Want the feeling of being run over by a large group of moving humans? Then come to Lausanne train station. I lived in Lausanne for several months when first moving to Geneva, and dreaded the train station at rush hour. I always tried to put myself into the way of moving traffic, but I always seemed to get stuck in the opposite flow. For the large and growing town of Lausanne, this train station is well in need of a makeover. If Geneva, Nyon, and Gland get upgraded stations, then Lausanne definitely should. There are several places to eat and shop within the station, but nothing to compare with Geneva (and that isn't saying much). The only thing going for it is my favourite tea place - Teko tea. read more
