Their numerous emails I received daily indicated that if I ordered by March 26th, I would receive the order in time. I not only didn't receive it in time for Easter, but I didn't receive it until the two Mondays after Easter. The agent 'kindly' gave me what I thought was a $15 credit on my account. When I went on to spend the credit, I found out it was in fact a coupon for $15 off, that I could not combine with other offers. I'm irate! I think this is terrible customer service!!

She went there to buy some clothes and take advantage of a special sale which included a free reindeer and book. Right after she pays the woman tells her it's too late to get the free gift. That she needed to spend 1 more dollar! The woman, as they do in all stores, should have said something. There was nothing posted and then the woman says it's too late we can't re-ring everything. Are you kidding me? My wife should have immediately returned everything but she was so mad she walked out with the purchase. I just think it's unprofessional and sad that a company as large as Carters can't be honest and upfront about things like this. Horrible store and although we live close by and buy a lot we will not go back. I'll go to another store but not this one.

So you can only imagine how I looked like a deer in head lights when I walked into Carter's. In general I prefer Ralph Lauren but Carter's had a wider and better selection, also everything was 50% off and those who know me know that I am a sucker for a sale. I was a little disappointed that my checking in did not lead to me getting a coupon or discount offer of any kind but alas the shopping had to be done. After meandering for what seemed like hours I put a respectable pile of clothing on the counter. The lady (I forget her name but I am referring to the lady who has a daughter) was gracious enough to point out that I had picked out too many newborn sizes. She shared that babies only wear those sizes for a week tops so it was not the best buy. I switched those outfits out for bigger sizes and was happy that she had shared this tip with me. She also shared which onies were to better to get because they could be worn inside and outside and it was all helpful. As far as the store its self the layout is good because all the boys stuff is on one side while the girls stuff is on the other side. A suggestion would be to have a section for gender neutral clothing for those who do not know the gender yet. In addition I found that there were many "boys" items that said "mommy's little boy" while there were many "girls items that said "daddy's little girl". Why not have equal quantities and a mix? This may have been due to low inventory but it seemed to be a general trend that it was boys with moms and girls with dads. In any event I recommend this place and will return.
