There is a big selection of potted flowers, herbs and other plants. Italian pesto and other sauces, fresh fish and pork. Coffee and juice, crepes, organic cleaning products etc. The highlight here for me is the pastry and the pies! The pie man has a booth here and they truly are the best pies I've ever had, nice selection of chicken, beef, veg, so much flavor. Big pie that is enough to fill you up, just 5€ (heated up for 6€) The pastry is also fab, lots of tarts, Danish, croissants, cookies, brownies, bread and more. All of which are delicious. Big enclosed venue (next to Teeling), so it's weather proof, and you can even bring your dog inside! Lots of friendly vendors and delicious food and drink. So lucky to have this place so close to home, it's now our Saturday tradition to get coffee and pastry, and pies to take home. There's a seating area if you want to eat in, too. Definitely worth stopping by, it's quite a market!

It stocks a huge selection of in season fruit and veg, most of it sourced locally. As well as salad vegetables, dried fruits, nuts, seeds, it offers a Mediterranean selection bar of olives, sun dried tomatoes, sauces, pesto, oils and cheeses. A healthy deli section of cold cuts, cheese and spreads. A dried food area of pasta, noodles, rices and the like. Lots of pulses and beans and different types of flour and grains. But my favourite bit is the rich, sumptuous, organic HEALTHY chocolate bar selection! The owner is very friendly and works in the store and is seen polishing his apples and carrying creates of fresh produce which arrives daily! I used to go to a fruit picking place near Lusk, which has since closed so we decided to find somewhere new: the only place we could source was Lamberts Fruit Farm. Near Rathfarnham/the Merry Ploughboy Pub, Lamberts is really easy to find - although you do have to drive down some very suspect 'roads' i.e. country lanes that you could barely fit a bike down. Be warned if you're driving something bigger than mymy baby Opel! Once there, you are given buckets and free to pick as you like! Pricing is done by weight with raspberries and tayberries [didn't know what these were but they taste like perfume/pot pourri!] at a low price level and strawberries at a higher price point. We got a near full bucket of raspberries for €8, a lot cheaper than a supermarket, and had really good fun walking around the fields in the process. This place would be great for families, the kids around us seemed to love it, and us two big kids were in our element as well. Not a bad Sunday afternoon!

There's a wonderful small farmers market on site but the restaurant is warm and cosy from the outset. I've been a number of times and it's really hard to go wrong with their wonderful menu. Evergreens offers the usual in the way of fruit and veg, apart from some very large mushrooms which aren't the norm (I'm sure they're ok to eat though!) There are also some gourmet goodies available near the counter, including roasted peppers, cute basil breadstick snacks and award winning baileys and white chocolate fudge.
