My father passed away recently. He was a patient at Garden Springs in June 2024. The place was horrible. My father did not receive good care here. He came here for rehabilitation due to pulmonary fibrosis. His health started to decline here, and he was removed from the center. He was not provided with the care he needed. I had to drive to the center he was at before to get his c pack. They did not provide him with one. He went to Abington Hospital due to a lack of care here. He was put into incentive care there. A nurse removed his oxygen, and it was honestly too difficult for my father to recover after that. I am. My father felt unsafe here. My mom kept them on their toes there. I believe if she wasn't there every day, he would have died in this place. Do not send you love one here. They will not get the care they need. The place is very old, the food is terrible. There is not enough help. The nurses are overworked. There is not enough help. read more

I will forever be haunted by placing my brother here for hospice care. I did see the reviews but we had run out of options. I had hoped that being close and with visiting often would help with his quality of care. Sadly not to be. He called me crying that he didn't feel safe. The staff was none existent. Food horrendous. The toilet leaked and after two reports and apparent repairs it still was leaking leaving my brother to walk in sewer water every time he used the bathroom. I pray for the residents who live there, no person should live their days on earth in such a horrendous place. How can we let our fellow citizens be subjected to such conditions. We are living in a sad time when this becomes acceptable. You can be sure that the corporation that owns this facility would NEVER send someone they loved here. read more

I was here two years ago. I am a quadriplegic. This was the worst place that I could've ever been. I didn't know that I had to be propped and turned so I wouldn't get sores. They've gave me size of a softball on my lower back, due to negligence. I got osteomy latest in my heel due to negligence. This place just felt like a black hole and I was afraid that I was gonna die here. My family fought for me to get out of this place because if they didn't I would've died. I had such a bad UTI infection I was hallucinating for months. I was here for probably seven months. When they sent me another nursing home, I showed up septic. I was on IV for six weeks because I was so sick. They didn't change me, they didn't brought me, I would ask people for help and they would just keep walking. Or they would say that they weren't my aid. I don't care whose age you are if you're working this of job, if you are an aid you should help a person if they need help. Especially a quadriplegic that can't help their self. I thought so alone and lost. There was times were I wouldn't speak to Family and friends for months. All I kept thinking about was my daughter and how I was gonna get out of this to get home to her. I was 100 pounds and I am 5 foot seven. Please don't send a loved one here! No nursing home is the best, but this place tries their hardest to provide the best care they can to the patients.

Great people working here but the service stinks today's 23 December and they didn't have pain meds for me when I got here. It took him three days to get my pain meds and they said my pain meds only last for three days so with the other pills that I'm supposed to get and we took them a day to get me a wheelchair and when I lifted up the cushion on the wheelchair, they had shit under it. read more

I wish I had done more research before allowing my father to be placed there from Chestnut Hill Hospital. They delivered nothing of what was promised. First he was supposed to get dialysis there and when he arrived and they found out he was not long term care they transported him off the grounds. . When he first arrived my brother reported they assigned him to a room in their long term care section that smelled so bad my brother was ready to take him home. They put him in another room however there was little interaction and he hated the food. No matter how many times we informed he did not like rice they served every day. They did not even provide a wash cloth and towels we had to bring them from home. Patients seem to just wander in the halls. After a few days their manager informed that insurance would no longer pay and gave us two days in which there was no coordination of home care or was I ever provided a consultation with the doctor. As a matter of fact I did not see a doctor present. The office staff is wholly incompetent and my dad has been home for five days now and we still have not heard from anyone concerning home health or follow up. This place is horrible. I am in the process of getting my father removed from here. The staff is lazy, the food they serve is dam near equivalent to dog food. I constantly order my Dad food only for it to go missing. Either the staff is stealing it or giving it ti the wrong residents. I wouldn't wish this kind of treatment on my worst enemy. My Father hasn't received any rehab treatment in months. They keep saying the rehab physician quit. Why not hire another one? But they'll blow your phone up every month to make the payments for his care. It's truly insane! read more

