I hired Magic Jack to work at the 40th birthday I threw for my wife at a lounge in Fort Lauderdale. From the moment we first spoke, Jack was extremely professional and had a great attitude. Everyone he interacted with while doing strolling magic was impressed with his skills. We also asked him to do a 20-30 minute set while the band we hired went on break. The venue was not set up very well for him to do that, there were issues with the sound and lighting, and the room was full of 100 not very sober people who were not all that interested in watching a magic show. Nevertheless, Jack did a wonderful job of staying in character and positive. He got the birthday girl up there which brought the attention back to her and was a consummate professional. Two weeks ago my company sent out a memo that one of our end of the year celebrations would be a magic show. The whole show was an amateur comedy hour, referencing about a dollar bill, and how they wrap them up in Miami....referring to COCAINE HOOTERS....This is where children are watching. Card tricks,, & rope, and rings ...oh my ....good try, waste of my $36 and evening....please get a real show, what a joke.... I hired Magic Jack for my son's birthday party this past weekend. He was highly recommended by one of my friends. He arrived 45 minutes before to meet us and my son and set up for the show. The children and adults were enthralled during the entire performance! He had the children and adults laughing and amazed until the end! It's not easy getting 5 year old kids attention for very long especially 20 of them at once! I would recommend him to any one and definitely use Magic Jack in the future! read more

His card tricks are really cool and I still don't know how he pulls off the prediction tricks. He is constantly coming up with new and improved magic tricks to keep the audience mystified. Very professional, right up to the point where he failed to appear for the contracted date and time with no advance call or reason. I had a corporate cocktail party with 100 disappointed guests awaiting Magic Jack's arrival, after my 5th phone call well after the event had begun he finally answered and simply said "Sorry, I really dropped the ball & I won't be able to make it - the event just slipped my mind." I was terribly embarrassed. Keep in mind we had a written contract, specifying date & time as well as paid a deposit for the event. Jack did follow up with a text & voicemail to apologize and offer to preform for free at a future date and returned my deposit which I appreciated but the damage had already been done. Based on this experience I can not recommend Jack. read more

We just saw him perform at the pumpkin patch in Miami Lakes. First, this was held at a church, so he had to be selective in what he said. Second, the children totally rushed the stage area and he had to perform his act in a very limited space. All that being said, he was EXCELLENT! Lots of sly humor for the adults and I think he handled the rush of kids very well. His illusions were surprisingly good. I would recommend his act for a library, kids party or any other family-friendly venue. My husband and I thought his sly wit and humor was appropriate for the venue but very funny. As far as magic acts go.. LOCAL magic acts specifically, you're not gonna get anything better than Magic Jack. He comes from the old-school hip-hop era as shown in his logo being a nod to run DMC. Supremely versatile, yo""he can entertain a group of young children just as well as he can entertain a corporate event full of drunk businessmen and women. The way he handles cards and his tricks is super sexy...flowing and elegant. He's been in the game for a long time he used to own a magic shop in Hollywood. The shop I used to visit when I first started getting into magic everybody in the area knew him he used to hold lectures at the shop it was great... unfortunately when magic shops made the move to the online space like penguin magic and stuff like that unfortunately, his wizards apprentice magic shop was unable to compete with that space Coupled with the economy bottoming out it was just impossible to keep doors open. The entire community was devastated when Magic Jack had to close the doors to the Wizards Apprentice Magic Shop. Jack is an amazing magician, he learned from all the old-school cats and all the magicians in the local area highly respect him.
