Due to the cancer mass on my fathers throat he has a speech impediment which is disabling his ability to speak fluently. Instead of properly accessing the situation the owner decided to accuse my father of being drunk, attacked him in front of customers, and removed him from the store while he was trying to purchase a grave blanket for his mother who passed away. This is not only disgusting, but not how you treat paying customers. I recommend no one give this store the time of day.

I built the porch a few years ago with supplies that I purchased from The Stone Center in Bridgewater, NJ. They had the wall stone, cap stones, pavers, sand and masonry adhesive I needed. Their products are beautifully displayed outside the office at their location, making choosing simple. They delivered the materials to my work site. What disappointed me about The Stone Center is their computer lacked information about my porch supplies when I returned to buy my walk supplies. In the interest of time we tried to match paver color I used, from a photo on my phone. Big mistake. It did not match. As it turns out I like the new color better than the old but I wanted a seamless match. I also find that The Stone Center's prices are high. Many new and unknowledgeable customer service people are now working there. What I like about The Stone Center is they have a great selection; huge inventory and they sell all of the tools and accessories you need. Their delivery drivers are top notch.

Maria took all of the time needed to choose the best design and layout with our space, and tried to incorporate everything on our wishlist. Her attention to detail was great and offered some very helpful solutions that we originally did not think of. When the design was complete we were provided complete blueprints for our contractor and a digital rendering of the space that was very accurate to the final product. Delivery of the cabinets was not an issue and delivery staff was very professional and careful with moving the cabinets into our home. The couple small issues with the cabinets were quickly resolved over the phone with Maria. Overall, I highly recommend Tewksbury Kitchens & Bath for remodel projects!

I have only shopped at this store a few times in the last year or so as the hours (11 am - 6 pm) at that time were not the most convenient. Have never seen anyone else in the store. The second experience was such a turn off that I would not recommend this shop to anyone. I was not made aware of their return policy until after I made a purchase. The policy is not prominently displayed in store (see photo) and so it was only visible once I opened the link in the text message of the receipt. Items have to be returned within 10 days and even then are only eligible for a store credit. Never experienced any store having such an unreasonable and inflexible return policies. I returned several items within the required time frame totaling around $68, and asked the store to make an exception to get my money back and not a store credit as I was not made aware of the return policy until after I bought the items. The clerk said the machine is not set up to do that. I asked her again to make an exception and she says she had to contact .the owner, to which I said fine. They were on the phone for several minutes as the owner had to know the items returned, which seemed weird as why should that matter? The owner refused to refund my money, so now I have a gift card for a store I don't wish to shop in because of they way they treat their customers. But they had their goods back in a timely manner that they can resell. Seems fair, right? I initiated a credit card dispute ruth my credit card company which I am waiting to be resolved. Such a waste of time.

Me: (After looking around, chatting with staff, generally having a good time at a hardware store)…read more"Why does anyone go to Home Depot!?" Califon Lumber employee: "...Masochism?" Let me clarify. I am somewhat new to the area, living down the street for about 3.5 years, but have been to this store many, many times. And for great reason. I have dabbled in the DIY. I built a chicken coop. I refinished furniture. I plant a small garden every summer. I was going to Hackettstown to go to their Home Depot. I got lost at said Home Depot. I did not find answers there. I was a sad shell of a DIYer. When you go to Califon Lumber, you do not only get all of the same supplies you were looking for at Home Depot, but you get helped by some awesome neighbors who are legit knowledgeable and helpful. They will not only mix you paint but help you when you have questions about what kind of paint you need. They will walk you through what kind of lumber you need. They will help you find the small hardware you need for a project. I am surely a small customer for them-they have local contractors coming for pick ups while I'm there buying two small pieces of pine lumber for a furniture remodel-but they give me the time of day and then some. Shout out to delivery Dave. This man delivers all of the things. Stone gravel, a pallet of rock salt, a bunch of lumber. He is great. Thanks Dave. So why go to Home Depot? Lowes, too. Any of those places. I count Amazon in here as well, though I guess not having to put pants on to shop counts for something. I don't know why you would if you live in this area. Califon Lumber has everything you need at a hardware store, at BETTER prices (I've checked), without feeling like like you lost part of your soul while shopping-better yet feeling accomplished and like you made a purchase from some good, helpful friends. Califon Lumber is just another one of the amazing gems of this small town that surely doesn't exist in most of New Jersey. A perfect small town spot that I saved to review for my 300th Yelp review. Cheers.
