Everything about this location was great!…read more This was my first time visiting this business. I went for an ear cleaning. I was greeted by Vivian, who was extremely pleasant and professional. My favorite part is that I didn't have to fill out 10 million pieces of paper, only one. I hate filling out forms! Lol I didn't have to wait long before my name was called for my appointment. The place is really clean and feels good. Decorated for the holiday, which enhanced the feel-good also. The young woman who took me back and gathered my information, I wish I knew her name, 5'2" short brown hair, beautiful smile, very joyful and pleasant to talk with. And then Dr. Nagy came into the room with an assistant, and she also was very informative, very professional. The entire experience felt really really good and didn't take a very long time. I will definitely be going back. In fact, I have a hearing test scheduled.

The process has been very humiliating, and it resulted in people mocking me for having a surgery that changed "nothing" about my voice. It also cost me 10 credits this spring 2026 semester, had to do an emergency withdrawal. He let his coordinator, Samantha Kunkel, berate me over email, then threatened to refer me out knowing that he was my only real option on an HMO Medicaid Plan. The whole issue was them being more than 20 minutes late to a tele-health pre-op clearance appointment, mind you LA ENT fines you ~$100 if you're more than 15 minutes late to an appointment even if you're on Medicaid (Medi-Cal)! Dr Mendelsohn was offended that I had skepticism regarding the procedure, became visibly irritated while talking about results, and did not talk about any objective measurement or statistics. He insisted that there was virtually no risk and that his patients never had a decrease in pitch post tracheal shave. Clearly false! I had the surgery, I followed the post-op instructions religiously then only started speaking after an appointment with my Speech Pathologist at UCLA, and I kept seeing her weekly. We worked on it for a few months and we noted a 4 point increase in my speaking frequency. Literature shows a normal variance of 50-70hz increase post op. He discharged (and banned) me for confronting him over email a few months ago. I met him at WeHo pride today and I asked him "How do you feel about botching my voice?" and he told me "I'd like you to move on, please." I'll let you be the judge of this physician's integrity. But it was disturbing that he was recruiting young people into his clinic at the pride parade given how he treated me and Anna P.'s daughter. (See her review below, as a former patient of Mendelsohn I testify to her credibility). He made me waive my right to a jury trial, and I clearly can't afford a lawyer anyway, so my only hope is the medical board of California.

I'd say I'm about 80% accurate, which based on the medical insurance I had a few months ago is about 100% better than the diagnoses I received from the "doctors" I saw during a brief insurance transition. Every 6-7 years I tend to get one of those annoying earwax blockages that no home remedy will nip in the bud. After a week of pulling on my ear to quick remedy the issue, I fell on the sword and headed to the experts. Dr. Gertel and the otolaryngology staff and specialists at the ENT office in Torrance were professionally efficient and friendly. And when everyone and their mother is packing in the med appointments to meet year end goals or deductibles or whatever it is they're doing, I was able to snag an appointment lickety split. On time and no nonsense and that they don't have obnoxious posters promoting Botox, rejuvederm or other vanity treatments is reason alone to push this physician network to the top of my list. Nothing against folks who partake, I simply prefer my ENT pros to stick to what they learned in med school and not cloud their expertise with trendy extras. Anyway, Dr. Gertel is a class act, though I know he wasn't acting - straightforward, friendly and a bedside manner worthy of praise and respect. The front office team was equally terrific. The only improvement I can recommend is moving the medical history forms to an online format; paper forms are so ahem, 1990's. Until next time.

We had a particularly unique and difficult situation when our 35-year-old son with special needs had a traumatic fall and broke his nose in two places in October 2024. His nose was visibly smashed and his breathing was badly impacted. He ultimately needed a rhinoplasty and septoplasty. After an initial consultation with another ENT left him frightened and unwilling to consider surgery, we spent nearly a year searching for a surgeon with both exceptional skill and genuine compassion. Dr. Leslie Irvine lived up to our expectations in every way! Dr. Irvine put our son so much at ease that he requested the surgery himself. He went into the hospital in an amazingly optimistic frame of mind, even during pre-op. His recovery was easier than expected, though understandably uncomfortable until the stents were removed a week later. His surgery was in October 2025, but I waited four months to write this review so we could see the results after most of the swelling resolved. We are amazed with the results! His nose looks fantastic, his breathing is greatly improved and this procedure has helped him regain his confidence. We were so impressed with Dr. Irvine's skill that six weeks ago I underwent an in-office procedure with her called VivAer to improve my own breathing. It took only about 20 minutes, strengthened my nasal walls, reduced my turbinates, and required no downtime at all. My breathing is dramatically better, I'm sleeping more soundly and exercising feels easier. We feel extremely fortunate to have found Dr. Irvine and could not recommend her more highly. If you're on the fence about fixing your nose... just call Dr. Irvine.

I am so very thankful for Dr. Yoshpe!!…read more Staff: Both at Torrance and Long Beach office were FANTASTIC! Wait time: 10min - 40min (As in most of my experiences with any doctor's visit) can be immediate and only once did we wait nearly 40min. But I was prepared with fruit snacks, water, and an iPad for games for my daughter who did not mind the wait time at all.) Doctor: Helpful, Informative, Genuine, Personable, Attentive, AMAZING One of THE BEST doctors/surgeons you will probably ever have the pleasures of being tended by. Reason for meeting with Dr. Yoshpe: ENT services My 6 year old daughter had major breathing problems at night due to swollen tonsils. After trying allergy meds and amoxicillin for her swollen tonsils the final decision was to remove her tonsils all together. BEST DECISION WE COULD HAVE MADE! Description of overall experience: Dr. Yoshpe was extremely helpful and informative throughout the process. I felt my daughter was safe in Dr. Yoshpe's hands. The procedure was very quick and within 45 minutes I was able to be right by my daughter's side as the anesthesia began to wear off. Dr. Yoshpe checked in on my daughter and myself within the hour after the surgery and the very next day I received a phone call as well with her checking in on my daughter's progress. To me that spoke volumes! Doctors/Surgeons who go out of their way to make house calls checking in on their patients are very rare these days. In this day and age professionals tend to be impersonal, so to find a doctor who reaches out to a patient out of pure genuine care and concern is truly meaningful. I appreciate everything Dr. Yoshpe has done for my daughter. Ever since her surgery she no longer struggles to breath at night, she has had less "allergy induced" cold symptoms and she has not snored one bit since her tonsils have been removed. She sleeps blissfully at night and I owe it all to Dr. Yoshpe!!
