He reached out to me pretty quickly when I submitted a request for an estimate. We met with Pedro who quoted a reasonable price for what we wanted done. We set up a date for him to start work which coincided with bulk pick up so that he didn't have to haul anything away. He requires a 50% deposit with the remainder upon completion of the job. It was a 2 day job because we had 40' trees that hadn't been trimmed in years. I'm so happy that I no longer have to worry about the trees falling over during a hurricane. Pedro was prompt, responsive and a hard worker. I would definitely recommend him!

Overall: He has good prices, but lost my trust as he failed to show up and took advantage of my not being in the same city as the property I asked for lawn maintenance. I sincerely hope he will learn to do better even though he didn't do right by me. *First impression* As you can read from my first review, I was really impressed with my first experience with him. He asked for a review immediately for the other company name EZ Yards, but said he had some issue with Yelp account. He responded timely and did the job amazingly. I requested lawn maintenance (hedges and mow the lawn) every two months (he insisted on monthly - I obliged bc it's small business) on my parents' property in a different city than where I live. I needed a business I could trust that would do the job and do it well. My parents are getting older and Alain seemed to understand the importance of family. And I've been taken for a ride! *The long game* I was very impressed the second time he came when I wasn't in the city because this time before asking for payment he sent pictures. *Red flags I should've noticed* - He insisted monthly maintenance, but instead came when he could. - I would receive text messages saying he was going to the property thinking he would show up only for another one to come the next week saying he was definitely going. - He never sent pictures to prove the maintenance was done, but again I thought I could trust him. *Chances Upon Chances* One of his services said he could cut tree branches. So I asked if he could trim some branches. I sent him pictures of the tree I wanted cut. He said that if he hauled them away it would be extra so it would be cheaper to leave it for the city to pick up. I told him where the city would pick up and even sent him a picture. I came to check on the property to find the tree was poorly cut and the branches left in the wrong spot. I didn't mind the tree, but told him he placed the branches in the wrong area. He said he would show up that day to move them. Then, he said he would show up the next day. He never showed. Instead, I had to move the branches myself with my older mother in the rain to avoid a citation from the city. Despite this I wanted to give him another chance, he shared with me that he had something come up with his family. He wasn't specific, but I decided to give him another chance bc of how much I love and care for my family. *The Last Experience* End of April 2021/Beginning of May 2021: I asked if he could go to the property and cut the lawn and hedges (regular lawn maintenance) bc we got a citation from the city. He said he would get to our property but it's taking him time bc he landed a big contract. Regardless, he said he cut it and asked me for $60 I came to visit my parents for Mother's Day weekend just to find that the bushes were not cut and the edges where the grass meets cement or the house were over a foot tall. I sent him pictures and circled the areas. He didn't respond. I had to text him again asked for an explanation. His response exactly: "My. Weed whacked broke on the spot." I asked about the hedges and he never responded. I don't understand why ask for money when you didn't do the job bc your machine broke? Why not tell me? My only guess is bc he knew I dont live in the same city and can only visit when I can. He never apologized nor did he say I'll come back and do it. He never offered to refund my money. I thought that he wouldn't want to lose consistent business so I was hoping he would apologize but here we are in the middle of June and I haven't heard a thing. We live in a time where trust is easily broken. It's hard to find people and business to trust. I trusted this man. I truly did, and I feel nothing short but taken advantage of. *Why then am I giving him two stars instead of one?* Bc I know deep down he is a good man. I think if you live on the property and can see the job he does immediately; He won't take advantage of you. *Use my review as a notice of caution* I want his business to succeed and maybe it's growing at an exponential rate that he can't keep up. He would rather choose businesses that offer more money than a residential home that's essentially lowering hanging fruit. Perhaps, if you go into business with him you too might want a contract. I've learned my lesson. I hope he will do better. I wish him the best, and I will fight for my money refunded from the bank.

whew...........perhaps a written, written contract is needed. verbal agreements can create…read moreproblems. cutting specific tree limbs, cleaning out a small area of vines on a dead and falling apart tree stump and cutting some overgrown and drooping palm frawns was the job and cutting down some dead palms that had no frawns. michael left some of the cutting and it was an issue. i took photos and he would not come back, stopped payment until we could resolve this matter. he was not coming back and would not respond until the bank stopped payment several days later. i asked him numerous time to come by and lets both agree those cuts were verbally discussed. he refused to discuss the matter. i simply cannot reach the palm frawns and he and his worker could. the day after no contact from him and my numerous calls to have him come by..............he chose to come to my home and dump his entire truck on my front yard, sidewalk, and drive way blocking my entrance and leaving. i could not move my car if an emergency occurred. illegal dumping because none,repeat none of the garbage in those piles, huge piles were from my yard!!! i took photos and had neighbors look at the cuttings and the garbage and none of the cuttings were from my yard. they were from his jobs since mine and before he went to the dump. it was illegal and i will take legal action as a result. this is so immature and unprofessional. he worked and he should get paid and i had no reason to not pay him, however, the work was not as agreed upon and i asked him to please come back and cut the remainder and a new check would be given to him immediately. instead, he illegally dumped his truck full of other garbage and cuttings which were not from my yard in my front yard, on top of lawn, on top of plants, covered the sidewalk and prevented my vehicle from exiting the driveway. i have photos to prove every aspect of this experience. every aspect of this illegal dumping. i have numerous photos of the dumped illegal cuttings and garbage and they are not from my yard!!! going to court with the photos and the explanation.
