Amy Dunetz didn't take even a few minutes to answer my questions, but she did take a personal phone call during my visit and then began discussing her personal problems with me and my husband. The appointment felt rushed and dismissive. We were essentially pushed out and given shoe inserts we did not ask for. She also told me I'm "too young" to have foot issues. I'm 34... My father was treated by this doctor for a foot issue over an eight-month period and was repeatedly brought back for more procedures. Each time, he was reassured and convinced that continuing treatment would help. Trusting her, he followed her recommendations. Instead of improving, his condition worsened every time. He now has severe pain, limited mobility, and needs care from a nerve specialist. Valuable time was lost, and only after months of deterioration were we told there was nothing more to be done and to go to the ER for pain. The outcome has been devastating for my father. I really wish I was given the option to rate this place like 1000+ stars. I made an appointment (a few weeks back) to look at an issue I had with my big toes. I came in a lItte late and the staff was really nice about it. I was seen like 5 mins after I checked in and the doctor was so nice. I explained to her what was happening and she was very informative about it and offered options to solve my issue. She proceeds to do the laser toe nail fungal removal that literally took 10 mins and then she put this liquid called keryflex on my toes, in the areas that were uneven, solidified under uv light and was easily covered with nail polish. She and the staff were awesome and super friendly. I'm definitely returning. read more

I just visited Dr. Dunetz for the first time to get custom orthotics. She and her staff were incredibly friendly and professional. Dr. Dunetz is the type of doctor who seems to really care about her patients and takes the time to make sure they have the best results. Can't even call her a doctor. She destroyed my toe and permanently ruined the nail on my big toe after performing a supposed "simple procedure" for ingrown toe nails. There was nothing simple about it - I was unable to drive for weeks, had to use crutches and it even landed me in the OR with general anesthesia in order to get rid of an infection that was reaching the bone. Getting a pedicure is a nightmare, it is really difficult to find comfortable shoes and it looks absolutely awful. read more

She is an amazing doctor! Caring, and knowledgeable. Her office staff are wonderful as well! She spends time with you to go over anything that is your concern and to fix the issue. Not only is the doctor Great but her supporting staff is also! I woke up with a throbbing toe from a pedicure infection and she said come on over and I'm glad I did. I had a serious infection and she performed surgery immediately. I must admit I didn't want to watch but was all done I didn't have the pain. I'm healing now and the follow up also was wonderful. Dr Dunetz is absolutely the best. She recommended a fairly new procedure for the bottom of my feet. I had no fat or padding and was basically walking on bones. Dr. Dunetz said she could inject Sculptra, which is a product plastic surgeons use in women's face for a fuller effect. The result was amazing. She injected me first with Lidocaine. That hurt but when she injected the Sculptra there was no pain. The result was amazing. I have absolutely no pain when I walk. The dr was thrilled with the result but only I. Could assure her how fantastic it is. Besides this wonderful procedure she is an incredible dr. Her staff is just like her. The friendliest, cheeriest office I have ever been to. If I could leave zero stars, I would. I came to her wanting to support women in the medical field but also because female healthcare providers tend to be better listeners and diagnosticians - No so with Amy Dunetz. I went in wanting a diagnostic test. She verbally commandeered the entire appointment, refusing to listen at every turn. Her replies made zero sense and were not in line with what I was saying and asking. THE WORST part however, was when she decided to treat me WITHOUT CONSENT for something that I did not go in there for. She decided I had an ingrown toenail (I did not have any issues or pain with it) She cut off half my big toenail as I repeatedly asked her to "Stop!" and "What are you doing - NO!" I left in pain and bleeding all over the place for something that I was not there for NOR DID I NEED. I will be filing a complaint. I was in tears and shocked with disbelief that my autonomy had been violated so easily. And now I have to pay her for the procedure that I DID NOT CONSENT TO. Stay away. read more

To any and all persons that are in need of a compassionate, caring, attentive and professional podiatrist. Dr. Amy Dunetz is the best and only one for you.... I had already been released from another podiatrist who said all was well with my foot ,however, my foot was still swollen and in much pain. I called many doctor's offices all morning looking for a female podiatrist, another office that I called took my info and passed it along to Dr. Dunetz's office, who called me in less than 30 min to an hour and was able to work me in for an afternoon appointment that day. Dr. Dunetz 's staff took X-rays to reveal that my toe was fractured , she buddy taped my toe and told me to not wear those sandals again. At this very moment I should have been a step closer to amputation ,you see had Dr. Dunetz not notice the dark color and cold temperature of my fractured toe , the same fractured toe that the other podiatrist never saw in the previous X-rays or mri's , that toe could have died from a lack of blood and oxygen, when she realized what might've been the problem , she referred me to a specialist in the field to either confirm or deny her thoughts or suspicion on the matter at hand. Between Dr. Dunetz noticing something was off with the circulation in my foot and the specialist finding out where the circulatory problem was , in a joint effort they worked together to find out what was wrong with my foot. Glory to God , by God's grace and mercy he led me to the right doctor. Many times you go to a doctor and their demeanor make you feel uncomfortable with them and unapproachable towards them . NOT SO with this doctor or her staff. Dr. Dunetz listens , ask questions and make suggestions or demands when need be. :) "don't wear those sandals anymore, go back to wearing the boot" In this day and age , finding a doctor who sees you as a person rather than an billing number for your insurance is rare but what is even more rare is to find a doctor who is so interested in your wellbeing that she is more than willing to refer you to whomever or send you where ever you need to go to get to the root of your foot problem. Dr. Dunetz is very great! She was able to successfully remove an ingrown cuticle and I felt no pain. It healed well and I am doing great! I am very impressed with Dr. Dunetz and team. I had an issue with my heal after hours and was not familiar with Podiatrists in the Aventura area. Since I work there, I decided to search for a doctor in the area. I called at least four doctors. Dr. Dunetz was the only doctor who called me back after hours and spoke to me directly to try to solve my problem. I was in a great deal of pain and Dr. Dunetz worked me in during my lunch area the very next day when other doctors were giving me the run around or plain out never returned my call. At my appointment with Dr. Dunetz, she was very personable and empathetic. She took an X-ray and proceeded to treat me and issued a prescription for my pain. I also got a foot brace and orthotic devices that tremendously helped my problem. I also received follow up texts from Dr. Dunetz after my visits. I am well now and I'm extremely appreciative of Dr. Dunetz' professional and caring demeanor.
