I saw the sign for Hickory Flat and thought we'd need to keep driving. I was thrilled to see Exxon listed on the last exit sign. The restroom was first on my list and it was very clean. Yay! When I first walked into the truck stop, I noticed there were a lot of people having breakfast or just coffee and hanging out with their retired friends. Assuming this is the only place in town. As always, I walked up and down the few aisles to see if there was anything I couldn't live without. I found my husband staring at the hot food display. So glad he was. They had what appeared to be blueberry biscuits. Just like Bojangles used to have. There are still Bojangles restaurants but not in our area. We bought one for each of us and after the first bite I knew that was a good call. If I'd have bought more, we would have polished off as many as there were. Good grief they were gooooood!
