I was a little confused at first but soon realized that you actually go inside to place your order and then they bring the food out to you. I ordered a glass of white wine and the shrimp salad. The wine was delicious and perfectly complimented the salad. The salad was good. It was a little small so I wish I had ordered something else because it didn't satisfy my hunger but it was super tasty! I loved the gorgeous views provided on the patio. Everything was just so nice. The staff were great. I will definitely come back next time I'm in Trier!

The beer selection is strong and the ambience great, despite an unimpressive street entrance. You will not be disappointed.

The schnitzel, while served as two pieces versus one giant piece, was decently (but not perfectly) executed. Crispy, somewhat tender meat (could have been more tender) and a very flavorful sauce with fresh mushrooms. The spätzle was soft and buttery. Almost melted in my mouth. Can't go wrong with a nice Pilsner to wash it all down.

We stopped by at opening (18H) and asked if we could make a reservation for a bit later as we wanted to explore the city a bit more.
