What a fantastic tour by Mashav (the owner and the chef of Le Couloir)! Richmond neighborhood in SF…read moreis known for its mix of cultures, but Mashav masterfully uncovers all the hidden secrets and gems - Secrets only someone who lives in this community is familiar with. And she does that through food and hand-picked dishes that you will never uncover without a guide. Even though locations may change per tour, our group tasted a mix of cultures and got some stories behind the dishes, the restaurants, and their owners. Few examples - * Russian cuisine - Herring with a pickled onion on fresh bread * Indian street food - I was surprised how much I enjoyed this vegan street snack - I would have never ordered anything without meat, and I dislike spinach, but the fried spinach snack was mind-blowingly good. * Mexican - Quesadilla with plantain. Again, no meat but it was soooooo good. * Chinese - Glazed Pork and pork-filled bun I won't spoil the surprise for some of the other locations. And more, and more - Total of about 7-8 places. You won't stay hungry, guaranteed. The walk itself is not challenging; there are no hills to overcome, even though it's San Francisco. Don't wait - Just go!

First off, a demo. She showed us a unicorn and other pretty demos in about 2 minutes. She certainly has more talent in 2 minutes than I have in....ever LOL. Then it was 3,2,1...go! Anyway, a super relaxing activity (even though there was an eventual winner in a friendly competition). Decorations - paints, candy decorations, edible markers to draw Macarons - white, pink, orange, green Yummy buttercream...yes I was just eating the vanilla bean, also salted caramel and raspberry. Lindsay and crew just went around offering help and refilling our champagne. This was a fun and relaxing event. On my recommend list for artists and non-artists and, of course, anyone with a sweet tooth.

He's a great teacher, a fun person and was full of energy and kept the program moving. It was 1AM in Madrid and you would never know it from his abundant energy, fun personality and professional teaching skills. His camera angles showed us each step and he kept the show at a high, entertaining level. We were all VERY impressed. Our Cooking Event was a complete success! Thank you, Debbie, Chef Carlos and everyone at Cozymeal!!! I'm so glad I found YOU, Chef Carlos and Cozymeal and we were able to share this experience with my colleagues. I couldn't be happier with how everything turned out. Very professional, very personal and very kind. The world needs more Debbies and Carloses!!!

booked Cozymeal's "Chef Rick / Latin Cuisine Made Easy" experience as a birthday event for my wife…read more It was advertised as a hands-on cooking class where we would create a four-course Latin-inspired meal with instruction. That is not what happened. There was essentially no hands-on cooking. My wife and I repeatedly asked how we could help, and the only participation we were given was washing lettuce and chopping a small amount of pepper. There was no meaningful instruction, no real teaching, and very little engagement. The ingredients were also very disappointing for the price. Store-bought tortilla chips were used despite the menu advertising homemade chips. The carne asada was supposed to include chimichurri, but it was seasoned with store-bought seasoning from a jar and no actual chimichurri was prepared. I contacted Cozymeal immediately with detailed feedback. After delays, they refused to refund the booking and offered only a 15% gift card toward another Cozymeal experience, which is useless because I would never use them again. This was an awful experience and Cozymeal did not stand behind it. I would strongly recommend avoiding this platform.

She was extremely responsive by email, easy to accommodate special dietary needs and helpful to propose alternatives to menu selections. Our dinner included a table spread, delicate/pomegranate tarts, wild mushroom/fontina hand pies, dungeness crab tostada salad, lobster mac and cheese, lamb lollipops, mini filet mignon wellington and pear/almond tarts. When the team of 4 arrived, she took over without any hesitation or need for instructions. The food was delicious and our party could not say enough amazing things about the quality and taste of the food. One quoted "BEST party ever". One of the servers passed food on beautiful displayed wood trays and helped to serve beverages as well. The food service and timing was spaced nicely, the temperature and freshness of each section was perfect and they helped to clean the kitchen and put everything away by the end of the night. I wish I had taken photos of each food tray, but unfortunately only have the photo of Chef Mariana bringing the cake. I highly recommend Chef Mariana, she is a gem.

Fantastic cooking experience…read more I came with a few friends to have a little bonding time during the holiday. We opted for the Tom Yum shrimp, Pad Thai with chicken, and Kanom krook cooking class. We were honestly very impressed with Sunshine and the recipes she took us through. The Tom Yum was pretty straightforward, but the pad Thai was slightly more difficult. We were happy to have her guidance as it turns out needs to be cooked quickly to get the right textures/ cooked efficiently. I've never had kanom krook dessert, but were pleasantly surprised at how good and how versatile it can be. The location was also nice and comfy. I would love to be a regular student of hers. She's a lot of fun. At first I thought that the ingredients she chose were so fragrant, it made me want to just take those home. Turns out I'd enjoy the whole experience.