My daughter has been at Garden Spring Willow Brook, PA for two months. In that time she has not had her hair washed or a bed bath. If she gets her teeth brushed and face washed that is a good day. The food is terrible. Most CNA's are callous. There is little supervision of nursing staff. The facility keeps getting citations but nothing changes. They are meeting minimum requirement at best. I don't know how the place stays open. read more

My Dad was a patient at the Garden Springs Nursing Center in Willow Grove in June 2021. My Dad was sent there from the Abington hospital for he had ascites, liver cancer and cirrhosis and sepsis and was in ESLD. My Dad was going there for s short term rehab stay for he was very weak. My mom had arranged that Garden Springs escort my Dad to the VA hospital and had spoken to several staff members at the rehab ctr and the center neglected to take my Dad to his cancer treatment for they never set up transportation. We were getting of the train at 30 street station in Phila to meet my Dad at the hospital while Garden Springs was calling us on the phone to see if we were picking my Dad up from their rehab center for his cancer treatment. After that point we realized that the Rehab Center was not competent and we discharged my Dad right away from this place. My older brother picked my Dad up at the Rebab center and took him for his cancer treatment. We brought my Dad home on hospice care and we all cared for him at home until he passed away in July 2021. My mom spoke to the Rehab endlessly about my Dad's cancer treatment appt and we even gave them a print out of the appt info, date, address, location, time and what my Dad was getting treatment for. My Dad had told me while he was at this center that they simply do not have enough staff to help their patients. My dad was drinking water out of the bathroom sink. I told my Dad do not do that for call the nurse and ask the nurse/aide for a cup of water w/ ice in it. My Dad dressed himself, fed himself and was basically independent and he certainly of sound mind. During COVID we were not allowed back to my Dad's room so we cannot say what that looked like but the hallways, lobby and dining room could certainly use a good thoroughly cleaning! My Dad said that the food was not that good at all so we were bringing him food in. I cannot speak about the Rehab for I'm not sure that my Dad actually received any rehab while there for her was only there for a few days. It's very important if you decide to place your loved one in one of these facilities whether short term or long term that a family member is assigned to be your loved ones health care advocate and to over their care. Family involvement is most pivotal in these situations. be involved, be there, and be on top of things for if not your loved ones will have a negative experience. Your loves need and deserve a healthcare advocate. We all deserve a good quality of life and life w/ meaning and purpose, respect and care. read more

Garden Spring Center 1113 Easton Rd, Willow Grove, PA Tricia K GARDEN SPRINGS IS DREADFUL!!!! My aunt is an unfortunate resident there and her care over the past 2 years has been out right criminal. She is unable to move about on her own. She needs help with almost all of her personal needs, toileting, eating, etc. Many times she has asked for a nurse/aid to assist her to the bathroom. They told her to go in her "diaper" and they'll clean her later. Well, later - is many many hours later. My sister recently visited her (about 2 wks ago) and the smell in her room was awful. More fowl than usual. After a few minutes, my aunt said, "Oh, oh!? My sister said what's wrong? She answered, "I did No. 2 again !!" My sister said, "What do you mean again? My aunt replied, "I went No. 2 yesterday evening and they still haven't changed me yet." This was at 2:00 pm the following day. My sister said to push for the nurse. My aunt quickly said "NO" they'll be mad. Needless to say my sister pushed for the nurse and there was no response. She went to the nursing station right outside the room and there was NO ONE at the nurses station and NO STAFF anywhere on the entire floor. THAT IS CRIMINAL!!!! They should be SHUT DOWN for absolute negligence. In the past 6 months my sister wrote 2 scathing reviews on Garden Spring Center's site with 1 star reviews which never got posted. She called the center and asked why her reviews weren't showing up. She was told that it takes 48 hrs for reviews to post. Well it's 6 mos later and they still never posted. This is the reason - because no real review will be positive and they prevent them from being seen. PLEASE DO NOT PUT YOUR LOVED ONE IN THIS FACILITY. THE STAFF ARE MEAN SPIRITED AND NEGLIGENT - THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR PATIENTS.. THIS PLACE IS HORRID AND NEEDS TO BE INVESTIGATED. read more
