I called this company because my garage door would not close and it was after dark on 10/31/25.Although they advertise for being a 24 hour service, they scheduled me for 8am-10am. I had just sold my house and needed this done quickly.The repair man spoke with a heavy accent and was not very understandable.He replaced the garage door opener.He also replaced the wheels ( which I didn't need) and put a code box outside the garage(also not needed)After paying $1622.00 and less then 2 weeks, my garage door will not open.Again it is in the evening when I have to put out the garbage .Again no 24 hour service as advertised.I give it 1 star read more

I had excellent service from ZEI. This young man diagnosed my broken cable and main board issue and had my door fixed in same day. This service was same day they came out within an hour and everything was done quickly. It's nice to a see a young man who knows his job from "soup to nuts". He helped me program my new garage door with my phone. Now my wife and I can open the garage with our phones before we pull in with groceries! I didn't even know there was blue tooth garage doors. You can also open garage from out of state to let neighbors and or fire fighters in etc. Price was cheaper than me buying a new door from home depot. I highly recommend asking for "ZEI" and using this company for your garage door repair and going with liftmaster garage door opener. 5year warranty too. Horrible experience. The installer tore holes into the ceiling during installation, didn't tell us, and left, hopping we wouldn't notice the massive holes in our ceiling. We had to chase them down to fix the holes, which they tried to deny being responsible for. Since then, the door has never worked properly, eventually failing completely less than six months after the installation. Additionally, they will only communicate through text messages, and the receptionist responsible for handling issues never responds. You have to constantly hound them for a response and to schedule repairs. They also insist we are responsible for the cost of the service and repairs, despite still being under warranty. The tech they sent out was pushy, intimidating and frankly scared me. I told him I was going to get other quotes and he would not leave my house. Five quotes later he finally left. He also tried to use scare tactics to get me to use their company, telling me it was dangerous to only replace the springs, total lie, the next company told me it was what actually needed to be done. I called their office to tell them about their tech scaring me and intimidating me, they said they'd have a manager call me back, shocker, that never happened. They also charged me a service charge for doing nothing but giving me a very false and high estimate. When I questioned that, they told me an estimate counts as a service. Save yourself the stress. Do not trust this company. ***update*** The business owner is an absolutely not professional. He will not apologize for his employees actions but he will apologize for your feeling. SCAM ALERT! My elderly parents' garage door broke today. This company came and told them they need a new door. They don't. I called within 10 minutes of the techs leaving their house to cancel the order. First the receptionist told me that she couldn't find the manager to cancel (LOL). Then the manager called, pretended like he didn't know what was going on, and said "There's no refunds". LOL! They charged us a $2200 deposit that we cancelled immediately and they are saying they can't refund it! So sad to see how shady this company's practices are. Will be leaving reviews everywhere. Very quick response, initially bent over and adjusted the sensor near the floor that got the door working. Then tried to sell me roller service and spring tension test. Told him I didn't have time today, dinner reservations. He said it would only take 20 minutes. Cost would be $450! Said no thanks . Then in addition to $78 service call tried to charge me $195 for the 15 seconds it took to adjust the sensor near the floor. Told him "no way" so he went over and bent it back like it was. This company sent out a sub contractor. It was quick service. Nothing else good to say about them. We needed a new opener. So, the guy came and identified the problem. We gave the ok for approval after some discussion. He came back 30 minutes later after a quick trip to after he bought the cheapest garage door available. The cost for 2 hours work including the trip to Home Depot was over $1,100. The opener he installed was $179, the cheapest they have at Home Depot. I had asked if the opener he was installing would have a motion detector light. He said yes. Not true. We had recently installed a garage door opener in Michigan. The cost was a little more than $700 for a much superior set up in terms of function and use. Just a better opener, better key pad, better remotes. A comparable Liftmaster as the one we had installed in Michigan would be $250-$350. The installer did not tape or secure the wiring in any way. Just twisted it and left it. This is not a case where you get what you pay for. We overpaid by a good measure and got a cheap product and a slip shod installation. Our installation was the first week of November. I never got a call back when I left a message as to our dissatisfaction. Buyer beware. I would not recommend this company. read more

Just want to give a shout out to ASAP Garage Doors. We had a bad sensor on our door and called to see when they could come. We called them at about 10:45 and they were here by 1:30. The service tech checked everything out and agreed that it was a bad sensor. He had the part with him and had it fixed in just a few minutes. They were very professional and the cost was reasonable. I called and they said $150-210 for lift springs. I had them come out and do the job. I expected it was the $210 springs. They found a missing bearing, and said 2 were failing and charged me $58 each for bearings (you can buy them for $10 at big box store) I understand they need to make a profit, but later I found they charged me $218 2 lift cables, most expensive ones I could find on internet were $20 a pair. that is robbery. Outstanding service! My garage door broke on a Friday afternoon and I called garage door ASAP service to see when they could come repair it. They came out Saturday morning at 9:00 a.m. on the dot! Their technician was extremely polite, professional, and fast! He replaced the cables and the tracks of my door in less than 1 hour and did a magnificent job. When you call the number you will reach a professional, and knowledgeable person on the phone who will schedule you. You will receive text messages and emails advising you all the way of the time the technician will arrive. This type of customer service and professionalism is rare these days and I'm very impressed with this company and their employees. Garage door springs was repaired today. Over the phone price was completely different then technician estimates. Technician did not have ladders to preform work. He did ask me to provide ladder for him (not professional). After he completed job door did not working properly. He did apply some toxic lubricant on springs and garage door opener frame, but I guess he don't know about lubrication, because that toxic lubricants was dripping all over. In questions about door operations tech give some answers that just showed that he have very limited knowledge. Would not recommend that company!!! read more

