor communication with my land surveying project from beginning to end.

I was surprised to see where the actual lot lines were - in comparison to the very general mortgage map that came with the house. Also, In comparison to other surveyors the prices were extremely fair. However, it's John Abagis's strong work ethic and dedicated customer service that really sets this company apart. My property needed quite a bit of research done, which John did with a fine tooth comb. His work is meticulous -- and regardless that the work entailed much more time and effort than anticipated -- he stuck to his original price estimate. He has done two jobs for me. He was easy to reach, able to provide me the date availability I needed - and has been kind enough to answer numerous questions I've had since the work was completed. -- I could not recommend Abagis Associates more highly.

CUSTOMERS MUST AVOID THIS PROVIDER…read more This provider is unprofessional to the extreme, not to mention unethical. The provider did not deliver to the stated contract and invoiced prior to accepted completion of deliverables, essentially holding hostage the work with nothing to show for it. Yet, full payment is demanded. The provider will change his own contract terms but will try to hold you to the "t" and even leverage formatting errors he made as a reason the contracted deliverable is not required for payment. Further, he was highly unprofessional in communications and beyond argumentative, he was obnoxiously aggressive to the point that my wife feels unsafe in our home. (I am considering a restraining order against Paul Campbell). The guy obviously hates his job and hates his customers more. Finally, his "two man robotic survey crew" appears to involve an underage worker who somehow gets billed the same as an experienced surveyor. At the end of over a month of waiting for him to begin with more than one follow up (April 20 to May 24) and 60+ days of waiting for results after that, I have nothing whatever to show but him threatening legal action because I refuse to pay for lack of deliverable work. The guy doesn't deserve your business.
