I used to trust Dr. Harris with my family's care, but my experience following a recent adjustment has left me deeply concerned and disappointed. After a routine adjustment in March, I suffered a stroke caused by a vertebral artery dissection--something the medical professionals treating me believe resulted from that adjustment. I have no family history or risk factors for stroke. I am only 35 years old, with a husband and five children, and the impact this has had on my health (mental and physical), independence, and family life has been life-altering. What's even more troubling is what followed the extremely painful neck adjustment. Dr. Harris performed stroke assessments immediately after the adjustment because of the pain it caused but failed to document this in my medical records. When I asked for a transparent explanation and a complete record of that visit, I was told I would not receive any further written communication. Despite our long-standing patient-provider relationship, my concerns were met with dismissal and a refusal to take responsibility or engage in meaningful conversation. This experience has been not only traumatic and life altering but deeply disappointing coming from someone I once trusted with my health. I share this in hopes that others will seriously consider both the risks involved and the response I received before seeking care here. Because they were never able to fit me in with my work schedule for one thing. For the other the doctor so called chiropractor could never and I mean never even adjust my back. I went there with immediate need and pain and all I got was a huge pamphlet some pretty pictures and 12 months and they'd make me better. I was never able to accomplish any of those things. And now they expect me to pay the bill of $2,300. I would not recommend these people if they were the only chiropractors in the Treasure Valley.
