I was in the area and stopped by to look at their menu, noticing they have a special combo offer: Irani Chai (Hyderabadi Dum Chai) with 2 Karachi (Osmania) Biscuits for $3. Cookies and tea. Who can resist? I thought why not give into the chai and biscuit temptation. I would much rather do so supporting a local business. Years ago Irani Chai was introduced to Hyderabad by Persians who ran cafes and tea houses inside bakeries. While not as rich and creamy as a typical masala chai, I found the Irani Chai to be sweet, milky and decently spiced, a perfect vessel for dipping the accompanying buttery, sweet and salty Karachi biscuit. To dip or not to dip, that is the question. A quick look at their menu lists Vegetarian Starters which include Veg Manchuria/Gobi/Paneer, Dynamite Paneer, Dynamite Gobi, Paneer RR, Gobi Rr, Lemon Pepper Paneer/Gobi, Paneer 777, Gobi 777, Paneer Samosa (3 Pcs) or Veggie Samosa (3 Pcs). You can get 3 Pcs Veggie Samosa for $4.99 or 3 Pcs Paneer Samosa for $5.99. They also offer popular Street Food items such as: Punugulu (12 Pcs) - crispy outside, yet soft inside, deep fried round sliced fritters made usually with urad dal, rice flour or rava - and Mirchi Bhajji - deep fried green chilli fritters coated in gram/besan flour (my personal favourite). Also on the menu are a number of Vegetarian, Chicken or Mutton Hyderabad Curries, served with either white rice or Naan, priced under $15. All three categories offer versions of either Veg, Chicken or Mutton Entrees: Tikka Masala, Dum Ka, Butter Masala, Khorma, and Kachi Mirchi. I did a search on my Uber Eats app and found Queens, a takeout joint that has Sri Lankan food and more. Well, I felt like wings and ordered the most non-Sri Lankan meal off the menu. I couldn't resist, as I got a free item with my purchase. I ordered the following items: - A pound of honey garlic wings with fries - Butter chicken roll (free item) I got to this eatery earlier than the estimated time. This plaza has plenty of parking and features a patisserie that I love. I made the mistake of parking near a Ford F-150 pickup truck that had the brightest headlight hitting my sideview mirror. Luckily, he drove off and I could see again. When it was time to pick up my order, I headed inside. There were three men in front of me talking to the two staffers that were behind the counter. I stood out like a sore thumb, as I was the only Chinese person in the store. The woman behind the counter acknowledged me quickly and asked if I had an Uber Eats order. I did and stated my name. She handed me a paper bag with my food. I thanked her and headed to my car with the goods. It was a nice touch with service. I got the VIP treatment on my first visit. This store has hot foods, snacks, drinks, and more. It was cool looking at everything while I waited in line. I put my food in an insulated bag and drove home. This store does not have any seating to dine in. It offers catering and takeout only. The wings were excellent. They were crispy, meaty, and saucy. They had the perfect honey garlic sauce on each wing. So good! The fries were also amazing. They had a light crispy coating similar to the fries that you get at Costco. I'd get this meal again in a heartbeat. What this place does even better are the butter chicken rolls. The one that I ate was super crispy and delicious. The butter chicken was flavourful and awesome. This place didn't skimp on filling. I'd go back for the butter chicken rolls alone. There's also a mutton version that I'd like to try. Ckcien that came with topped with onions, garnish, and coated in spices. The breading was a bit crunchy and the interior was soft and tender. A good blend of opposites when you bite into it. The next dish was dolphin kuthu. It was an interesting blend of several different things. Chopped roti, egg, mixed vege and chicken. Similar to the chicken, it was a mix of soft roti as a result of the sauce and the firmer vegetables and chicken. My friend ordered a bit spicy for me, but overall, the dish was really well made. The final dish was a mutton lamprais. It was a rice dish wrapped in a banana leaf. Each section was packed with something different- eggplant, shrimp, garlic etc. If you're looking to try a huge variety of different Sri Lankan food, this is what you would get. Overall I really enjoyed the variety as you can get something different in every bite. Ended with the Watalappam dessert, which is a coconut custard pudding. It was soft, smooth, creamy and not too sweet. You can really taste the coconut in the pudding.

I liked that it was topped with an omelette. 2) Crab Pittu Combo (pittu served with crab curry, fried fish, Jaffna-style omelette (with onions, garlic, curry leaves, turmeric, green chillies), pol (coconut) sambol, coconut milk sodhi) - There were a lot of ingredients and dishes in this combo! The pittu itself was very mild and dense - a good carb accompaniment to everything else. The crab was hard to eat as they didn't pre-crack any of the shells, and they didn't give a cracker to crack them open. I liked the Jaffna-style omelette and fish that came with this combo, in addition to the grated coconut crumbles that were part of the pittu. In addition to Sri Lankan dishes, there were South Indian and Hakka dishes as well on the menu. They offer take-out and delivery (saw lots of delivery drivers waiting for orders). We might go back to try some of the other dishes that we didn't get to try this time around (thanks to the extensive menu and large portion sizes).
