Not only did a see zero results from the procedure but later got a copay of $20. I looked into this, as it isn't covered by insurance, and found out that she had billed my insurance too and had used medical codes that were completely unrelated to my procedure. When I confronted the office and questioned it, they told me that they didn't do the billing but would I like to talk to Dr Emad about it. I said yes and waited a few minutes. The office lady came back out and said that Dr Emad was busy but they would waive my $20 copay. What a joke. Pretty sure that is fraudulent. She didn't recommend PGT testing in my case, and instead transferred embryos on day 3 rather than day 5--choices that made all the difference. One embryo implanted, and it's the one that gave us this pregnancy. I know some reviews mention her being serious or not overly warm. But she's not here to hold your hand--she's here to help you succeed. She's not a miracle worker or a god. She applies her expertise and does what she believes gives you the best chance. Your body does the rest. I've seen some reviews criticizing her for telling patients to lose weight before proceeding. But honestly--what's wrong with that? Don't we want to be as healthy as possible for pregnancy? I personally lost 10 pounds in the months leading up to our transfer because I wanted to give my body the best chance. Dr. Ratcliffe doesn't sugarcoat things--but that's because she's focused on outcomes, not comfort. If you're looking for results over fluff, trust Dr. Ratcliffe. We're so grateful we did!

She listened to all my concerns and answered all my questions empathically. I am very assertive when it comes to my health care. I know how to advocate for myself. I felt that Dr. Khawaja really respected that. We had a phone appt on 3/20 for my pre-op, where she answered all my questions and prepared me for surgery. My next visit was surgery at Sutter Hospital on 3/27, which went incredibly smooth. Her whole Operating Team was great. At my 3 weeks post-op 4/15, she thoroughly went over all details of my surgery and provided pictures as well. She checked my incisions. We discussed further after care and healing/recovery expectations and timeline. Today was my 7 weeks post-op check, she did a pelvic exam and inquired how my recovery has been with pain and such. It was a brief visit but I felt overall she provided good care. I definitely trusted her with my health. I really appreciated her transparency and communication style. The lack of one star is for the wait time for each visit was over an hour. I know sometimes she can't help when visits go over time. I recommend scheduling appointments further apart.

IF YOU HAVE A BREECH BABY , PLEASE GO SEE DR. KURSS !!!…read more I just had an ECV flip done by Dr. Kurss and his team at Memorial Hospital. It was SUCCESSFUL and I am so happy with the care and plan that Dr. Kurss made for my partner and I. I had never met Dr. Kurss prior to being sent to him by my birth team. Due to baby being breech I wanted to opt for a safe option before scheduling a C section. Before the procedure I was able to meet with Dr. Kurss and discuss everything in detail, any concerns I had and questions. He ensured I was confident with the plan and we decided to go forward. I felt very comfortable , heard and respected. His explanations were thorough and to the point where I was able to get the exact answers I needed (this entire pregnancy I've been given so many "grey area" hit or miss answers by other providers that the way Dr. Kurss explained things was seriously appreciated). I was very happy that he went over my medical chart, talked about all different options and understood exactly what would be best for myself and baby. Day of procedure for ECV I was greeted (without even checking in myself!) within moments of entering the hospital. Once admitted, seen by Dr. Kurss and we discussed the plan again, double checked babies position and were ready to go. Myself and baby were monitored from the moment I got in that hospital bed to a couple hours after the procedure to ensure we were safe and healthy. Dr. Kurss had his partner help with the ECV and my baby was moved within SECONDS. They went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable (and my partner!) and the amount of relief I felt after the procedure was done was like no other. My partner and I are so grateful for Dr. Kurss and his team. I felt safe and cared for and the level of expertise made me feel confident I was in good hands. It was an experience that I was very scared for and it turned out to be incredible because of Dr. Kurss and his team. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!
