Well we went in to ask if would be opening up since the lights were on. The owner greeted us and said oh the girl just went home sick but I have time I can open the store for you. As we waiting for her, she was so gracious to the guest she was assisting and her other staff as she explained the situation and excused herself. So our sweet girls got to on their annual shopping spree at their favorite store in Leavenworth thanks to her. I can't remember her name but she was so friendly and loved helping the girls pick things out and show them all the toys and accessories in the shop. We have gone to both shops for the last 5 years on our annual trip to Leavenworth and every time the experience is exceptional. From the moment we walked in, I felt like we were being watched the entire time. As a single mom shopping alone with young children, it was incredibly uncomfortable. For context, my children were behaving appropriately. They were not running around the store or touching merchandise. My 5-year-old simply had a pen in his hand while we were shopping. The final straw was when I asked a sales associate if there was an issue with us. She got down to my 5-year-old's level and pretended to punch him. Why would you pretend a punch my five-year-olds to wind him up when you're obviously watching me because you're judging. She appeared to be in a management position, which made the interaction even more upsetting. We still made it to the checkout line, and she continued watching us. At no point did she apologize or acknowledge how uncomfortable the situation had become. I left the earrings and didn't want to purchase. It's frustrating that a children's store could make a parent feel so unwelcome it was actually my two year old that depends. Shopping with kids isn't always easy, but families deserve kindness and understanding--not judgment. I left feeling embarrassed, disappointed, and certain that I will not be returning.

My wife, mother in law and I were window shopping Sunday night after hours and I saw a T-shirt that I liked. Not my normal kind of store but definitely my kind of shirt. Next day we all were shopping and went back to find the tee and were sadly unable too locate any in the store. Enter AWESOME employee. She helped me look all over the store, then she went looking through the computer to see if there were any in inventory, found there was some but still couldn't locate them. I said thank you for the extra effort and it just wasn't meant too be. We left the boutique and carried on with the shopping. Bummed but commenting how hard she tried as we went. Several stores away, up a hill and just after rounding a corner appeared AWESOME employee, calling after me had chased me down to say that she had found the excellent T-shirt in multiple sizes if I was still interested.
