The most I've been kept waiting after being taken to the back is 30 minutes and while the appointments are really short (less than 10 minutes with the doctor) they've really all I need. Dr Patel listened to me and even wrote a prescription for a cheaper topical anti-acne treatment since I couldn't afford to pay $180 for a 3 month supply. That would be just crazy talk :). I was concerned about a couple of moles and he biopsied them right there and they were fine and removed another one. It's been 4 years since it was removed and while there is a slight scar based on its location and size (smack dab in the middle of my forehead) it's not noticeable by anyone except me when I'm applying makeup. Since seeing a dermatologist and using retin-a and benzaclin on my skin, it's become completely clear. I only get breakouts when I repeatedly fall asleep without washing my face :-( I know it's a really bad habit to get into, but still. To save money, I mix clindamysin with benzoyl peroxide myself rather than paying for the expensive benzaclin. I have tried to remove either the benzoyl, clindamycin, or retin-a from my regime periodically over the last 4 years and whenever I do, I get breakouts so I suppose each is essential and each worked with my skin.

Before the appointment, we tried to get answers about whether this procedure could actually be done, but no one would provide a clear response. We were simply told to come in. When we arrived, they had her complete all of the paperwork, took her insurance information, and collected a $40 copay. Only after all of that did the provider spend less than two minutes telling her they could not remove the keloids and, because she is pregnant, they would not recommend injections either. If they knew pregnancy would prevent treatment, or if they weren't able to provide the service we requested, that should have been communicated before scheduling the appointment and collecting a copay. Instead, we left having paid for a visit that accomplished nothing beyond being told, "We can't do what you came here for." This felt like a complete waste of our time and money. Better communication and screening before the appointment would have avoided this entire experience

As a medical professional diagnosed with psoriasis at the age of 24 I went to Dr Koriakos several years ago for about a year. She could not manage my skin and never offered a remedy for psoriasis with a biologic or to treat symptoms associated with the disease. I had a severe flare up and I called the office. I was itching to the bone and for those of you that know that feeling I am sure you understand. I was told by the NP to "hydrate and put on lotion." After I explained that I have sat in oatmeal baths, taken Benadryl and rubbed Eucerin lotion all over and it is not working. The reply was, "sorry!" I immediately stopped going to this office. I began seeing a Dr. in Allen Tx that prescribed and managed my skin with a biologic and have been completely clear since that time. Now I moved and had to find another doctor. I found one but accidentally made the appointment with Dr. Koriakos once again. I decided to follow through and give her another try. Terrible mistake! After the long wait and once placed in the room the "medical assistant" began to ask questions. I told her I was there for a skin check and to get a prescription for the biological medication I have been on for five years. She then stated, "It's been a while since you were here" my reply was simply that I had a bad experience with the office a few years ago and changed doctors. I explained the terrible symptoms I can get and told her I have lived with this for years and need a doctor to manage the prescription and the symptoms. I also informed her that since I made the appointment in error that I would try them again. Next thing I know the doctor (Koriakos) comes in and puts her hand on my leg, "since you made this appointment in error, we do not need to reestablish you here and will refund your money." I explained although it was an error I would like to try her practice again since I am already here. She refused and placed her hand on my leg again. At this point I feel like she is being passive aggressive so I said, "that will be just fine and do not put your hands on my again." The wait in the office is long, any time you call them you get an answer machine, and they never call you back. The care is poor and you are usually shoved off on an NP or Med Attendant. If you want sub-par care and people that see you only as dollar signs, go here. If you want a true doctor that will diagnose, treat and manage body systems this is NOT the place.

Hmmm...where do I start?…read more 1. I'm taken back to the room and ridiculed for not having them give me a flu shot (sorry but not injecting poison for a 3% success rate) 2. Dr. Rachel Quinby-Graves and her assistant making fun of me for telling her that I was putting tea tree oil on the spot I was concerned about...it's only worked for thousands of years but yaaaaa SCIENCE (eye roll) 3. HORRIBLE BEDSIDE MANNER!!! Rude is an understatement. 4. I have her remove a small mole above my eyebrow. When I take the bandage off the very next day, THE MOLE IS STILL THERE!!!!!!! I'm hit with a bill for hundreds of dollars for something that is still very much there. Hmmm...curious who's mole she sent to get biopsied? 5. I call billing...explain I'm not paying for the mole removal or biopsy, but happy to pay for the visit. The lady is very kind and says she needs to speak with the office about how they want to proceed. They call me back WEEKS later and basically tell me to F off and that the bill needs to be paid in full. So ya...maybe go to ANY other doctor and practice. I posted a pic that I just took where my mole is very much there. I am reporting the practice and the doctor. I hope it was worth it for them. Dr. Quinby-Graves, you suck

It's tucked back from the road in a strip of offices, so use your GPS to find it. There's a roadside sign, but it's not super obvious and there are several business names on it. They remodeled the front lobby / waiting area in the last year, and it looks snazzy. The front desk folks are nice enough, as are the checkout folks. I may not be the mole guy from Austin Powers, but I inherited a lot of moles from both Mom and Dad. They've both had several removed, and I started having moles lopped off in high school. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND anyone and everyone visit a dermatologist and have their moles and freckles checked out. Skin cancer is the #1 cancer, and it's easy to be proactive about. North Texas Dermatology has done a good job at helping me keep up with this proactive care, and I appreciate that! I've almost always seen Pam Murray. She's excellent, and she does a good job at making a dude not feel too self conscious about stripping down almost naked to having every square inch of skin checked out. Any mole removal she's performed has been completely painless. All in all, no complaints. Good place. Easy 5 stars.
