This is my second time at the vdara with my dog sons. The first time around (2014), the grass was…read morevery patchy and dry. There was a lot of random poop left by other dogs and no cleanup. Considering how much you pay for a vdog suite, this place should have definitely upped their game on maintenance. The second time (2015), the grass was replaced and kept tidy. There was still yellow spots due to urine burn but overall it looked pretty nice. I believe they have maintenance ensure everything is clean and tidy for the guests and their pups. The water fountain is a Nice feature since the weather is so hot here. The only complaint I have is very little shade is provided. Since it is scorching 99% of the time here in Vegas, they should definitely put some type of sun shade for owners and their pups to prevent heat exhaustion.

Cons: The bathrooms are closed and replaced with porta potties, there were several homeless people lounging around throughout and the tennis courts are closed due to construction. Pros: the playground areas were actually clean and worthy of playing on, there's a splash pad, a gated dog park area and best of all they have an awesome/large walking trail which was actually the entire purpose of my visit today. Despite the excessive amount of homeless, I actually look forward to walking the trail, burning calories and getting a really good cardio in.

They turn off the lights around dark times I see but I'll for sure be back! I've been finding parks to run at and feel the breeze outside! I always go to an indoor gym but sometimes I wanna be in nature and see the trees and grass! I love running it's so fun! I love pushing my body and opening up my heart chakras more while running. It's a good thing! Anyways check this place out! It's getting hotter everyday in vegas now! Maybe I'll try to run during the heat but I'll need shorts to run in heat! We'll see!

Parking is either across the street or along the street. There is one building for bathrooms, a smaller building that is used as a "snack shack" and a play area. The play area has a large slide, some swings and a small slide area for smaller kids. That about sums it up. Not in the greatest area from what I recall. One night swat was in the area and we were pretty frightened by the flash bangs, but the baseball diamonds are pretty legit, so it gets 4 stars.

Went today for my son's baseball game and felt so dissappinted and disgusted by the state of the park. The baseball fields are great, I'm grateful for that. But using the facilities is almost impossible and the park needs to be cleaned. It also doesn't help that the homeless leave their used paraphernalia around. Update: I am happy to say that I received a reply from Patrick who said he forwarded my emails to the appropriate department. It looks hopeful that they will put in effort to clean up th is park. We found this dog park randomly through an Apple Maps search for "dog parks." Chose this one…read morebecause it seemed the most open and spacious. Turns out it was. Great open space with real grass. Pups enjoyed chasing the birds. There's public park bathrooms nearby which is very convenient if you need to use the bathroom or just if you'd like to wash your hands - there's both soap and water as well as sanitizer. The dog park has several concrete benches throughout the park both in the shade and in the sun. We started in the shade but then it was too chilly so we moved to a nice bench and got some sunshine. It wasn't a busy day. We went on Thanksgiving Day. Several dogs came and left. The few people we met were very friendly and talkative in a neighborly way. Dogs are required to be spayed or neutered and over 4 months of age. A good policy to have for any dog park! There's a spacious large dog side and small dog side. Each has its own poop bag stations and water fountains for pups. Trash cans are abundant throughout the park as well. Overall, it's one of the best dog parks in terms of cleanliness, convenience, spaciousness, and design.

The parking lot had a few on the trashcans and we thought that maybe maintenance was low and decided to go onto to the water to take a look. Not even a couple of feet into the park thousands and thousands of roach like bugs on the ground just crawling around. The trees were beyond infested and i think can be a root cause to them being at the park along with the water.

Spring Valley Park is one of my families favorites to come to. They have a big walking path that…read moreconnects two big parks as well as a dog park. My son loves the splash pad area here and the park is usually never crowded when we go. There's tons of benches and gazebos, perfect for bbq's and picnics. I love that they have real grass here and it's very well kept. I will say the park is in a rough area so it's not uncommon to see a couple of homeless people around but we've never had any issues and they usually are just relaxing and keeping to themselves. Overall this park is a great spot and is literally right in the backyard of spring valley HS. It's super walkable and has a good amount of parking. Will be coming back a lot more for the summer.
