Taco Tuesday! I've been seeing this truck on my IG feed and wanted to try and was excited to see such great reviews. I placed a door dash order for pick up. Food was ready about 20mins after I placed the order (according to door dash). We're 13mins away from the pick up location. My husband left and came back a total of 30mins. Food was neatly packed, utensils and condiments packed. I ordered: one asada torta, 1 adobada and a quesataco comb (comes with a drink and consume). So the abobada was pretty good. The Quesataco was delicious however we didn't get the drink (horchata was my drink of choice) that it was supposed to come with. The asada torta was so DISAPPOINTING it was only meat and bread, the menu claims it comes with cilantro, onions cabbage and tomatoes but the asada torta we received didn't have that. The asada meat wasn't great it tasted grimy, had like a dirty after taste like it was from the bottom of a batch. Not sure what happened but definitely not worth the price. Most likely won't be returning. read more

Came here because it was close to where I was working. Saw all the good reviews and pics. I decided to try the quesobirria. It didn't disappoint. I had it with cheese. I feel like quesobirria is something really common now and when served with consommé it's really hard to get wrong. They also have Thifty Ice Cream here too. I had a pineapple strawberry drink that was sweet and refreshing. I think it a good place to come back to if I'm nearby. There were other things that look worthy to visit again. read more

We tried this taco/dessert spot. It's a tiny spot that you might miss if you don't know where to look. We ordered at the counter, super friendly and ordered right away. Our food came out right away. Wowwwww guys! We walked to their food truck location on a whim and are so happy we did! We got the shrimp asada burrito, some shrimp quesatacos and an Agua Fresca. Our usual spot for tacos was closed on Sunday, so after finding Garrafa on here, I decided that we should go try it out. First impression once you pull into the parking lot is there's not a lot of spots available. It's a small restaurant, they only have two tables of 4. After we ordered, we sat at one of the tables and the food was out fairly quickly. Everything was great, the only complaint my husband had was that it was pretty greasy. After we ate, we decided to try their mazapán ice cream. It was an interesting texture but the flavor was so good! Small shop, big tastes! My husband and I came to try their famous birria tacos and added on a small nacho to the order. Quesabirria tacos with crispy taco shell were bomb! The meat is incredibly juicy and tender, the cheese was loaded on and melty, and the crunchy taco shell was perfection! I haven't had much crunchy taco shells, and I appreciate the overall mix of textures as they come together. Consume costs extra, but we went ahead and included it in our order, and it was much needed to get the taco shell to a nice crispy but soaked state. Nachos came loaded with toppings to the point where tortilla chips were hidden. Tortilla chips looked homemade and were supremely tasty. I always get the shredded beef and cheese deep fried tacos with rice and beans, and they are GREAT! Stopped by the Olive Ave location for nieve de garrafa. We ended up ordering a full spread. We couldn' pass up the sign indicating that they have tacos de canasta on the weekends. You don't see tacos de canasta often so we couldn't pass it up. The gentleman at the register was so nice, friendly, and helpful. The food was out very quickly and everything was hot and fresh. We had the quesabirria combo, consome, tacos de canasta, agua de guava y fresa, and garrafa style ice cream in: coco, mazapan, chongos, beso de angel, and Tamarindo. The quesabirrias we delicious and hearty and we also ordered the consome for dipping! The tacos de canasta were also very good! Both orders of tacos come with all the fixings, too! The agua de guava y fresa was so good, and had lots of yummy guava flavor. The nieves de garrafa were all so good....all 5 flavors we ordered were perfection and I can not pick a favorite! They were ALL so very flavorful! The mazapan flavor was soooo good, the coco was so rich in coco flavor, the beso de angel had pieces of wafer cookies in it, the tamarindo had a perfect hint of saltiness. I grew up eating home mad birria with my abuelitas recipe from mexico. I have never liked eating birria tacos at any restaurant in the US until I tried Garrafa's. I started off with one taco just to see what the hype was about and ended up eating four that day. So believe me when I say "I'm hooked". Today I had an itch to try their adobada tacos. This is a drink that's mixed with masa flour and taste just like a corn tortilla. Not my favorite but now I know what it tastes like. I also, ordered a fruit cup with the traditional fresh squeezed lime juice, chamoy, valentyna hot sauce and tajune seasoning. It was so delicious and fresh!
