Overall first time experience is pretty good. I decided to share a few starters with my girlfriend. We had the calamari, cheese sticks, bruschetta and a onion soup. Everything was very tasty and to my satisfaction, I'll definitely come back again. Also the drinks aren't very expensive, I had a pint of Cheval Blanc and it was only 6$ my girlfriend had a bloody Cesar and it cost 5.50 so not very pricey. Definitely loud but that's to be expected because it is mostly like a bar and not "cafe" as promoted in the company name.

Great place to come eat. My boyfriend and i got a bunch of appetizers we got cheese sticks, onion soup, bruschetta, and calamari and it was all fantastic and not expensive at all! Cute little place i went sunday night almost all seats were taken but it was still pleasant it wasn't to loud or crowded. Waitresses are very nice, the food came fast. Very happy to come to garage cafe for a date night!

Takeout menu + hours for Covid times! Support them!! They rock, amazing food and prices.

I'm particular about my fries, preferring them to be on the crunchy side, but that's because I like texture with every bite. Compared to other fries I've had, these definitely past the test in pairing with the burgers. They also serve beers on draft, along with a ton of options that aren't the typical soda options. They seemed to be intentional with their options, which I appreciate. I'd say this place has a lot of potential of being the burger and late night spot in Verdun, given that they close at 10PM and have more options than just burgers and fries, but also a chicken sandwich, salad, different kinds of fries and poutine, along with different kinds of sweet drink options such as frappes, limonades, wine, and even cocktails! I'd say if there was a place of opportunity, without getting into the nitty gritty details that I typically care to comment on, I'd say it'd be the lighting. It's so bright, almost hospital like. My suggestion is to go with warmer and less lights. Definitely check out Joyo, but bring a pair of sunglasses, just in case.

I was visiting the nearby Atwater market and couldn't resist stopping in for a pre-dinner snack…read moreafter having heard praise for its poutine. The space was completely empty around 6 PM -- this is a small, local greasy spoon that opens at 4 pm but really does most of its business in the late night/morning hours. The poutines are offered in five different sizes ranging from mini to familiale -- I got the mini ($8.50, tax included) and it was the perfect portion for one (particularly if pairing with another item), with just the right fries, sauce, and cheese curd ratios. This was actually my first time trying an Italian (bolognese) poutine and I loved it and may very well gravitate towards it again in the future. Traditional poutine gravies can be very hit or miss to me and often too salty, but I really enjoyed the acidity from the tomatoes and the rich, comforting flavors of the ground meat in the sauce. The fries were warm and tender, while the curds had both good flavor and texture. I'd asked for the sauce on the side because I meant to take this to the waterfront to enjoy, but stopped a few feet from the restaurant to sample at peak freshness, and ended up demolishing it there in the space of a couple of minutes (including every last drop of sauce). Cash only and not much to speak of in terms of service, but your order is prepared right in front of you and it was nice to watch the woman behind the counter carefully package my takeout order and layer the fried-to-order fries and curds. Essentially, this isn't the kind of gourmet poutine you'll see recommended on a bunch of travel blogs, but it is pure comfort food, and Restaurant AA delivers on all the aspects you'd want it to.

The staff are pretty nice, I've only had the cheeseburgers, fries and chocolate milk-shakes and all of them were great. Not a lot of stuff on their menu but what they do offer, they do it well. If you need a burger fix, this place is far better than McDonalds.

The seats on the floor were pretty slippery but maybe because this place is new! O V E R A L L Q U A L I T Y We tried a little bit of everything tonight! It definitely is great at burgers, but the fries were skinny and crunchy, not my favorite... I got the Simple Uniburger with pickles, bacon and fried onions. The burger was moist and juicy and it was a wonderful burger! I didn't really taste the fried onions so that's upsetting. But delicious burger! I recommend! The poutine gravy was good, but there wasn't much of it... It needed more gravy and more cheese! The fries were also really crunchy which didn't make the poutine yummy, unfortunately. If you enjoy less gravy and crunchy fries go for it... But it's not for me. C O S T Dinner for two was about $40! We didn't try the milkshakes though!
