We ate lunch at El Mexicano recently and while I enjoyed my huarache, I had serious food envy over my companion's carnitas. They looked and tasted very good and, as I later learned, are a restaurant specialty. I'll definitely come back to El Mexicano! Saw this place as we were driving by and got excited. I ordered the club cold and substituted with pepper jack cheese and my wife had a turkey pesto. My wife isn't as big of fan of sandwiches as I am and she loved hers and said definitely worth going back! The bread was soft and fresh and had that little crunch that if you know you know. Mine was amazing! The meat had great taste and plenty of it! Two things that would have been an option to make mine phenomenal was to add avocado which I am sure may be an option but didn't ask and to me instead of piling on the meat I would like to see it layered so it is even throughout entire sandwich. There is so much more for us to try! I can't wait to try the meatball sandwich options!!
