The room was cozy, clean and the perfect size. Bernhard, the owner, was very nice helpful. They have a wine cellar on the property at which we did some wine tasting. Bernhard made us eggs in the morning plus we had other things in buffet style available for breakfast: deli meses, müesli and yoghurt, breads and jellies (home mad by his mother) coffee, juice. I would highly recommend this place for your stay away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

It is specifically prepared Bavarian style where the cheese is baked in a wooden oven giving it a warm and soft taste making your taste buds go wild. Portions were large, and I had to take home some. It was great that they had to go boxes. Nice variety of beers. And the view from the Terrace was spectacular, with a nice breeze. The restaurant also has a nice selection of cakes and desserts. There was a small parking lot in front of the restaurant and even smaller behind the restaurant. After eating, it's nice to walk up to the Burg. I would definitely recommend this to anyone if you're in the area of Essing.
