This office deserves more than 5 stars. I have had two children go through oral surgery with Dr…read more Hitchan. One was 8 yrs old and the other 21 yrs old at the time of surgery. Very different procedures but both were amazing experiences. All of our appointments have been prompt. Very little wait if any. Dr. Hitchan is approachable, warm, and knowledgeable. His office staff is friendly but more so, they treat you like a person instead of a number. Diane spent the greater part of a half an hour on the phone with me prior to my 21 yr old daughter's surgery discussing her great anxiety and how to make the process more comfortable for her both emotionally and physically. She took every step she could to make things better for her. When I was unable to go back with her to hold my daughter's hand during surgery prep, Diane promised me she would hold her hand the entire time. She did. During prep and during surgery. When we got to the car to leave, my daughter (under anesthesia) went on and on about Diane being the best person she has ever met in her whollleeee life. :) For her follow-up, I couldn't be there and once again, at the first sign of anxiety, Diane was at her side. Diane single-handedly made sure this experience was a positive one for her. In addition, Dr. Hitchan called the evening of each of my children's surgery to check on them. The doctor. Not his staff. Guaranteed this will be where I send anyone I know for any type of oral surgery. Thank you, Dr. Hitchan, Diane, and the entire staff!

I absolutely love Dr Van Heest. She is extremely knowledgeable and makes you feel comfortable. I…read morelike how she takes the time to listen. I didn't give 5 stars, because, the office manager Sue was rude. I called to schedule an appointment to get two cavities filled. Advised her I was having pain. She told me, I could come in to see what's going on. Explained to her that I had a full mouth of X-rays done there a couple months ago. Not just coming on to see what's going on. Advised her I need to get the cavities taken care of. She kept trying to talk over me and state her point. I'm considering finding a new dentist, because of her rude tone.

One star for politeness. Everyone here is very polite. The…read moresecond star is because they ARE actually a business, with employees and degrees and such. Aside from that, there is very little to like here. I came here to get a partial. This means molds of my teeth and x-rays. No problem, I know the deal. They spent almost an hour taking x-rays from every angle, and (as I found out later from an oral surgeon) they STILL missed a few teeth. Frustrating. Next up, I finally got the partial. Wonderful. I went in for the fitting. It VERY CLEARLY didn't fit. I expressed as much to Dr Van Heest. I told her there was a sizable gap between the partial and the roof of my mouth, and that it was too wide, was pushing on my teeth and was causing me pain. To her credit, she attempted to modify the piece, but when that made little difference she made it clear she had other business to attend to. I was told that it would be fine, and shown the door. FINALLY, I went in for some fillings, specifically to have a cracked front tooth fixed. What happened instead, was that they drilled into two teeth on the side of my mouth, that were giving me no problems. When I asked why they were going to work on those and not the clearly damaged tooth, I was met with an impatient huff. She dropped her instrument and told the dental hygienist that I then wanted THREE teeth done, instead of the original two. From that point, nothing I said made much difference. I just wanted to leave. They ended up drilling and putting in three fillings. The third? Next to the first two. In the back. My front tooth is still chipped. AVOID.