Called this company for service call garage door would not open. They said we needed new spring for 1600.00 and some other repairs for additional 900.00. Told us we had to sign to get parts ordered. Had me sign a tablet. The tablet was a contract that said they did work and I was satisfied. Fees for service charge and they want credit card. We called the garage door original installers as it is only a year old house. They told me the cost is no more than 375.00. We told them ASAP to leave. He changed his price and said we can do it for 375.00 for each spring. Which it should be 375.00 for both springs. They put all kinds of fees two service fees and fees for using credit card on their bills. This company will steal you blind and lie to you. I told them to get off my property or I would call police. Should be charged with crimes against seniors and I will report to better business bureau for sure. read more

Total rip off company. Quoted me $150.00-$220.00 to replace broken assist spring. Charged me $978.00 including $250.00 for a replacement cable as well as $310.00 for 2 brackets to attach the door to the opener. This was needed because they didn't put the correct bracket on when they installed the new opener less than 2 years ago. When i initially contacted this service I explained the balance concern I had with my garage door and that I may need an adjustment or new springs. I was told by the company service an adjustment or new springs would run between $160-220. When they showed up they had adjusted the tension on the springs but said it was as high as it could go. Since my door is heavy with insulation panels they suggested new springs, they said one spring would be the same and the other would be stronger. I asked if both springs had to be the same tension capacity and they said no, it was ok if each spring was a different tension. Now the bad part. The guys who showed up gave me a quote for $503, much higher than my conversation with the company. They said it included an $85 service call fee plus $198 for one spring and $220 for the other spring bring the total price to $503!!! Since we had only one day available to fix this, I told them to go ahead. They also adjusted the tension on my belt and fixed the sensors. When it came time to pay, they wanted to charge me an extra 3% fee for using a cc to pay. They said cash or check to avoid the fee. Lastly, they noticed I was changing the rollers out to new improved ones and he said that "I was doing it wrong". So I asked what am I doing wrong (particularly the last roller) and he would not tell me, he said he needed to be paid for advice or help. At this point after paying them $503, I said that he just burned any bridges and I would not use them or recomend them to anyone again. So, please heed my advice and look somewhere else. read more

What began as a standard service repair call has turned into a nightmare. The garage door wasn't opening, occasionally due to the chain coming off the track. The service man "A.B.", recommended installation of a new garage door opener, $750 later the door now opens. Unfortunately, A.B. gave up when he couldn't figure out how to program the keypad to the new motor, and left. The motor retails for less than $300. After a 2nd visit to fix the keypad, A.B. once again couldn't figure out how to program the unit and left acting like it was our fault for not agreeing to spend another $150. The part literally costs $30 on Amazon. How/why wasn't it included in the cost of the motor? We tried emailing to give them a chance to make things right with zero response. he general consensus is this feels like the rep took total advantage of the situation. Would not recommend. read more

So I just had my tension springs replaced about 2.5 years ago, so I called to same company and the guy that replaced them said that is normal. They only have a 1 year warranty. I called ASAP Services and the gentleman explained he has a 3 year warranty and can take care of the problem right away. When you pushed the button for our garage door you could hear the motor run but the chain wouldn't move. Garage Door ASAP came to repair it. They never took the cover off to see what was wrong...they simply said the motor wasn't working and we needed a new opener for the price of $850.00. I told them I could hear the motor running so the motor couldn't be dead. They insisted the motor was not working. I happened to have a young man at the house fixing my solor light and he overheard the conversation. He called me in to talk to me and said "they are scamming you and I can fix that door after they leave". I got rid of Garage Door ASAP, after they continued to argue with me, and then they tried to make a deal for a new opener. They were going to give a discount! I asked them to leave. They charged me $85.00 service charge and when they left they immediately cashed the check. The young man who was working on the solor light then opened the case to the garage door opener and found a belt had fallen off and therefore it could not turn the chain. I called this company based on the number of positive Google reviews they had. I should have known by the first call that this was not the right company. The gal that set the appointment asked what time would work for me. I stressed over and over again, that if it was the next day, they had to be gone by 11:45. I had another appointment. She assured me they would be. They of course showed up at 11:30 provided me a quote and said they could not get the work done in 15 minutes. They WAY overcharged. That is my fault. I should have done my homework. Two base model garage door openers and new rollers for $2200. OUCH. I told Remi the sales rep the most important thing was WiFi capability. The installer showed up, hurt himself, almost passed out and had to call another installer. They did not install Wi-Fi. I called to complain and was told that I had to pay for an install an adapter myself at a cost of $120 and install it on my own. I forced the issue and they agreed to come back out. They missed the first follow up appointment and when they showed up to add the adapter, the wired it wrong, shorted me a door module and I had to call Genie to correct the wiring.
