The Gardner/Fox TEAM were exceptional in the transformation of a dingy bathroom, mudroom and garage spaces. The team was diligent, dependable, extremely professional and highly talented from the outset to the completion. Outstanding communication and understanding of our aspirations for the spaces. To say the new areas are an absolute showstopper is an understatement--just incredible! What a great pleasure to have been involved with this team! read more

Gardner Fox did our kitchen renovation, and we were very pleased with the end result. First off, they completed the job on time. They predicted about 12 weeks from demo to completion, and things stayed on schedule. We were impressed that there was rarely downtime.   We hired them to design the space and do the construction. Their design team took our suggestions and put together beautiful plans, which we didn't make too many changes too. They suggested great fixtures, hardware, appliances etc and generally understood what our hopes were and put them into action.  When construction started we had a group chat with the project manager and site supervisor to keep lines of communication open. If we had questions, we could ask them and get answers quickly. We did hope to have more weekly check in meetings with our crew to avoid on the fly decisions, but schedules made that difficult.  Of course no contractor is perfect, and there were a few bumps here and there. But Gardner fox did a beautiful job in our kitchen, and they continue to be responsive when things come up. We would recommend them and use them again. read more

After we chose Gardner Fox 15 years ago for a complete first floor renovation, choosing them again for our upstairs repair and renovation was the obvious choice. We have been so impressed by their professionalism and the quality of their work. Any concerns were addressed immediately. They were well aware that we were living amongst the construction and took many steps to ensure that our living space was protected and kept clean. They took great care to comply with our unique needs and made sure that all details were completed to our wishes. They kept to their construction schedule and took care of all items on the punch list in a timely manner. The finished products are 2 beautiful, high quality bathrooms that our family will enjoy for years to come. read more

We are very happy with the work Gardner Fox completed on our home and would highly recommend them. They designed and built a two car garage along with a redesign of the driveway and infilling an old pool. All work was completed on schedule and we appreciated the on-site management, attention to detail and the timely correction of any issues. We expanded the project scope due to the high quality and efficiency of their work. read more

Gardner Fox has our strongest endorsement and recommendation! We did a complete home renovation with them 5 years ago and we could not be happier with the process and the results. After deciding to renovate our current house rather than move, we spoke to Mark Fox about the process and our desires for our renovation. He explained the process, and then sat down with us to develop plans for our "new" house. He and his team developed a beautiful plan based on our desires, our budget and the existing layout of our house. The Gardner Fox team's execution of the actual construction was equally as smooth and professional. We had heard many horror stories from similar undertakings with other companies, but Gardner Fox stuck to both the timeline and the budget! They were very responsive and kept us informed and involved every step of the way. Their follow up and warrantee process has been equally outstanding. As with any major undertaking like this, there will be issues that arise and Gardner Fox has stood by their work 100%. We could not be happier that we did the renovation and especially that we chose Gardner Fox to do the job! To this day my wife will randomly comment "I love our house!" read more

We had a very complicated Design/Build because our house was built in 1895 and the rear is set on a slope. I knew we needed an experienced architect/structural team for a safe and successful build and Gardner/Fox was well reputed with historic home renovations. My husband and I are both health care providers and we have three teenaged children (that are always hungry!) and a dog. We needed a comfortable, functional kitchen/family room for our family. Our project was very involved and finished about a year ago. Why am I writing this now?? Because now that our family is sheltering in place, we are even more appreciative of the beautiful design and function of our home. Our kids are doing their homework on our kitchen table with beautiful lighting, built in seating and windows that overlook the garden. Preparing ALL THESE MEALS in our kitchen is a pleasure - we cook a lot together - the kitchen and interior design team outdid themselves and were such a pleasure to work with. The cabinets from Glenbrook Cabinetry are lovely. And our adjacent family room is warm and cozy and cohesive. When we get back from the hospital, being greeted by a home we love to come home to makes all the difference. We knew we appreciated the final product before but wow, is it even better now that we are home all the time! And G/F is incredibly responsive if any questions arise - I always feel comfortable reaching out to this team. With gratitude..... read more

We have used several contractors in the Bryn Mawr chose Gardner Fox because we thought they had a first class reputation. We had a poor experience with the crew that did the work but would not write a poor review based on that. Now several years later, everything they did had to be redone and the person they send to help is terrible. We never written a bad review about anyone. read more

You need to think twice before hiring Gardner Fox. We had them complete a remodel of our home, project went significantly over and was mis-managed. 5 years later a window that was newly installed did not pass inspection and needs to be fully replaced. Gardner Fox has taken zero responsibility. read more

I couldn't agree more with the previous review. We hired this company to do a sunroom addition. It was and continues to be a disaster for us. We had leaking skylights, the cabinetry ordered was not sized properly, the dry wall is cracking, the wood floor has needed repair and the outside carpentry has been redone is areas. This firm was awful. After posting an unfavorable review, Mr. Fox from Gardner-Fox called me. I returned his call. In addition to chastising me for paying my bill after receiving credits for damage done during the project as well as cleaning that they did not complete, Mr. Fox told me I was ridiculous and unfair for posting the review. He then said, "Have a nice life." and hung up on me. I returned Mr. Fox's call in an effort to hopefully be reassured that they had changed their service model. Instead, I was treated rudely. Please ask Gardner-Fox to provide you with my name and phone number if you are considering them for a project. I will be happy to speak with you and show you the quality of their work. Mr. Fox seemed to me to be fixated on the fact that I did not call them back during the warranty period. In effect, we fired Gardner-Fox. Who would want a company to return to their home after such an awful experience? read more
