As a former runner trying to get back in the game Dr Curson couldn't have been better. He listened, looked, suggested and proceeded. Gave me choices that we spoke about and agreed with. If I could give zero starts I would NIGHTMARE experience. I took my 7 year old son there for a toe infection. The doctor was not interested in answering any of my questions. He suggested to cut the side of the toenail out but when I started asking questions he didn't want to answer any of them... He basically said that this is what he recommends (no explanation why) and that's what he's going to do and if I don't like It I can go somewhere else. When I said I'd like to have some explanations and my questions answered he said "I've explained myself out, find someone else". Imagine what a 7 year old must have felt sitting there! Even if he was the best specialist in town I wouldn't let him touch my kid with that approach and horrific attitude. My son is still shellshocked after that experience. read more

I've been going to Dr. Curson's office for over 15-years. I have always been able to get an appointment quickly, he's extremely knowledgeable and uses state of the art equipment. I especially love Dr. Curson's sense of humor. He puts a smile on my face even when I'm in pain. His staff has always been cordial and accommodating. Dr. Curson is the real deal. He's got all the bells and whistles to treat your issue which is a big advantage over other podiatrists. I've been suffering from plantar fasciitis since early 2020 from over exercising and it was getting worse by the day. I was skeptical about finding a cure because cortisone shots didn't work for several of my friends and I tried night splints, custom orthotics, tens unit, massage guns, ointments, etc, and they all only relieved the pain temporarily. Dr. Curson told me what I should have done and was very thorough with the treatment. So far my foot feels better than expected and I'm currently getting treatments until the issue is cured in a few weeks. You tend to get what you pay for in this industry. Other doctors without the proper equipment try to sell me a quick fix but I'd rather pay good money for a professional like Dr. Curson who is knowledgeable and has the proper equipment to fix the issue. read more

Amazing doctor and amazing staff, very friendly and they take the time to know your history and seek the best treatment possible for your specific case. I decided to give them my full confidence for a chronic ankle sprain that just wouldn't go away. The laser treatment was really helpful and they did a set of custom orthotics that are really much better than the off-the-shelf stuff and others I had made before. My experience with Dr. Curson and his staff was excellent. I've been dealing with foot pain for over 6 months and after implementing his treatments my pain has decreased significantly. He fitted me for custom made orthotics (shoe inserts) and after a week of wearing them the pain in my left foot is practically gone. There are doctors who talk and those who help you walk again pain free. Doctor Curson is among the latter breed. I limped in with a sprained ankle approaching the size of a grapefruit and in pain. An hour later, I was walking normally having had X-rays, a shot, and a laser treatment. If you are in the Bal Harbour, Surfside or Bay Harbor area, don't bother with anyone else. The most unpleasant experience at a Dr's office in my life! Although staff was very nice, Dr Cursons attitude was terrible. I made the appointment in order for him to look at my nails and right off the bat he wanted to take x-rays for other "issues." I stated that my insurance does not cover x-rays and that I really wanted to deal with my nails. I said I would be interested in hearing more about the issues he foresees but I did not want to take x-rays at the moment. He did not appreciate that and when I asked other questions regarding my feet he proceeded to say that I am asking too many questions and that once I decide to take x-rays he would discuss my issues. I would think that if I am at an appointment with a foot Dr all of my questions/concerns would be welcome but not with Dr. Curson!! His office is outdated and dirty. I was taken into a room where there were another patients nails on the floor and the chair was dirty. They obviously did not clean after the other patient. I did tell his staff and they immediately cleaned it. Needless to say I will not be back and I would never recommend his services. read more

My husband been going to dr Curson for a while to have his nails clip every 2 month . The last January we went together and we were ready to pay and they came out with more than normal , so we ask what was the deal and she told us that he did an ultrasound : my husband was very surprised bc that was no reason to do that ( just to charge more to the insurance) happen that she call the Dr and he said yeah I did the ultrasound and I saw you still have avmed , but he didn't he start with Medicare , so they make us pay the whole bill because was a deductible with Medicare . I call Medicare and they told me that the office shouldn't make him pay anything until claim was send to then. We will never go back to see this Dr , very unprofessional and pure business man , always want to try to sell you something read more

Dr. Curson treated me UNPROFESSIONALLY and UNFAIRLY when he REFUSED TO SEE ME (JUNE 2017) TO PROPERLY TREAT my toe problem that he misdiagnosed and treated as a WART and I paid $270 back in July 2016! After the mistreatment and my follow up visit because my toe "wart" was not going away (end of 2016), we agreed that the office was going to contact my insurance company to get the pre-authorization for the new procedure/surgery Dr. Curson told me I needed. As time went by and I did not hear from the office, I contacted them and they told me they did not have the pre-authorization yet but when I contacted my insurance company, they told me no one had called! After a few phone calls back and forth to both the office and my insurance company during these past months at no avail, I decided to wait to see if the problem would go way. I have been living with pain and haven't been able to wear closed shoes for almost 1 year now! Fed up with the pain and the way my toe is looking, I decided to contact my insurance company today (June 7, 2017), explained the case myself and asked them to contact Dr. Curson's office instead. They immediately contacted the office, gave them the pre-authorization and I in turn called and was given an appointment to see Dr. Curson the next day to perform the much needed surgery. To help Dr. Curson to evaluate the problem before the surgery, I decided to send him an email with 2 photos of my toe but after that, I got a phone call from his assistance saying that he decided no longer to bill my insurance and that if I wanted to see him I would have to pay $650 for surgery and he required a deposit over the phone (credit card) in the amount of $275! I could not believe what I heard and expressed my disappointment at the treatment Dr. Curson was giving me especially after his misdiagnose and the pain and suffering I have been thru these past months! I asked to speak with Dr. Curson but the assistant told me he was not available but if I did not give her the credit card info I was not going to be seen! I ended up giving the credit card info and asked that Dr. Curson called me back. A few minutes later, the assistant called me again saying that Dr. Curson asked her not to process the credit card since he no longer wanted to perform the surgery/see me and he would be glad to send my file to whatever doctor I wanted! My assessment of Dr. Curson is that he is an INCOMPETENT doctor and that this entire time he was wishing I would not go back to him so he would not have to deal with my problem which now I come to think he has no clue what it is!!!
