The…read moreaccommodations are about what you would expect with the exception that the keys didn't really work and we had to do some interesting things to get to our rooms. It was very disappointing that the bar/restaurant does not open until 11 AM. It would have been nice to have some sort of a quick breakfast before you tee off early in the morning. We found out after we booked the stay and play that the members have priority for early teetimes. Tuesday is the owners play so you have to wait for them. And the women's group gets out in front. Not to mention, we got bumped back on our tee time because a group just walked up and teed off in front of us. Then the starter shoved a twosome in front of us. We were supposed to play 36 holes that day and we only played 27. But we found out later in the day talking to some other stay and play groups, they had teetimes at 7:30 and 8 AM. Otherwise the course is pretty fun. Great shape. There's some offsite restaurants and sports bars that are not far they were fun. Probably won't go back. But just beware.

We did live an hour from Tyler for a few years before but wanted closer access to Tyler since we loved it so much. We chose Eagles Bluff as our forever home and are ecstatic to have found it! Also we have found so many transplants here from 'other' states as well who feel the way we do!! It's a lovely quiet neighborhood with friendly residents and staff, but also is an easy drive to Tyler for a good variety of shopping and eating at so many fabulous restaurants!! Plus there's an abundance of great doctors there as well. The golfers seem happy with that; I just enjoy watching them across the pond from our backyard.
