I hired Magic Jack to work at the 40th birthday I threw for my wife at a lounge in Fort Lauderdale. From the moment we first spoke, Jack was extremely professional and had a great attitude. Everyone he interacted with while doing strolling magic was impressed with his skills. We also asked him to do a 20-30 minute set while the band we hired went on break. The venue was not set up very well for him to do that, there were issues with the sound and lighting, and the room was full of 100 not very sober people who were not all that interested in watching a magic show. Nevertheless, Jack did a wonderful job of staying in character and positive. He got the birthday girl up there which brought the attention back to her and was a consummate professional. I would recommend Jack for any type of party or event. read more

Two weeks ago my company sent out a memo that one of our end of the year celebrations would be a magic show. I've been looking forward to it ever since, and let me tell you, Magic Jack did NOT disappoint! My whole face hurts from laughing and smiling for an entire hour! He was incredibly engaging, enthusiastic, charming, and everything in between. He turned a stressful work day into, quite literally, a magical one. It was the first time I've ever seen him perform, but I hope it's not the last! read more

Absolutely amazing magician. Such a fun personality and incredible showman. He will leave you entertained, baffled, and excited to tell your friends about his show. Great for kids parties as well as fundraisers and corporate events. read more

The whole show was an amateur comedy hour, referencing about a dollar bill, and how they wrap them up in Miami....referring to COCAINE HOOTERS....This is where children are watching. Card tricks,, & rope, and rings ...oh my ....good try, waste of my $36 and evening....please get a real show, what a joke.... We walked out after the last 6 people did before us.....this was the worst comedy act-magic show, that I have ever attended and hope you read this review and BEWARE OF JACK MAXWELL, the magic was not here!!! read more

I hired Magic Jack for my son's birthday party this past weekend. He was highly recommended by one of my friends. He arrived 45 minutes before to meet us and my son and set up for the show. The children and adults were enthralled during the entire performance! He had the children and adults laughing and amazed until the end! It's not easy getting 5 year old kids attention for very long especially 20 of them at once! I would recommend him to any one and definitely use Magic Jack in the future! read more

Magic Jack was awesome at our son's 7th birthday party. We had it outdoors in the morning hours hoping to miss the beating sun and it was still hot because it's south Florida :-). Even in the heat, Jack kept the crowd laughing and engaged throughout the show. Would highly recommend! read more

Magic Jack is awesome. I have seen him perform at a local restaurant as well as a corporate function and he really entertains everyone. His card tricks are really cool and I still don't know how he pulls off the prediction tricks. He is constantly coming up with new and improved magic tricks to keep the audience mystified. He also has a sense of humor and is always cracking jokes. I highly suggest seeing him in person. read more

Magic Jack Maxwell performed for our private party and he was amazing. We had about 30 guests and everyone was well entertained. From close up effects for two to three people to larger ones for the whole group. He even taught me some so that I can wow my family and friends. Every dollar was earned and he went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied. I recommend him for any event or birthday party, big or small. You will be entertained. Magic Jack was a true professional for my daughter's 6th birthday party. I'm honestly not sure who loved him more, the kids or the parents. He was on top of everything and reassured me he'd be there in the weeks leading up to the event, which suited my type-A personality. I'd definitely hire him again and again! read more

Very professional, right up to the point where he failed to appear for the contracted date and time with no advance call or reason. I had a corporate cocktail party with 100 disappointed guests awaiting Magic Jack's arrival, after my 5th phone call well after the event had begun he finally answered and simply said "Sorry, I really dropped the ball & I won't be able to make it - the event just slipped my mind." I was terribly embarrassed. Keep in mind we had a written contract, specifying date & time as well as paid a deposit for the event. Jack did follow up with a text & voicemail to apologize and offer to preform for free at a future date and returned my deposit which I appreciated but the damage had already been done. Based on this experience I can not recommend Jack. read more

We just saw him perform at the pumpkin patch in Miami Lakes. First, this was held at a church, so he had to be selective in what he said. Second, the children totally rushed the stage area and he had to perform his act in a very limited space. All that being said, he was EXCELLENT! Lots of sly humor for the adults and I think he handled the rush of kids very well. His illusions were surprisingly good. I would recommend his act for a library, kids party or any other family-friendly venue. My husband and I thought his sly wit and humor was appropriate for the venue but very funny. I would see his show again. read more

Magic Jack was great! He performed strolling magic at our Holiday Brunch Party for our employees (age mid 40's-60's). It's a great conversation starter and good way to pull people together that don't know each other. Great communication, funny, Jack's unique talent and quick wit will be the talk of your event and will put a smile on every person's face! read more

We had Magic Jack at quarterdeck as an entertainer provided by them and I was about to blow him off so he wouldn't disturb our meal but he was amazing! Not annoying at all and VERY entertaining! Magic Jack is truly magical!!!! I had him appear at my holiday party after seeing him perform in another venue. I was so impressed that I had to have him at my party. Magic Jack is a wonderful entertainer. He recently performed for our Holiday Party and everyone was amazed at their interaction with him. He arrived early was well dressed and prepared to entertain and quite humorous. He had no troubles walking around and speaking to all of our guests making everyone laugh and feel comfortable right away. His illusions are like none I had ever seen and small enough to be done on a party Yacht. I would highly recommend him for any venue, a great talent to have for any size party. read more

As far as magic acts go.. LOCAL magic acts specifically, you're not gonna get anything better than Magic Jack. He comes from the old-school hip-hop era as shown in his logo being a nod to run DMC. Supremely versatile, yo""he can entertain a group of young children just as well as he can entertain a corporate event full of drunk businessmen and women. The way he handles cards and his tricks is super sexy...flowing and elegant. He's been in the game for a long time he used to own a magic shop in Hollywood. The shop I used to visit when I first started getting into magic everybody in the area knew him he used to hold lectures at the shop it was great... unfortunately when magic shops made the move to the online space like penguin magic and stuff like that unfortunately, his wizards apprentice magic shop was unable to compete with that space Coupled with the economy bottoming out it was just impossible to keep doors open. The entire community was devastated when Magic Jack had to close the doors to the Wizards Apprentice Magic Shop. Jack is an amazing magician, he learned from all the old-school cats and all the magicians in the local area highly respect him. If you're in the market for a magician to come through to your corporate event your kids birthday party or anything of the sort, Jack can do it. he's got tricks for days and days and days and years. you're gonna love him. it's really a no brainer if you need a magician it's Jack, PERIOD. read more
