It's free after 6 pm. - This store closes at 9 pm on weeknights, 8 pm on Saturdays, and 7 pm on Sundays. Last Wednesday, I drove straight from work to Peterborough to attend a performance. It took me almost three hours to get from Mississauga to Peterborough. Traffic during rush hour isn't the greatest. I thought that I'd be able to walk down a block to Market Hall Performing Arts Centre to check in and use the washroom. Nope, the bladder screamed attention. I was parked on the street, steps away from this Mr Sub. It was time to use the washroom, but to order something so that I could use it. I walked in. I got a nice woman who was behind the counter with a man. I ordered a small rib sub. She asked what bread I wanted. Without any hesitation, I said mozza-cheddar. I am officially a regular Mr Sub person when I don't even need to think about the bread. It could also been my bladder making the decision for me. I asked the woman if I could use the washroom. She said yes, but my order would have to wait. I had no problem with it. My bladder was priority. The washroom was a single stall. Roomy. Wheelchair-accessible. It was clean. My bladder was happy. So was I. I headed back and said that it took me three hours to get to Peterborough, so the bladder needed immediate attention. I made the woman laugh after thanking her for her patience. I got a bunch of veggies loaded into my sub, along with rib sauce. I wanted this sub to go. I had to leave it in my car, as I didn't have time to devour it before the show. Luckily, I was still stuffed from a good lunch. I paid with a credit card. I tapped and was good. I thanked the woman and left. My sub stayed safely in my car. It was the best move to get dinner and leave it in my car. I didn't realize until after the performance that this store was closed at 9 pm. The performance also ended at this time. It's a bit of a bummer that it closed so early. I would love a sub shop that stayed open a bit longer. I had my sub once I got back to Markham. It was delicious. The rib meat hit the spot with crunchy cucumbers, lettuce, and green peppers. Mozza-cheddar bread was awesome. The rib sauce was the right amount. It didn't ooze out with every bite, but you could taste the smokiness off it. Part of me regretted not getting a large sub. I ended up hitting a McDonald's afterwards for an iced coffee and apple slices, so I ended up with a complete combo after all! I'm glad that I stopped by. My bladder was also pleased. Here's hoping that I don't do this trip again from work, but I do get to drop by this Mr Sub again for more good eats. (446)

It's a shame that I can't give more stars because the subs here are fresh, bountiful and delicious…read more But the customer service is sad and depressing. You can drive all the way across town to support this Canadian business (always important to do) but, you, the vital customer, will be treated as an inconvenience. And the customer service is not just bad once, but every time. They come across as irritated and defeated all at once. You can cut the depressed state with a knife. The restaurant is updated but it is always kept dark and cold. It's like finding a great sandwich in a gothic tomb. Too bad.
