The sales process was very good but communications with the store owner after that were very poor. She is very sarcastic and difficult to deal with. The contractor told us that he has heard her talk that way with other customers. We noticed our shower drain filter was tarnished in a corner approximately six months after it was installed. When we contacted the store owner about this she said that we need to hire a cleaning company to better clean our bathroom! We contacted the manufacture who immediately sent us the $10 part but we could not remove the old one as it was apparently not installed correctly. Again, she took no responsibility for this. We had a number of other issues with the quality of workmanship including the shower door not being square, requiring a custom fit, work needing to be redone, etc.. If you want poor workmanship, your house in disarray for months instead of weeks, a company that does not stand behind their work and a sharp tongued store owner, this is the place.

The day they were suppose to come and install the carpet and flooring before the furniture arrived. Should have been my first clue. After installation finally took place the seams were noticeable in both the carpeted rooms- the guy came out and said it was the way I was vacuuming my carpet. The flooring was popping up in a few of the newly floored rooms, the guy cut the edging so the connection was right in the middle of the floor, which was not even. He came back to fix the said issues & he said there was nothing he could do about the eye sore being in the middle it was only size edging came in. Both carpenter & floor guy had to use google translate they did not speak English. I was told by Empire they had to have a second chance to make it right. Two years later carpet looks like it is 10 years old & 3 of the 4 rooms the flooring needs to be replaced. It amazes me...the workmanship is poor & the quality of their product is even poorer. But yet- Empires website has 5 stars on every review. Find yourself an old fashioned reputable family company. I wish I had known someone at the time.
