I know this review is a little late in getting written, but last summer we went to Gary's Flooring looking for new flooring for our new home. (New to Us) We were met by Ben E. who was extremely helpful and patient in helping us pick out new flooring. After our purchase the flooring was installed by Cody and Chase. They did an outstanding job installing the flooring and new baseboard trim. They kept everything clean as they went and carefully moved furniture as needed. Chase and Cody treated our home as if it was their own and when the install was complete, they clean all the floors and helped place furniture back where we wanted it which took a couple of times. This review is a long time coming but better late than never. I only take the time to write a review if the service is either a 10/10 or a zero/10 and I can enthusiastically report this company is 10! So my dream was big and this was a fairly large job and i am extremely detail oriented and can be hard to please. We bought our Lake Placid home 20 years ago and always dreamed of opening up the kitchen so the lake view was the first thing you noticed upon entering the house. This involved removing a pantry wall that blocked the view as well as lifting the kitchen ceiling by moving the AC vents to the attic. I wanted the kitchen to look high end but also maintain a comfortable lake house vibe. My dreams were fully realized and i can honestly say the results even exceeded my (high) expectations. John at the store was patient, did everything possible to take my many different ideas, pictures and hopes and help us create our dream home. Gary's Flooring employs men of the highest quality. I truly felt John was as eager to help create my dream home as fully as i was. The entire crew was professional and kept to their word. They came when they said they would be there. They kept us fully informed of setbacks or delays. I am quite sure i drove them all a bit mad with my last minute ideas and changes, but they always came through with the highest results. We stopped into Gary's Flooring and was greeted by John D, He was helpful, friendly and very knowledgeable regarding the products they have in the store. We had two bedrooms changed from carpet to our choice Mohawk RevWood Plus. John came out to the house to measure and give the bid. The price was less than we expected, always nice to have good surprises. The product came in sooner than expected. the installers Rarael Rivera and his brother Rodolfo Rivera are pros. They came on the times they set, courteous, knowledgeable. What was more appreciated was the attention to detail, finish work and cleanup. While I can't write them off completely I would hesitate to recommend them to someone else. The bathroom shower tile job that we contracted them to install was not done to manufacturers recommended procedures which in case of something going bad will not be remedied by the manufacturer. They only give a one year warranty on their job and if something goes wrong down the road you will be responsible. The worker was courteous and dependable but doing as he is told. Price was a bit high but I wouldn't have minded if not for installation procedures. read more

David, Mike and Joe were at our home for 3 days. They spent quite a bit of time leveling our floor in order for the flooring to be installed correctly. We appreciated that since there are some installers that would have ignored that flaw and installed the flooring anyway. They were very neat and cleaned up at the end of each day. BUYERS BEWARE....If you are looking to get new flooring in your home, I would steer clear of Gary's Wholesale Flooring since new owner Larry has taken over. Had flooring installed in 2018, and this January noticed some issues with warping and gaps in floor. The flooring is still under warranty, and MetroFlor (distributor) gave Larry a credit for the material in June after I contacted MetroFlor and had a rep come out. Larry claims he filed a claim, but they were never able to find it. He told me he would replace the flooring, but I was doing a remodel and wanted all the flooring to match and was willing to pay for the additional flooring and install that was not covered, and he told me he would give me a "great deal". When he gave me the estimate for my part, it was not broke down, just a flat price. When I asked for the breakdown by sq ft, I became suspicious because the sq ft he was charging was more than the floor plan of my total house. I had another installer come and measure, and I also contacted MetroFlor for the exact amount of sq ft that we originally paid for and found a substantial difference in the sq ft that he wanted me to pay for. Larry will not give the refund to me that MetroFlor gave him. Please be careful and think twice before you use them for anything. Larry took over the business a year or so ago, so if you have done previous business with Gary's, it is a new owner! read more

Garys had the best selection of flooring, were very knowledgeable and friendly. The prices were equal to other businesses around the area. Ramondo has installed at least two other floorings for us and does an excellent job. His work ethics and knowledge are well above others. read more

They have a nice selection, but unless you are having an entire house done, they don't have a whole lot of interest in your business. I was only buying around $1,000 worth of product and the salesman repeatedly encouraged us to go to Lowe's, even though I had exactly what I wanted on the table and ready to order. I was promised a quote by the next business day and after two full business days had not heard from them. I've never had so much trouble trying to hand a business money. read more

To get you house serviced during a pandemic and come out of it happy about what you received is great. Kyle came our and measured the floors and was courteous and professional. Jeff installed our floors (two) with his helper and both men were courteous and completed their work in a timely manner.
