I don't get dry cleaning done often, but the last few times that I have come here I was very well taken care of, staff was friendly, and my clothes looked great! I would like to share a wonderful experience I encountered at Garth Road cleaners. As many of us would do in a hurry gathering clothes to take to the cleaners we look for the most dirtiest or whatever we can find to get dry cleaned or possibly even look for all the new garments to clean and in doing so in a rush we forget to look through our pockets. Which is what I did leaving a substantial amount of cash in my pockets.. when I discovered this the next day I immediately returned to the cleaners with skepticism that I would recover my money... However the owner who are I called Mr H. Was very attentive to my concerns about my lost he told me to give him a little time and he would investigate.. several days later I received a call asking me to come up there to pick up my cash not only was it a relief but let me tell you it was a blessing because how many business owners would call you a personally and correct a mistake that you made and because one of its employees was dishonest he took the initiative to step up and make it right.. not only was that commendable but they do a damn good job on the clothes too!! Had the first and worst interaction and experience with GARTH ROAD CLEANERS it's the worst place ever, went in to grab our clothes and the owner and his mom said they can't find it that maybe they took it over to another shop and to give them 10 minutes to figure it out, my mother and I said okay and he started asking us what colors and sizes and I was like wouldn't you know that if you took our clothes... we gave them a description of the clothes and they said we only had brought them 4 shirts and 1 pair of jeans (FR work Clothes) but we took in 8 jeans and 7 shirts and when I told them that the mom of the owner started screaming saying that we should've looked at the ticket and how many items were listed on there even though they didn't write it on the ticket they gave to us which wasn't the usual ticket like when they were under other management... they also said that they aren't responsible for the missing clothes and they could give us store credit... (let me take more clothes for them to loose it again... what a Joke!) I told the guy to maybe look at the cameras to see that it was that many items and to see the colors and all and he said "I would but I'm busy and I'll get to it when I want" and laughed... he started getting mad and his mom too then he said you know what yall can leave my store and started talking about me and my moms appearance and called the cops.. the owner had to push his mom back due to the fact she was getting in my face and that's okay because again as long as she didn't touch me I'm good because again we know that they are in the wrong so I'm not going to leave when they have my clothes. The ladies in the back came up to speak to my mother and told her to give them a second and they would personally find them for us.. when a older lady came from out back she said she knew what happened and that they had another person under the same name and she brought out shirts to the front then the owner FIRED her since again he told me he "never makes mistakes" so when he was shown his mistake he got upset and told her to get her keys and to leave because she was fired. If anything the lady helped him find the problem and he could've said "my bad, here's your clothes " or something. The police arrived we explained to them our side just like the owners did and tried to help get our clothes back. The owner said these fattys aren't getting their clothes back and took them to the back. The owners made several comments about my mother and I and was telling us to leave and he wasn't going to do nothing for us anymore. Police came to an agreement and supposedly they would call us to pick it all up and if not to take them to court. All I wanted was my clothes.. no need for the comments or screaming. Another man was in there and saw everything and told us look and showed us how he had picked up his clothes and had a pair of someone else's jeans. My point exactly!! They are unprofessional, unorganized and disrespectful. I went to leave a review online just to see this has happened to MULTIPLE people! I've been coming here for multiple years from when the past owner was here till now and I can personally say there's a BIG difference I get here on time every morning to drop my clothes off before work and have to wait 30 minutes top for the door to be open on many occasions the ladies from the back have to open the door for me and make my ticket. In the afternoons when I drop my clothes off the owner is there and this man takes 10 minutes to make my ticket miscounting my clothes on several occasions and losing many pieces of mine I try giving them chances to fix the mistakes and every time it's the same thing, when I bring up the issue the man and his mom start yelling and getting very rude and disrespectful. This man is always high smelling of weed every time I come in his fellow male coworker reeks of alcohol and they're very immature and take nothing seriously. I've also noticed my husband's pants aren't as heavy as they used to be nor his shirts I don't understand if they've changed workers In the back but very poor quality my white shirts constantly come back to me with stains they've never had. Terrible service!! brought brand new clothes in for a wedding. Asked for hard starched jeans which we got but they were starched with creases all over the legs. The shirts we brought in were pitiful. One whole arm was left undone and wrinkled, the pocket was smashed and creased, and the backs of both dress shirts were wrinkled. Very careless job. Not to mention the lady running the front desk just topped it off. screaming on the phone "don't call back here you F****** B****". Highly suggest taking your business elsewhere. read more

I don't care for this place as it was once my primary dry cleaner until they lost a part of my jeans and offered a pitiful remedy. This location is also owned by the same company that owns the location at the corner of Bush Rd and Cedar Bayou. The only reason I recently visited is because I need to ensure the completion of one pair of shorts for the following day as my current cleaner was having a "pipe issue."
