For starters my DM was the worst to work for, I was pregnant on restrictions. My restrictions were never enforced. Resulting in a preterm baby not breathing on his own and hemorrhaging. My last day before having the baby was Absult BS. I didn't get my 6 weeks of LOA to spend with my baby because I was still contacted left and right with issues arising. The company strives on this "mental health matters to us" yet i reached out to multiple people of management with mental health issues needing a mental health day it was never given, it was laughed off as " don't we all" We are required to work alone, which should be a safety issue. Resulting in me falling off a ladder at work and getting extremely hurt, don't required me to be off work instead my boss forced me to come back immediately and continue to work alone. There is issues with leaking in the store that I addressed multiple times with my boss and she never did a thing about it. Resulting in one of my associates slipping and falling. Reach out to my boss and her response " can I call you later" I had a tumor which I was seeking treatment for, i was expected to miss an appointment to take photos my boss her response " well you need to get there and take them" They are an " equal opportunity employer " I wanted to hire a very sweet girl that had special needs and worked in retail previously to my bosses response "if she can't ring on the register we can't hire her" This right here is a reason to not work for this company or do business with the children's place. Let me tell you text receipts do not lie with the level of abuse I experienced at this company.

You'll find clothing, shoes, videos, books, furniture, electronics, housewares, health items, etc. I didn't think the prices were fair on some things that were really junky, but after asking the woman at the register, I found out that items are donated and all of the proceeds go towards the Boys & Girls Club. That wasn't clear at all, and I would not have known that if I wasn't true to my outgoing self and asked the associate about the store.
