When planning our wedding, my husband and I wanted to do something unique and special for our guests since we were a destination wedding and most guests flew in from all over the country to celebrate with us. Gary was recommended to us, and we couldn't be more thankful. We were married over a month ago, and our guests are still raving about how great he was. Gary entertained at our club event in Huntington Lakes last night (Feb 7th.) His performance of well over an hour was nothing short of amazing. The crowd was in awe. I was in the front, barely 20 feet from him, and had a clear vision of his every move. He made a regulation bowling ball drop from a piece of paper! He levitated a table with one of our members right there on the stage!! He produced a LOT of real snow from a torn up tissue!!! Those were just three of an incredible number of illusions and demonstrations. Beyond that, he was charming and funny, and really interacted with the audience. At the end of the show our whole club was on their feet cheering - a standing ovation! This review is long but deserved... We saw Gary at the Boca Black Box and he puts on a great show. His magic is great but what's really hard to figure out is the "mind reading". Very hard to imagine how the tricks are done.. My partner loved the show and she was volunteering unsuccessfully every-time he asked... We liked it so much, I thought of Gary when it came time to present a ring. We spoke and he was eager to be a part of the night. We came up with a plan to "recognize" him at a local bar/rest, have some small talk and convince him to do some magic for us. He/we pulled off the acting and he launched into several really great close-magic tricks. We had a small crowd gathered around by the end with only Gary and I knowing the diamond ring would appear from a ball of flame as a finale! He was AWESOME! For some reason Yelp! lists me as being in San Francisco. My event with Gary was in Boca Raton, Florida. I had the pleasure of hiring Gary for a 50th birthday party at a restaurant on the beach. 13 people attended, it was windy, dark, and we were seated in the back but did not have our own room. To say the least, the conditions for performing were difficult. Despite these difficulties, Gary absolutely killed it! Gary was funny, personable, and wowed each person seated at the table. Guests are still wondering how Gary pulled off some of his amazing mentalism and magic tricks. I would undoubtedly hire Gary again for almost any occasion.
