After the 3 weeks of "treatment" that clearly wasn't working, I saw the doctor with a massively swollen leg and was simply told to continue to wear the boot and take more medication! 2 days later I admitted myself to the emergency room. To make matters worse, when I asked his assistant why they didn't perform another ultrasound after my leg was massively swollen at the calf which in itself most likely signifies a blood clot, she said my insurance only covers one ultrasound per 6 month period. My insurance said that was incorrect, that I'm covered for an unlimited amount of ultrasounds. After all that, and sending multiple emails to the office explaining what happened to me having to go to the emergency room, no one even responded! No one cared whatsoever about my situation that was in all likelihood caused by the treatment from this doctor. Horrible, horrible experience to say the least. Patient beware.

I had my painful ingrown toenails removed from both sides of my two big toes by another podiatrist/foot surgeon. I was in pain for a month while my toes healed. Then, to my disappointment, despite being told that the roots of the ingrown toenails had been killed with an acid solution and that they would not grow back, my ingrown toenails grew back worse than before. I went to get regular pedicures to get temporary pain relief when my ingrown toenails were cut but never fully removed. In NJ, the podiatrist/foot surgeons I visited were hesitant to do corrective surgery on my ingrown toenails since I am diabetic and the told me I might not heal properly. When I moved to Miami, my Mom spoke to a friend of hers who knows about lots of good doctors. She told my Mom to tell me to go to see Dr. Cynthia Marzouka-Losito. Boy! I sure am glad that I did! Dr. Cynthia Marzouka-Losito expertly performed surgery on the ingrown toenails on both sides of both of my big toes. She found that bits of nail had been left over from my previous surgery and she removed and showed me the big and thick chunks of nails she had extracted from deep within the sides of both of my big toes. No wonder I had been in a lot of pain from ingrown toenails before she operated on me! Sometimes, the surrounding skin had become black and blue! He said I had a sprain toe and he also said I am flat footed (never knew I had it or ever had problems even with the tests at different places when I buy soft soles for my shoes. It always said I have normal feet). I agreed to give it a try and paid for an orthotic. I stopped wearing it after it hurt my feet worse than it did before after about 1-2 weeks. I stopped wearing it and my feet were back to normal. I keep receiving a bill for this place that I had paid already.
