Very rude staff! My 3yr old son removed a price sign from its holder. I told him not to do that and I put the sign back in its place. 10 minutes later he does it again, as I was about to talk to him about this, a store employee starts lecturing me about how I should watch my son, she literally said that I do a bad job watching him! Who gave this woman the right to judge my skills as a mom! I was buying clothes for my son, after this experience I didn't buy anything and I haven't been in this place since then. They should know better and have more respect and patience with parents and their children since they sell children's clothes! so last year when my friend was living out of his car, and he drunkenly lost his bag full of clothes in a cab. Ok, here is the deal. The clothes here are not the same as a gap store. They are very similar though, you will see signs comparing the prices to a "like" style. On the whole it is cheaper than Gap and more costly than Old Navy stuff. The stuff that is on sale is a good deal. Its nice to have this store in the neighborhood though. The place is clean, the staff is good and dressing rooms are pletiful. It makes a nice break from the dollar stores and mexican restaurants. read more

Good sales but man-oh-man is this store always a mess. The dressing room floors are always covered in dust that ends up getting stuck on my socks. The shirts on the clearance rack are never in size order. And I often can't find a sales person when I need one. I would never buy anything in here full price because there are often pretty good sales. I just got a tank top for $4 and cardigans for $10 each, but the jeans were $60 full price and only had a 20% discout on them. read more

I've been here a bunch of time but have never reallly found any amazing deal here. It's basically the clearance racks at the normal Gaps times two. The store is usually pretty disorganized and it's a pain rummaging through all the racks. The sales people are not all too friendly either. I would just stick to the normal Gap stores, those are pretty reasonably priced as it is. read more

I love this store, they have great deals and really cute stuff. Both for adults and babies. The two star deduction is due to their staff. I went this past Saturday afternoon around 12:30ish. I stopped by to get a birthday present for the baby I nanny for. Any way, the staff was horrifically rude! The two cashiers, were so rude. One of the cashiers was also attending to the fitting room for some time. She opened the door and idk What she thought but she was like "go, the room is right there!" With her diva attitude. Good deals. However it is an outlet store. So some of the clothes can be hit or miss. Outlet quality clothes for the most part. You have to be a regular (a couple times a week) to make sure you take advantage of all the sales since they rotate the sales every few weeks onto different items. When you can hit a day where there's a 40%-50% sale on the items you want it's well worth it that you came in 5 days later to check what else is on sale. read more

Clean, organized, and the selection is always changing - the merchandise moves quickly. Usually there is a line. I usually walk out of here with something every time I come in! With 30 to 60% off regular Gap prices, you can't go wrong. Sure, to some folks, it may not have the current "cutting edge" Gap clothes ( which seems ridiculous to me) but for the savings...I bought both a gray and tan pair of vintage straight khakis for $30 instead of spending $90! I never had a problem with customer service, in fact, the salesperson adjusted my bill without any problems after I noticed that an item rang up as 30% off instead of the 60% off that was displayed. The racks can get messy on the weekend but they seem to keep things as tidy as possible. It's just a great place to shop. read more

Clothing at most retail chains, including the flagship Gap stores, is getting weirder and skankier. Maybe 3.5 stars: mixed feelings here. If I'm driving by (I live in Humboldt, so I'm not far away) and don't feel like screwing around with going downtown or schlepping out to the suburbs (which is almost never), it's A-OK. Most of the stuff that IS actually super-cheap, at least for guys, is usually too odd or not in my size (I'm neither a 28" nor a 42" waist), but that's the case anywhere. Store is spacious, clean and well-organized, generally nice staff, decent street parking. They do carry some 'normal' Gap stuff, which I was in love with fifteen years ago, but now not so much (maybe cuz I'm' older, maybe because they've out-blanded themselves with their invention of Old Navy, or maybe it's that I'm unemployed and not buying clothes much). I live near by so I stop in every so often. Some days there is an abundance of well fitting cute stuff other days its a little sparse. On one occasion I bought a crazy inexpensive pair of dress pants (admittedly not the best item to purchase at an outlet) but when they wore very quickly I took them back. The manager was a sweetheart about it. So yeah its cheaper stuff but they have a store policy comparable to higher quality stores so you can't really lose either way. It great of for casual shorts, tanks, and summer dresses. Not exactly fine clothing but it deserves 5 stars for what it is. read more

For an outlet store and its location, this place is pretty nice. Everything was neat, lots of staff on the floor, and attentive dressing room attendants. The selection is good too - not just castoffs or ugly, out-of-season stuff. Some of the markdowns are not crazy bargains, but plenty of good deals to be had on cute clothes. read more

I was in there last night, to see if I could grab some inexpensive clothes that still look stylish, for work. Or even for a night out. I was thoroughly disappointed. It's over-priced and cheaply made clothing that they mark "40% off!" I have tried this place several times over the past few months, and walked out with maybe one or two things. I remember when it was truly an outlet, and miss those days They used to get stuff form the gap stores that didn't sell, and sell them at great prices. Now, it's stuff that's specifically manufactured to be sold at the gap factory stores, and you can tell. A lot of the clothes have a high percentage of man-made fibers, and it shows. I saw a sweater that was cute, and checked the price - $64.99! It was a cotton-poly blend. This place is off my rotation. read more

Decent discounts and the store is well organized. However, I've never seen anyone attending the fitting rooms, no one offers to help or asks if you are finding everything alright, which is not a big deal for some, but there is room for improvement there. I recently made a purchase using a rewards coupon for the first time. Was not totally satisfied with the pants I got so I went back a few days later for an exchange. I got a slightly different style pants but same exact price of the ones I was exchanging so I thought there wouldn't be a problem -- again, I had never used Rewards before. Instead of explaining the rewards policy and kindly saying she could not give me an even exchange when I pointed out the pants were the same price and I just wanted to exchange them, the lady (with the contact lenses) at the register raised her eyebrow and pursed her lips saying the pants were a different style item and different price and asked if I wanted them or not. She completely took an unnecessary attitude and approach to the situation, which showed her lack of good customer service skills. I returned all my purchases and was left with no desire to shop there again. read more

i gotta give gap outlet a serious shout-out. sure, the merchandise doesn't turn over all that quickly, and the door on the kimball side of the store is permanently insisting that i enter around the corner on milwaukee, but - for a girl who needed to transform my once "workshop casual" wardrobe to "business casual", on a super-dee-duper casual budget, this place fits the bill. there are a few employees there that i see every time i go in who are incredibly accommodating, and that makes a difference! the clothes are not top quality but i usually get compliments of what i'm wearing. there are ALWAYS sales and coupons via email, and there's often a fun accessory waiting for you at the counter. all in all, a great spot! read more
