I found them on Yelp, and the experience dealing with them was 5-star from start to finish: response time, menu suggestion, pricing, and follow through were all perfect. We had a meeting to cater in our North Haven, CT office on 7/25/18, expecting about 30 attendees. We needed additional tables and chairs which Bob was able to provide through a partner vendor he works with. Bob handled all logistics and pricing so we only had to deal with him for final payment. On the day of the event Mark came to set up, serve, and clean up and did a fabulous job on everything. There really is no need to go anywhere else if you need catering for your event - I know we won't!

The shop looks great after the recent updates under new ownership -- cleaner, brighter, more inviting space. That said, I was really let down on my first visit since the change. The grinder I got for lunch had noticeably less meat than before. What used to be a hearty, well-stacked sandwich with generous layers of cold cuts now felt skimpy on the protein -- probably about half (or less) the amount I was used to. The other components (cheese, veggies, hot sauce) were fine, but the lack of meat made it feel more like a veggie-heavy sub than the satisfying Italian combo I always counted on. Everything else was good -- friendly service, quick prep, fresh ingredients -- so I'm hoping this was just an off day or an adjustment period with the new team. I'd love to see the portions return to their old generous standard, because the foundation here is still strong. 2.5/5 stars from me right now. They were helpful, responsive, and everything was clear and upfront. There were no surprise charges, or "gotchas".
