His work does so much for the local community, especially through the way he highlights and gives real spotlight to Las Vegas business owners and local talent. You can tell this isn't just a magazine, it's a platform rooted in appreciation, storytelling, and community pride. I'm especially grateful that he took the time to give me a tour and walk me through what he has planned. Hearing his vision and seeing it come to life behind the scenes made me appreciate the publication even more. The passion, creativity, and intention behind it all really show. I love meeting people like this in our community ...talented, driven, and genuinely invested in uplifting others. Myvegas Magazine is a reflection of that energy, and it's exciting to see how much impact one thoughtfully built platform can have. Las Vegas is lucky to have creators like this telling its stories the right way

Again, no one reviewed this? You can't not go on the strip and not see this magazine tossed around…read morewith all the coupons, booklets and things. It's probably one of the biggest distributed publications on and about the strip. The articles are so standard, I flip thru them all. you're read about all the attractions on the strip if you live here. I go thru the dining section, but all they feature is the most expensive/ celebrity chef places. If you know me, you know I prefer the small janky off strip places that don't have a corporate office and most likely have the owner working a shift. THAT'S Americana. The best thing about this magazine is actually the pullout map. It's not only of the strip, but the whole valley. It's probably the best detailed street map on one page I've seen. It unfolds once, not 30 times like a street map. they have a basic information page or 2 that tells someone stepping off the place what to expect, like the long ignored tip guide. the tip guide should be placed next to the podium on poster board upon entry. I've worked many, many restaurants, not just family ones and made less than the 8% employees are taxed on tips. They're based on the sales tax of what a server sells in a shift and doesn't account for tipping out busser, bartender and sometimes expediter. They also have a nightclub section that is interesting, because it also lists the hosts and numbers you can contact for VIP hosting services. what's interesting is the clubs they leave out where I know they provide such services. If you know, write them down and write me if you see the common denominator I saw. I've seen casinos and timeshares slap their own cover over the existing cover. I've seen Tropicana, Tahiti Village and Buffalo Bills, from what I remember. It's magazine size (only about 3 of the strip guides are), so just look for a second cover if you really need to pursue this.

944 Magazine

In a sea of magazines featuring with bikini-clad women, postcard perfect resort photos or super…read moretrendy club interiors, 944 stands out with its austere, completely pink cover. Unfamiliar with the magazine, I don't know if the particular issue (July '07) I have is an exception to the rule because it is their 2 year, "Two Going on Awesome" edition. Fans of bikini-clad women, postcard perfect resort photos or super trendy club interiors need not worry, though -- The magazine delivers all of that + a plethora of who's who photos & where. You'll know which parties to hit & what to expect. For those interested in other delights, 944 also covers shows like Picasso's Ceramics at Bellagio's Gallery of Fine Art. "Tech Toys" introduces us to Techno Source's new audio & light-enhanced Rubik's Revolution Cube. The secret to their success: Their "editorial has stayed tighter than an 18-year old gymnast." -- Letter from the publisher The articles are short, yet informative. Plenty of glossy photos. Plenty of glossy advertisements, too, but I'll forgive them because everyone has to make a living somehow. Besides, how else would I learn that Jaime Pressly will be celebrating her birthday inside the Pussycat Dolls Lounge at Pure Nightclub in Caesars Palace?? July 27th -- Mark your calendars. My one question -- Why the redundant labeling in "Everyday Masterpieces"? The text box already identifies the objects in the photos & the overall composition of the page is ruined. I didn't care for the layout in "Slippery When Wet", either. Some of the text positioning is awkward. In contrast, the concept & execution of "We All Scream for Ice Cream" was flawless. Ditto for "Building Blocks". Although 944 is heavy-handed with the usual, stereotypical Vegas material, it does manage to offer more. It's very: Bikinis, Babes, Beer... Books & Beyond! Thankfully, the talented staff manages to tie it altogether in an entertaining & quick read that is not simply a mishmashed mess.

Always hip and up to the date news and info taking place in Vegas.read more
